  1. They already are, they have their own section, what more do they want
  2. Yup life is full of ...if only I had'nt sold that... Give it a few years and you'll be saying that about the Zed

WOw, what a thread revival! Its uses the OEM mounting bolts for the undertray and tape across the centre peice. Also 2 self tappers each side. Fit is excellent
  4. But with DD SN you can have a nice ground between ultra hard wearing waxes (Collinite) and gloss of soft wax (P21S). It really has to be tried to be beleived. I think it gives just as much gloss/wet look as P21S but is far harder wearing
  5. Yup exactly. Once the air is movin there is very little differnce between short and long ram as they both draw in cold air. When you arent moving so much (mainly noticed on the dyno!), the short ram will not be able to suck in cold air but the long ram can. When moving its all good as the short ram gets fed fresh air from in front of the rad, forced in by the air flow around the car. So short or long doesnt really matter when moving but heat soak is a PITA with short ram when stop start driving.
  6. Leave it where is is mate, its better there, but happy for you to try my typhoon on there to see if there is a difference as I wanted to try out a long tube! 50/50 I would say. Short ram gives shorter intake tract, but gives more heat soak. Longer means the car has to suck harder to get air, but the pay off is much colder air and less heatsoak. When moving, short ram would be better (slightly) but when stop starting, long would be better. If you have an OBD reader, you could play with both and see what difference it makes. On any other car, you might expect intake temps and aiflow (CFM) to change, but as the Zed is FBW, I expect all you will see change is the intake temps
  7. Think the acutal sensor plugs/mounts into the tube so you lose the OEM black housing. I guess it must be on the side we cant see or underneath.
  8. You'll be supprised how much that fools you! It takes a while for the ECU to trim out the gains, but it will. Also heat soak is quite an issue with these open cones, something I didnt appreciate fully until I got my car dyno'd. Intake temps are much higher on the dyno, but I still made stock power all the same. Dont know if that means I get more power on the road or if the Zed truely does tune the power it gives you. Dont think anyone really has the answer
  9. They gotta learn the limits some how! More crashing that distruction derby in 125s!
  10. I've heard high heat for 10 mins can do the trick. Its not killing it, but removing the moisture in the air that the bacteria breeds on that stops it. Comma also works from what I've heard. Or just run your aircon on all the time like Mark says, thats what I do and never have a smell.
  11. Hadn't realised it was Fathers day till it was too late either, but the only weekend when there wasn't another meet! We have a big telly! Might have to be antisocial and sit in your living room to watch it if thats ok I'm sure you won't be alone Chris If its anything like the last race, we might only be watching it til the 1st turn anyway
  12. Where abouts are you based mate? I havent heard of this before, but sure we can get someone to sort it or put you in the right direction
  13. MotoGP, thats where its at, more overtaking in one lap than all season in F1 F1 is getting a bit boring now. Undoubtebly Buttons driving and car are second to none at the moment, I just wish that the other teams would hurry up and catch them. Just dont know how Hamilton can have such a bad car
  14. Glad to see it sorted chap. How long was the car not started for? I know with my old bike batterys (small as the JDM car ones are), if you let them drain too much over time, they just refuse to take charge. I have a feeling this is what has happened to yours, and new battery will do the trick as it appears to have
  15. Fair enough, but unless its been machine polished, I find it hard to believe no swirls in Nissans paint I picked up the GFs new car at the weekend (09 plate, just landed when we got it) and it had swirls on it already! Agree, GM is not really a colour you can add depth to with wax. Best you can achieve is a glossy finish with nice fleck "pop". You wont get as near as deep a finish as a dark colour, but hey it hides the swirls and muck well!

  17. Its a week past Tues (16th) All dates are on the first page
  18. How old is the car and how swirly is the paint? The single biggest improvement I got to shine on my GM was to machine polish it. P21S made it nice and glossy but didnt last long. Dodo Supernatral gives it just as much depth as P21S did, but also brings out the flecks a lot more and lasts a lot longer. I never found EGP to do either of these. Saying that, its only in really sunny conditions that you notice it
  19. +1 - mine had a nice old lady just catch the rear corner of the bumper but it broke the tab that holds the read indicator/fog cluster to the bumper which reqired me getting a new one. The damage was tiny but cost about £2k for their insuance to fix. Saying that, the seller should have been forthcoming with that information as like you say its gutting to get there and discover it. When I go to sell mine, I will tell prospective buyers its been done and why it was done, along with supporting docs, and thats even though you cant notice it and only the bumper was sprayed. Wish you all the best in your search, there are plenty of good examples out there, so sure it wont take long. You will be over the moon when you finally find the right one
