  2. Are the Z's the track related pads? Most if not all track related pads will squeal badly on the road because you are simply not getting them hot enough. With DS2500, you need to break them in properly (like proper cooking/smoking hot) to get good transfer of pad material to the disc. This will stop the squealing. However, due to the way that the pads work, this material will wear off over time if you dont get the discs hot periodically. They use 2 ways to stop the car, one is the resin which is transfered to the discs. The other is mechanical, metal filings, in the pads dig into the surface. This will wear off the resin if you do not get the discs and pads hot enough frequently enough and you will get squealing. If you bed them in again, you will get rid of it as you have a coating of the resin on there again. Hope that makes sense
  3. As the others have said, stand your ground and force them for proper tyres at least to OEM spec. We have a few members around your way, hopefully one of them can suggest a compentant garage to have a look at the car. Shouldnt take a good mech long to identify the problem.
  4. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU BURN IN HELL Next person to post that sodding letter is getting a 1 week temp ban - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
  5. Subtle mart... subtle Subtle as a sledgehammer
  6. +1 dont need anything special, just make sure if its a point and shoot it has a macro function
  7. Love the way you can just drop the engine out of it like that, makes engine detailing a doddle
  8. I bought my Nismo off a car with something like 30k miles on, put it on my car and did another 50k. It didnt look or sound any older at the end. What the stuff inside was like I have no idea, but the integrity of the welds and outer material was perfect. Y-pipes do tend to go on them eventually, but thats mainly to do with adding decats (the wrong kind can stress them). They are a quality product. On the 370z though they are a bit quiet. On a 350z they are perfect IMO
  9. +1 - if you want to send over money - use the donate button and it will all be handled by PP

  12. You need to call them to book. I reserved my room today so they have some left
  13. Talked to the guys from Superpro in Birmingham at the NEC at Autosport show. They seemed very knowledgable and the bits looked really good quality.
  14. back
  15. +1 - take this mans advise. I used to try and do it from warm and wait a while, but it takes a looooong time for it all to drain back down. Alex knows more than almost anyone in the UK about this kind of thing and Zeds
  16. Yeah the rust colour will just be in the limescale, it shouldnt be in the paint. Just keep at the soaking and rinsining routine. Dont be tempted to scrub at it, you will just marr the paint. Should all disolve eventually.
  17. -1 nowt wrong with EBC drilled/grooved. I ran a set to over 40k miles before they started to die thru old age theyre really not great on the track, the drilled discs crack very easily ive been hearing The problem is people use them on the track full stop. They are fast street discs, not track discs. The Zed is a heavy powerful car, it needs proper discs on track. I found EBC ok if you are not too heavy on the brakes on track, but any proper abuse and you will knacker them, Ultimax are even easier to warp.
  18. Just face it, we're screwed. Get out there and get the gas guzzler you want now and be happy that one day you can recall owning one. Thats why I got the 370z, and when thats gone, may do what Sarnie is planning and sign up for a year at Supercar club, just so I can have a play in those cars before they are all taxed to death and we all end up whizzing around in leccy cars
  19. BIG +1 - we had great fun watching it last night
  20. Should have kept it a suprise
  21. Good progress as ever
  22. Aye here it is - viewtopic.php?f=33&t=44966
  23. Think it was moved to the GB section.
  24. WD40 is the worst thing to put on them. It will displace the grease. Get a mechanic to have a look and get them to grease it properly if its the drop links. My 350z did the same, you just get used to it
  25. Alex and Lee are definately your best chance. UK dealers are very unlikely to get them in and if they do it will cost an arm and a leg. Maybe hit up the US forum ( www.the370z.com ) or Courtesy Parts.
