  1. Just picked up the c.guide and for anyone that remembers the DCD (Dave's Chain Device), this thing is tiny in comparison! Look forward to testing it out soon
  2. Did you decide to under-bike yourself so that there were no complaints then? I've had quite a few orders in recently for Passportes preparation. Will have to get some pics up! + Avid Elixir 9's (my Elixir CRs onto Amanda's) + New brake pads all round + All brakes bled with Dot 5.1 (spare pot of 5.1 to take with us) + Few new t-shirts and shorts (Stif were doing Fox stuff quite cheap) + Bionic c.guide v02 to shut my chain up + Some Superstar grips + XT Trail SPDs + G-Form knee pads The list will continue. I'm resisting getting a droppy seat post as I know bar PdS I will virtually never use it.
  3. Steve Jobs put it quite nicely why they dont support flash - and good on them I say - Flash is EVIL! http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
  4. I just make sure when I am away anywhere that the hotel has wifi I've found 3G works better on my iPad than iPhone, I assume because it has a bigger antenna. Still a bit woeful though. Just make sure you dont depend on it. Thats why I bought a Garmin GPS (800) for the bike
  5. highway agency or police +1 hope you got it reported ASAP. If its got sand on it then it will very likely be a Diesel spill and obviously they havent cleaned it up properly Glad you're ok though, that would have been scary
  6. Like 3G but faster Probably wont be in your area for at least another year or 2, thats if we're lucky
  7. Yup its something to look into. Not sure why its doing it mind. I hadnt noticed as I always use "View Unread Posts". I'll see if Mr Chesterfield has any ideas.
  8. GLWS Looks like the Zed is going to try and shove it off the drive too
  9. A guy at work is going to get the S3. Gonna have a serious look at it before deciding on whether to get a new iPhone when it comes out or not. Could be a real contender.
  10. This is what I used to do in the 350z. If you dont need to slow down quickly then I'd just down change and blip using just engine braking to slow down, only using heel-toe when I needed to brake at the same time If you can do it properly it will save wear and tear on the gearbox and clutch so well worth doing if you can.
  11. I think you are looking at October 2025 judging by the current progress I was going to say never to late to join in, but at the current rate you may well have kicked the bucket before its arrived! Hopefully Zedley is coming on an MTB excursion with AK and I up some rather large hills
  12. Because they then have to support all the different types of USB devices and memory cards out there. Want to know why Windows phones areso bloated and slow? Its because they do the opposite of Apple and support every device under the sun. By only having to support their own hardware they can make it super optmised and run really fast on their hardware. Imagine if Abbey tuned every type of engine under the sun rather than focusing on Nissan. By working with Nissan they learn all the neat tricks to make it run that little bit better. They wouldnt do that if they diversified into loads of other brands. Same thing with Apple. Its annoying on the face of it, but when you try out the swish interface that reacts instantly to your inputs, you can appreciate the effort.
  13. Looking good. Maybe all us 40th Ed owners should have our wheels redone in this colour when we kerb them. Eventually it will make it as the official colour
  14. Clearly this is what happens when BMW drivers use the optional indicators. It took so much effort to operate them that he forgot to look in his mirrors
  15. Reversing camera is now part of Connect Premium and they've upped the price a few hundred quid for it I think. Should have been like that as soon as they put CP in the car really
  16. Glad you like it Mark. It is quiet expensive but Brian has done a lot of R&D. Although its only a few wires and connectors, he does use a Nissan connector AFAIK and knowing their prices, that may well make up 50% of his cost. Will I can show you my cam at Jims final hurrah if you are coming?
  17. +1 I always use the rule. If you can`t afford to repair or replace the car DON`T TRACK IT!! One reason why mine hasnt been anywhere near one yet and wont do until it drops in value quite a bit
  18. BIG +1 I hate it when people have such simple ideas that appear so obvious afterwards. At least with something like Dyson, I'm satisfied that I'm not clever enough to have designed what he has done. This though is like taking candy from a baby, and just look at how much money its earnt him!
  19. No that would be Amanda. Good luck if you have a missus getting them to sit in an Elise/Exige for long distances. No trouble in the Zed though. Its all horses for courses though.
  20. Also, anyone else remember that Martin W ran his wheels mismatched for god knows how long until another member spotted it at TGM Sport on day? He never came off the road in a ball of flames, so I'm guessing the car can cope with it. And that was on an FI'd Zed with considerably more power than stock.
  21. The fact still stands that the OP still did a full morning on the wrong setup. If it was that wrong it would have happened much sooner. I'd hazzard a guess it did contribute to it but not with the emphasis some people are putting on it. Sure talk to CAB or any free legal you get, it cant hurt. Approach the garage and see if theres any good will to be had. But dont expect to win if you try and take it to court. The OP seems to have the right idea, so I think we are better focusing on how to fix his car than who to chase to get it fixed for free.
  22. Also, lest not forget that the OP has - from what I gather - already said that he did a morning session on the car like this. NO doubt it is highly likely that it attributed to it, but no way you will nail this on the garage unfortunately. Its hard enough to do it when you spot the problem and go straight back, let alone when its left their site so long ago
  23. Surely that is the admin charge and nothing to do with the details that you actually changed? Unfortuantely they have charges like that to keep the prices of those that dont change details mid year down. I had the same charge when I moved from my 350z to 370z, rather amazing going from an older car (~£8k) to a spanking new one (~£35k) it was the only thing they charged me!
