  1. I just got a PM one through from Martin, pretty much instantly Threads take a little while sometimes (backlogs) but they are working pretty fast atm. Remember guys its not just how quick our email server can send them out, but also all the servers and stuff on route to you. It depends how quick they are too
  2. If it does work then Ill be doing an ecu reset every morning - cheaper then an ECU upgrade It will reset the fuel trim, so you will likely see some gains again. Not as much as an ECU upgrade/remap, but you'll get some back. Also you will feel it go away again in a day or so driving.
  3. As Mark has said, Unichip, while not being the best piggyback out there, will be fine for NA modding. As long as the mapper is good, that is what is key. £400 seems a good price for the chip and mapping, RSTuning are offering reflashing and remapping of the original ECU for about £500 +VAT so its a good deal you've been made. Just dont expect too much out of it, its not an FI car! As I said before the key is a good mapper, they are the ones in control of the results. Its a good price and if it gets around the speed limiter too I dont see why not. Just dont expect to be able to reuse it if you want to go FI with decent results.
  4. Do you mean reset or reflash the ECU? I live about 2 mins drive from Basingstoke Nissan and have an OBDII reader which should be able to reset the ECU, but if you cannot do it via the pedals and key I'm not sure it will work. But hey we can give it go! I can do it tonight if you are around Basingstoke? Reflashing the ECU is a whole new ball game, never heard of anyone doing that other than for remapping purposes. Basingstoke Nissan will rape you a treat for doing the work if its on a hourly basis, but I dont know any local experts at the required level to sort this for you unfortunately.
  5. They sounds gorgeous too. Like the Nismo of the bike world, lovely and deep, but all hell breaks loose at higher revs. Really have to hear one, by far the best sounding bike out there
  6. Dont think he'll ride it anywhere, he'll just look at it! In which case I suggest a Fogarty replica 916, they are just beautiful!
  7. Its dead easy, 2 simple steps - point and squirt. The electronics and 4WD do all the rest. Depends on which version you get. The RS like mine for example doesn't have AYC, or ABS and has proper plated LSD's. You just have to be difficult dont you From some stories I've heard of AYC supposidly biting ppl in the arse, you are probably better off without it!
  8. There is also a new update to CF bluetooth I saw the other day. Should make it all work a bit better, might check it out
  9. Come on guys, should be a great day, just like JTS
  10. Yes being a bike rider makes you a better driver, but only if you are a good rider. It makes you more aware of your surroundings, what other drivers are doing, other hazzard and generally just better observation and judgement. I agree with what Adam says about n00bs getting big bikes and smaller ones spanking it. Its the same with cars. Down a couple of local roads I could constantly spank knobs in Porkers in my Clio 1.2 because I knew the roads and more importantly the cars limits. I could take the corners much faster and they can only start to catch you on the straights.
  11. Nice one matey. Did you have autopilot or were you just up most nights sailing it by hand? Your couse looked to be very good, better than I could do in the hours I was awake (lost most time when I was asleep). I'm anyway 19,929 not too shabby
  12. Trim removal tool will scratch the interior, how is it going to do that? It goes behind the trim right to the point of the clip to make sure you dont flex anything, it applies pressure straight to the clip. Just wait until you try removing the trim a few times and get a bit voilent with it, you will break the clips. I've heard lots of people breaking clips with no tool, and with it, never heard of anyone breaking clips. For a couple of quid off eBay, they are well worth it
  13. Its dead easy, 2 simple steps - point and squirt. The electronics and 4WD do all the rest.
  14. I kinda have to disagree a little bit. The Zed has very linear power delivery and although it has a lot of power, its very easy to drive slowly and sensibly (if the driver has the mental capabilites ) and keep in control. I agree its not an ideal first car, but its not a killer like an Evo or S2000 could be. The throttle is very responsive and not at all over sensitive. A supersport bike (600cc) is complete animal in comparison! I would compare an R6/CBR600/600ZZR to something akin to a tuned up Evo in terms of power delivery. Totally ruthless power!
  15. Even an R6 is a mental bike, I think you should be looking for something a bit less crazy. A CBF600 would be a good 500CC+ size bike which isnt too crazy. Trust me when I tell you the throttle on the R6 is more like an on/off switch. One twitch and the bike will be launching up the road faster than you've ever been before, if you meant it or not
  16. There is indeed a Jap meet tomorrow outside Comet. We get there about 7-7:30pm and stay until about 8:30-9pm. Then off to the pub or home. Come along and say hi, we dont bite
  17. Yeah, you get that quite a lot from people that dont understand the heritage of the car. Just keep smiling, waving and flashing (lights!) and you'll get some back one day! My ratio is about 3 non-regconitions to every one wave/flash I get
  18. This is a joke right? Pulling our legs? I've grown up on bikes and my R6 still scares the hell out of me Its nothing like riding a MTB, trust me, I've been riding them too since I was about 3yrs old! If you are serious, go direct access, but get a 125cc and learn to ride it properly. I "officially" went straight to the R6 and its far more capable than me and most people that ride. You wont learn anything from that fast a bike, it will just be like holding on for dear life, and if anything dodgy happens, you wont react right and then you will be Deadrush
  19. I saw you finally got off the rocks. Was hoping the PM would trigger an email to you and get you going quicker
  20. I'd say scam. Plenty of other good models out there, just not that cheap! You get what you pay for, or in this case you might not!
