Hmm, are you pulling hardware or anything? Does any USB stuff show up under different IDs each time you restart it? I had a problem on mine when I added some hardware and it changed the ID, but they just reset it and its been good since then. I use iGo8 too, but its a bit clunky and not as swish as Navmii. Also its not officially avaiable for download

Yup is supaguard but with haggling it will be about £150 for the while exterior and interior valet, polish, clean... That said if its possible to achieve the same results in a day doing it myself then might be a better option Highly dependant on who is doing the polishing for you. The Zed has very soft and paint so I wouldnt want anyone other than a trusted pro detailer to go anywhere near it. I've never bought into this supaguard stuff, if it was that good, pro detailers would rave about it. Much better off giving the car a bit more TLC and cleaning/waxing it yourself and maybe get a pro detailer to give it the once over now and again.

Information in the UK always sucks. In US they have the 2010 Sat Nav manual up for download on the Nissan site (albeit I'm not sure if its meant for public viewing), no such thing in the UK. The US forums also have the 2009 Service Manual which is very handly for ripping the car apart, but we never seem to get UK versions

If you are happy with the Toyo's stick with them Rob. The only reason I would step up to more expensive tyres is (a) I have the money to burn or ( not happy with current ones in terms of performance. I know some people say the Toyo tyre wall is a bit soft and MPS are regarded as the best tyre for the car. Personally I wouldnt mix different types of tyres front to rear, even if they are the same brand, they have different tread and will have different compounds I would guess. I'd stick with the Toyos over that

+1 But a few people have run a square setup with no issues also +2 daily driving you wont notice a difference, but on the track you might if you dont keep the tyres staggered. I beleive the base wheels in the States have a non-staggered setup all round, but given the vast majority do, I would keep the staggers with the tyres. RareRims will be able to help with respect to if you can get a true staggered setup in the right offset

The plain G35 isnt for me, but there are some stunning modded ones, look forward to see what you do with it

Guess you wont really know until you get the cable. I am basing my views on what is in the US, I think the cable has a custom connector for the ipod, but I may be wrong. I'll see what I can dig out with respect to it, I have the US sat nav manual somewhere. I fully agree about the 2010 upgrade, I held off ordering mine especially for that. Nissan dealers didnt know anything about it either, it was announced in the roadster launch, I only knew of it by reading forums in the US. To be fair to WLMG in Slough, they did chase NMGB up to ask them the questions about it though and I finally got put in touch with the Nissan product manager for sports cars. EDIT: Done a bit more reading on the US forums, and sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I think your dealer is right, iPod can be connected to the system, but no integration, have to control it via the ipod. In the US they got integration before the 2010 update, but it appears outside of the US/Japan it doesnt work (confirmed by a chap in Oz)

Sure Alex has it covered, but if the clutch isnt slipping, then the flywheel might be shot. The dual mass can judder and click/tick when its shot.

Is the nav touch screen? For £1500 you should have the Connect Premium pack which comes on the MY2010 models which means you get upgraded satnav with touchscreen and full postcode support. This should also mean you can just connect your iPod to the USB socket in the armrest and the satnav screen can control everything. But going by the date of your car, I'm guessing its a MY2009 you have, which I beleive has a funny connector in the armrest and they should have supplied the ipod cable with it, and also should have only cost £1400 extra. But it still controls the iPod AFAIK. If you can, post up a pic of inside the armrest and we can tell for sure

Also be careful of the Alezan leather, its prone to wearing if not looked after carefully. Make sure you inspect it for damage before proceeding and dont take the dealers word for it, I made that mistake

From what I've read, there are more bad reviews than good. Many hidden charges can mean what looks like a bargin, ends up being over the odds.
