  1. Nice one Mr Mac, glad to see it all sorted! Maybe a case you put in too much grease?
  2. I use IE8 and FF quite interchangably (IE at home, FF at work) and cant say I really notice much difference. Sure with some tweaking FF is faster, but not by a lot. The problem with IE is sometimes it decides to display the page differently to how its meant to be!
  3. What scale is D1RC Chris? sounds quite fun... 1/10 scale RC mate. I'll bring it along to the Chilli's too if I can make it on the Sunday. The social sec has double booked me They had them at Silverstone in by the scuteneering enclosure and are going to be at Brands too Shame theres no one near me that does RC drift
  4. Quick question, does the discount apply to +1s? Just wanted to clarify before telling Amanda her ticket is more expensive than mine Oh and in relation D1RC, I'll bring my drift Zed (HPI Sprint 2 drift) for people to have a go with if they fancy it
  5. I think the others have the £13k for an 09 bit covered Check out the For Sale threads on here and Piston Heads, they are the best places. Post up the ones you are interested in and we'll let you know if its a good deal etc and what to look out for in terms of condition and any damage etc.
  6. Attendees: 1. H5 2. Chris`I +1 (put some bits in bold in your post Rob to make them stand out )
  7. Step away from the eBay turbo kit .......
  8. Wish there was some info regarding points and fines (new information-apparent law change-june 09), still cant really find anything on line Just phone the DVLA............. Indeedy, they will put you straight. Personally, I agree with a strict line on plates. Make them all the same size and spacing, and we can all just get on with enjoying the car rather than coppers pulling everyone and having a moan. They can get rid of scum with no insurnace, which means if someone hits mean, I will at lease be able to claim against them and not have to claim off my insurance which does away with my no claims! This also means the DVLA cant sell plates with different prices too as they cant spell anything, they should all be a set price. And that will never happen
  9. Think I might give that one a miss! No chance of getting through there without autopilot! Martins got that one stitched up!
  10. Need to speak to the powers that be. This seems to be a very busy weekend. Looks to clash with the Chilli's mod days. I was going to them on the Sunday but now going to support some mates doing the London to Brighton which I was already down to do. Now looks like Sat will be take up with this Should be a good meet though
  11. I managed to get some Sparco Daytonas brand new off eBay for £25! Bargin! I think they are quite an old model, but found them on an Aussie site for as much as AU$499 which is £250! Even carbon slut would approve, they have carbon like weave in the soles
  12. Yeah there was, but it looked f'in dangerous! Just get a G35/37
  13. Missed this first time around, its class
  14. Where are they parking on your property? I say stick signs up to say clamping is in operation and then clamp them if they are on your property. If it is indeed your property, I beleive this is compeltely legal and it might pay for a mod or 2 to your car
  15. Plugins are very easy to install, just drop them in the plugin directory under Centrafuse install dir and away you go! Dont think I have any installed at present but I have tried a few in the past I'm sure. WRT the phone, I try not to use my phone in the car so dont use Nissan nor CF bluetooth
  16. If you drive smoothly there shouldnt be anything to be scared of going from FWD to the RWD Zed, its very well composed. If you want to scare the crap out of yourself go try an S2000 in the wet! Compared to the Zed its very very twitchy!
  17. As Rich said, its all about being smooth. Be smooth on and off the throttle, brake and steering inputs. No jerky inputs and the car will act nice and smoothly in return and wont snap at you. The suggestion of keeping the revs low is excellent. The Zed has a wide power band and even at low revs you have more then enough power. Drive it like its a new car for a bit, ie under 3.5k revs and get used to it. When you are happy with that try upping the revs and see how it behaves. Remember to be smooth and it should just grip and grip. Be snappy with it and it will bite you in the arse.
  18. And the missus wonders why we are not married yet Think it all goes out the window after marriage!
  19. PB wheel sealant gets the thumbs up from me
  20. Think you made the right decision chap. If they have no idea why it was done, walk away, you dont know what mess its hiding. Be grateful your mate spotted it Keep your chin up, theres plenty out there to be had. Its just unfortunate that the price range you are looking for, there will be a lot of worse for wear examples than if you were looking at a higher price. But keep looking and you will find a corker. Tim (Lomoto) sold his pristine example for around that price I think
  21. Usually its caused by pad material bonding to the disc. Can you see any outline of pads imprinted on the disc? I had this before and they just needed braking in again to get rid of it (burns off the bonded pad material).
  22. There is a window reset procedure on the site somewhere. It involves taking off the door card and fiddling with some limit switches IIRC. That should sort the problem Try searching "window reset"
