  1. Maybe check out my350z for the BCs, I'm sure theres quite a few on there running them, they seem quite popular with the 370z crowd too, but the 370z lot havent put that many miles on them I dont think. Maybe not a problem if you get them from Mitz as we know he has excellent customer service and its not your daily driver. Depends if you want to have more adjustability for the cost, so something simpler from KW knowing they are good for many many miles.
  2. Doesnt sound good Trev Dont know how much of that is just an Evo/Scooby issues, but I thikn I'd stick with something known to have good longevity then Dave like the KW or Nismo. I know a few members on here have BC's so it'd be interesting to see if any of them have put decent miles on them and see how they are getting on.
  3. No worries, Tom and the chaps are great, and the price is very good too
  4. I think they just dont like me? Young with money, obviously not your usual Micra buyer, they probably arent used to the levels of service I expect, but if they expect to shift 370z's they definately need to up their game. In contrast, WLMG (albeit they are about to become a HPC) are head and shoulders above them. I asked WestWay why the 370z satnav wasnt touchscreen as I'd seen in other places and why no postcode entry - they replied they didnt know. I asked WLMG the same, they didnt know either, but they went off to NMGB, chased them up, asked them, got back to me and confirmed it was the 2010 model revision that bough it to the market, and told me when I could order one like that. Basingstoke never got back to me after my test drive like they were meant to - so obviously didnt want a sale
  5. Does look interesting - the Stig in car form - if the Stig was a transformer this is what he'd be They story behind it is crazy, some guys decided to build a car, so they did, and this was the outcome! Mad.
  6. As discussed before Dave, BC's get a very good writeup on all forums I have seen them on. Think they are about the same price as the KW V1, but have a lot more adjustability. I wouldnt go for just springs if you can afford coilies, as reselling coilies will make the money back on them anyway, and as Dan says they will ride so much better having matched springs and dampers. Personally, I'd see what Alex is wanting for the Nismo's and price that up against the BCs
  7. Lovely colour - but Basingstoke shouldnt be allowed to sell them or 370z's their sales team is shocking! Lack of communication and general poor service lost them the sale of a new 370z Buyer beware - double check everything with them to make sure its what it appears, mine had a few more owners I found out after recieving the V5 after buying from them
  8. I think one of the rental/lease companies does. I'm sure I've seen pre-loved 350's in their listings occasionally. 370z might be a tad new yet. I'm sure between all the cars we could arrange a co-pilot ride. Maybe a ride in one of the ballistic old school Z racecars? You'd certainly get a feel for noise, you hear every mechanic part moving in the old school ones. You'd love it. Dont tempt me, I'd end up not coming back! Off to check Jobserve/LinkedIn for jobs in NZ
  9. Been trying to get it in my local Blockies for ages, but they never have it in. They have it to buy, but I only want to watch it once! I have heard its very good, and certainly looks good from the ads. Will deffo be sure to watch it
  10. They were talking about the Z33 at that point as they mentioned Ajay Panchal who was the Z33 designer, and also mention the 3.5l lump in the same bit
  11. As Mark says the massive difference to the Nismo intakes is Stillen relocate the filters (K&N) to the outside of the engine bay, inside the bumper. So they suck much colder air. The intakes were originally designed for the 370z and modded to fit the HR engine 350z's. I would go hands down Stillen over Nismo, but you'll need a remap to see the real gains. The other thing that sets them apart, is part of their R&D was tube lenth compared to MAF placement, they beleive they found a few extra ponies by the airflow being smoother over the MAF compared to ones like the Nismo where the MAF is directly behind the filter. Build quality is very good, so jump on the GB and save a few quid over importing one yourself
  12. Seriously, it takes about 5 mins to remove those things. The Zed has an immobiliser, you dont need any more, if they try to nick it they wont get anywhere. Steering lock just screams try and nick me to me, it taunts people to think there is a reason to nick it. If someone wants it, a steering lock really wont do anything

Speak to Martinmac, he looked into it I beleive
  14. I've fit some in mine. TBH they arent much brighter than OEM and they dont look much different. They were just left over from trying many different ones for the clear foglights for BigPhil to find the brightest out there. I'll try and get you some pics tomorrow if I can Search the foglight threads for the LED bulbs you need. I think its something like JPWarden on eBay.
  15. Admitedly the road noise is quite high in the car, but that just makes it more fun as you can head the car. Would be far more boring to have a dead quiet cabin like an Audi. The one big thing that Nissan missed a trick on was the exhuast. Its a shame you pretty much have to change it from new as its just far too muted Also wouldnt read much into their Nismo crash, everyone on the US forums (loads over there and proper track 370z) say that it must have been driver error as the pads go off just as normal as with any other car, the driver should have felt it first. They all agree it must have been pilot error
  16. +1 - start doing them Paul
  17. Definately think we should have good attendance at all shows this year given the number of active members
  18. Shouldnt be mate, the fixings all go in via the front. Its a sod to get them out again though! The fixing that goes into the bumper (that the scew for the mount goes in), is a pesky thing that folds up and once its in, part of it spins around to stop it coming out again. I got one out without breaking it but the other one broke. Plate with Halfords tape will be fine too
  19. Good to see you are making excellent progress chap. I found if you remove the top left hand cover on the rear strub bar, you can fit the GPS mouse in there nicely and run the cable down to the pc in the cubby area. The plastic fits over the top with no real drop in reception. Keeps it all nicely hidden then
  20. Yup, I'm sure Abbey said if you have oil problems the thicker oil was better as not so much could get passed the seals, and its also better for higher temps. 5w vs 10w is just the cold start viscosity (sp?), either will be fine. I think in ye oldy days, 5w pretty much just meant it was synthetic and 10w was more traditional oil?
  21. Yup, looks like you and the car are coming along nicely
  22. Dying battery would be my guess. The Zed is picky about the battery, and even if its reading 12v doesnt mean it will have the juice to crank the big 3.5 lump into life
  23. I think it changed with the updated interior at some point, but older cars only have it on the drivers side. or JDM only, not sure I think it was mainly JDMs and the very last models in the UK. You can tell by the switch, if its auto up/down on both sides, the switches on the drivers side both have an "A" in them I believe
  24. You cant get a legal plate made from vinyl, it wont have the official BS stamp on it. Craigsplates get close, they have vinyl plates that conform to the standards but dont actually have them (ie no BS marking), if that makes sense. I looked into getting them on my car, and for the purpose of not getting stopped they'd be fine, but technically they are not legal, on plastic plates are
  25. Its a John Bean 4 wheel lazer alignment machine Sure Mitz can ellaborate. EDIT: Piccie stolen from Nurrish
