  1. Seriously, it takes about 5 mins to remove those things. The Zed has an immobiliser, you dont need any more, if they try to nick it they wont get anywhere. Steering lock just screams try and nick me to me, it taunts people to think there is a reason to nick it. If someone wants it, a steering lock really wont do anything

Speak to Martinmac, he looked into it I beleive
  3. I've fit some in mine. TBH they arent much brighter than OEM and they dont look much different. They were just left over from trying many different ones for the clear foglights for BigPhil to find the brightest out there. I'll try and get you some pics tomorrow if I can Search the foglight threads for the LED bulbs you need. I think its something like JPWarden on eBay.
  4. Admitedly the road noise is quite high in the car, but that just makes it more fun as you can head the car. Would be far more boring to have a dead quiet cabin like an Audi. The one big thing that Nissan missed a trick on was the exhuast. Its a shame you pretty much have to change it from new as its just far too muted Also wouldnt read much into their Nismo crash, everyone on the US forums (loads over there and proper track 370z) say that it must have been driver error as the pads go off just as normal as with any other car, the driver should have felt it first. They all agree it must have been pilot error
  5. +1 - start doing them Paul
  6. Definately think we should have good attendance at all shows this year given the number of active members
  7. Shouldnt be mate, the fixings all go in via the front. Its a sod to get them out again though! The fixing that goes into the bumper (that the scew for the mount goes in), is a pesky thing that folds up and once its in, part of it spins around to stop it coming out again. I got one out without breaking it but the other one broke. Plate with Halfords tape will be fine too
  8. Good to see you are making excellent progress chap. I found if you remove the top left hand cover on the rear strub bar, you can fit the GPS mouse in there nicely and run the cable down to the pc in the cubby area. The plastic fits over the top with no real drop in reception. Keeps it all nicely hidden then
  9. Yup, I'm sure Abbey said if you have oil problems the thicker oil was better as not so much could get passed the seals, and its also better for higher temps. 5w vs 10w is just the cold start viscosity (sp?), either will be fine. I think in ye oldy days, 5w pretty much just meant it was synthetic and 10w was more traditional oil?
  10. Yup, looks like you and the car are coming along nicely
  11. Dying battery would be my guess. The Zed is picky about the battery, and even if its reading 12v doesnt mean it will have the juice to crank the big 3.5 lump into life
  12. I think it changed with the updated interior at some point, but older cars only have it on the drivers side. or JDM only, not sure I think it was mainly JDMs and the very last models in the UK. You can tell by the switch, if its auto up/down on both sides, the switches on the drivers side both have an "A" in them I believe
  13. You cant get a legal plate made from vinyl, it wont have the official BS stamp on it. Craigsplates get close, they have vinyl plates that conform to the standards but dont actually have them (ie no BS marking), if that makes sense. I looked into getting them on my car, and for the purpose of not getting stopped they'd be fine, but technically they are not legal, on plastic plates are
  14. Its a John Bean 4 wheel lazer alignment machine Sure Mitz can ellaborate. EDIT: Piccie stolen from Nurrish
  15. There is also a guide on here that details how to strip down and clean the motor. A few have reported good results of it. In no way take it to a dealer, they will just throw parts at it until it is fixed! The BCM is highly unlikely to be the problem and yes they are £500 from a dealer
  16. Mine is positioned the same as Nixys. Not sure if the Halfrauds plates will have enough flex, I got mine off a member on here who ran a whole load off for the club and some show plates, forget the members name now
  17. Dont write yourself off so soon
  18. Ditto, got another tenna off that as it was his open day, but they did a great job, before and after printouts and asked me how I wanted it set up. That was just with OEM geometry though, not lowered or anything. Felt brilliant afterwards
  19. Thats what I'd assumed, hence I didnt know if you had it. Glad it worked though
  20. Would love to. Do they do 350z/370z hire cars over there? Lumix are a very good camera, but as you say its very bright out where you are. If you look to get a new camera, try to get one that you can fit filters to and get a UV filter or polarising filter, should help cut a lot of it out
  21. Thats a good question, I can do it via a Moderate link at the bottom of the image, do you have anything similar, an edit link maybe? Sure one of the men in red will be over soon to explain
  22. You're past help. Hehe, I'll get my coat. No you're right
  23. Is that a general question (in which case my personal answer is no, they generally know what they are doing and do it very well) or aimed at Vik54 (in which case I'll let her answer)? agreed, mods know how the forum is running and voting a candidate on would only lead to possibly getting someone who is popular on the forum, but maybe not mature enough with the responsibility. its not easy remaining impartial and i have often noticed the mods stepping back and not being personal in a situation. Thanks Rich, glad someone apprciates the rock and hard place we are put between sometimes. We have seen a lot of mod potential, but its consistency and impartiality that can rule candidates out - and stepping back when needed - and we have to feel we as a team will all get on. Someone may show brilliant potential but then do something off hand which then rules them out, and I for one think we have quite a lot of female mod potential, but most arent around on the forum enough, although they are on more and more each day - so things may change. We're all human and just trying to do the best for the forum and we cant make everyone happy, especially with the growing demographic trying to cater for an ever more diverse community. Spot on Immy. If anyone would like to discuss it in more detail, please feel free to PM the mods. Contrary to popular belief we dont live on the forums and read every single thread, we cant, although I am sat here at 6:40am typing a reply as I get ready for work as I feel it deserves to be answered
  24. Wheres the setting, I couldnt find it. Could swear I had bottom right looks like >> Nice one
  25. My comment wasn't aimed at that particular picture (which I actually found very artistic) - it was more the general levels of debasement some of the threads fall to at times from certain parties.... +1 - mine too was aimed at the level chat/spam making mods lives hard not the pic in question
