  1. Interesting. I think if I didnt already have a single DIN HU installed and I was looking for one, I would give that a try! The shiney plastic does look a bit cheap on mine, but not sure its worth £30 to upgrade it.
  2. How I would do it: 1. Snow foam the car to loosen dirt 2. Rinse 3. Wash car with 2BM method. Have one bucket as just water with a grit guard. Have 2 washmitts, one for top part of car, one for bottom part. Rub wash mit against grit guard in one bucket, then rinse in the next. 4. Rinse again 5. Dry with a big drying towel. Place it on the paint and dab it. Remove (dont drag!) and place on the next bit of body, dab and remove. Repeat all over the car. Dont use a flexiblade or wipe the car dry Job done with minimal swirls
  3. I have a Krispy Kreme next door to me at work. Very very dangerous it is too
  4. Did a Nova driver tell you that?
  5. How did you get that then? Stole it from some poor GTR owner? You need to scribble out GTR and put Z33 on it
  6. +1 and machine correction if it needs it after claying (not likely).
  7. I personally wouldnt want to risk starting it. You might be able to attach it and turn the ignition on but dont go all the way to starting it. That might be enough to see if it kicks up the engine light. Is there not a way of resetting it to some base map?
  8. Ebay is the usual place for good deals, but you might have to wait a while for them to come up. I got some Sparco boots (RRP £200+) for £24 brand new and some gloves for a fiver (again Sparco / Nomex). Other than that, its a case of buying new, and I dont have a clue where to get the stuff from!
  9. Their GM was pretty far off on my car when they made me some touch up paint. Got chips away to mix me some up later on and they said there were 2 ways listed on their system to mix WV2 (GM). They had to do both to even get it close. So I would say you can try it, but I wouldnt bet on it being right
  10. I think KKs have successfully taken over Dans thread. That'll teach ya for teasing us
  11. I think everyone is more interested in getting Krispy Kremes

    !

Should be, Adam sells them so will know. How do they terminate? Do they have a hook on the end for an eyelet mount or do they finish on the bar?
  13. Chris`I

    !

Depends on the harness you have. If you get them made to measure, you can specify which finish you have Most I have seen in Zeds terminate at the bar and dont run down to the chasis.
  14. Sorry just caught this. Had a poke about with the OBDII reader and it looks like it will only read and clear CEL light, and not do a full ECU reset. You'd need to do it with the pedals (which appears not to be working) or get Nissan to hook up CONSULT to it and do it that way. Looks like you'll need to goto Nissan after all.
  15. TGM Sport are in Fleet. They are predominantly a Honda specialist, but they are learning the Zed. They dont offer any tuning (dyno tuning) though. Best thing to do to see if its been altered is to whip off the trim that covers the ECU and see if there are any extra boxes in there

+1 As subtle as ever Ian Plenty of pics on my350z.com guyz
  17. What is it Mark? Im excited!! Hopefully hes got it cheaper! I would definately push for the original £300 if nothing else! Need to be sure what they are offering for the money. Usually its an hourly rate and they will do say 4hrs to start and then add more if needed. I'd be asking a few more questions if I were you about what they propose to do with the time
  18. Not able to do it Thursday evening as I'm busy unfortunately, but Friday evening I should be about, where abouts are you based? Alternatively, its the Chilli's mod(s) day this coming Sat/Sun if you can hold out and make it to Chobham? Plenty of people with experience going to be there. Dont worry about payments, thats what the community is for
  19. There's the answer - M350ZB is hogging cyber space I heard he is trying to download the internet
  20. Hmm, I wouldnt fit it yourself and drive it there then if its been used on an FI car. You dont know what map is on it, which could be very dangerous. I would rock up, fit it and push it in £400+VAT seems reasonable for tuning depending on what they are doing. I guess their hourly rate on the dyno is about £100, which equates to 4hrs dyno/tuning time which should get you a good map
  21. And he had a JDM Zed when he tested it. It wasnt the UK one. When they did it again with the 3 soft tops he liked it much more but still not raving about it. Rest of TG team liked it though
  22. Possibly something to do with the O2 sensors on the cats? When you scraped, it will have been the Y-pipe which is connected to the cats, could have dislodged the sensors or wiring.
  23. Dont think they yeild too much of a gain from what I've heard. It just sorts out your AFR which brings that back into the best ratio for power, but there are other things you can turn with a piggyback I think which yeild even more gains. I saw somewhere that fit and turn it for about £300+Vat, which isnt worth it if he can get unichip for £400+VAT
