aidan. If you google top gear vxr8 2007 you will see clarkson , driving the car i have now. Its a blue one , As for it being thrashed no worries . After they finished with it it went back for a complete overhaul brakes, suspension etc .etc . runs like a dream. I also had the same with my first 370z lemans blue PRESS car. Thats all over the internet 0V09 EYO. as for the bathurst yes top notch ,but a lot of people are getting theirs super charged . Bathurst £28,000_£30,000 standard one £14,000 £17,000 for good ones plus super charger cost , roughly £7,000 .If you put a wortec or walkinshaw exhaust on they remap bringing bhp up to 440. I have the walky on mine on tickover and low revs v8 burble full chat amg sound. please dont think i am knocking the zs as i stated i think there v/good.

As steel lynx says the monaro is smaller and only 2 doors. As for the engine 2007 vxr8s and early 2008 cars are the same engines as 6ltr vxr monaros, but the horsepower was increased from 398hp to 414hp .. late 2008 vxr8s and 2009 cars went from a ls2 to ls3 engines and hp was again increased. The 2 cars are like chalk and cheese, As for which is the better car ? well personally i prefer the vxr8 . it handles better . is faster not by alot but you notice it. Nearly all owners of these cars go for a walkinshaw or wortec exhaust , both of which sound stunning. then move the game on with headers and high flow cats. Near milton keynes there is a firm called MONKFISH, they specialize in these cars there is nothing they do not know. As for parts they have everthing.you would ever need .I enjoyed ever minute i had my ZS but the sound and feel of a v8 muscle car and the rarity of these cars is something else.

I have had one 350 and two 370,s. The last being the 40th aniversary, I also had the looks and the comments, BUT nothing like the attention of the cars i have now. A MONARO VXR and a VXR8 .As for drooling these cars are in a different league the sound and looks of these cars draw more attention than any zed.

Having sold my 370 three weeks ago, for a 6ltr monaro vxr, i now have a petrol lorry follow me around.

had the same prolem with my09. It happened just the once, it lasted for 5 minutes .found it was nothing to do with steering lock senrsor glitch ,according to motorline. Kept the car a further 6 months never happend again. No trouble with my10 have had this one eleven mths

I will hazard a guess that you are getting clutch smell , when you have to work the clutch ie either at junctions or inclines. Ive also have had the same issues with both my 370s, where i live it is very hilly . So i now tend to use the handbrake when i have to stop at junctions with a incline, problem solved.

I might well be ! this is how it came about. In march last year i bought a 57 350 midnightblue after my supercharged fn2 type r civic, unfortunately got set alight .I kept that for 6 weeks my wife however found it difficult to drive. The reason being accellerator pedal not being floor mounted , and a high cluth pedal. Found the 370 way easier,kept the car for 8 months but was always keeping a eye out ,for the right deal on the black. Since 2006 i have had a st3 focus 2typR civics plus the 3 zeds.But i am keeping this for a very long time. I am 61 years old but i am not ready for a micra!!! jlp.

[newcar] sold my 370 lemans blue on the 15 jan. But i havent departed from the zeds , i sold it to beadles at their eltham branch . I then bought the black edition of them ,the managers car . Made up with the premium sat nav number 10 in black.jlp

key issue update. Have spoken to motorline tun/wells , and nissan uk have not heard of any key clutch or gear problems with the 370. they think the key symbol in the dash was a glitch , they have asked me to keep the key in the portal while driving the car. In the hope that if there are any electrical problems the computer will reset them. I havent done this yet as of last post havent had ang problems.Think it may just be gremlins .

key issue. sold my 350 in may and bought a 370 in lemans blue . Everything was great until the morning of my holiday .at 5am my wife and i got into the car started it up could not engage gear.turned engine off gears engaged, this went on for ten minutes my wife got out of the car , with her keys in her handbag and walked 15 mtrs away. i started up the car and gears engaged, drove to the airport with key symbol showing on the dashboard. on return kept wifes key in suitcase everything fine. decided to use only my key for the last 4 days . This morning used the wifes key everything ok! am going to the dealer . will update
