  3. THIS WEEKEND Come on peeps, this weekend will be one of the best of the year as far as weather is concerned. Don’t sit on your bums watching the telly, GET OFF TO ZED – FEST. Have a great time socialiZing with friendZ,, listen to DJZ’s rocking disco. Join in the ZOlympics on Saturday or try your hand at Dirt Buggy Driving on Sunday. Saturday night is optional fancy dress if that’s what grabs you with a prize for the best dressed. 4. It sounds like your wife has something similar to my friends wife who has suffered severe back problems for ages. They have a Hyundai I-30 which suits her very well except that it has very low profile tyres which give a harsh ride. Theirs is the top spec model with all the gizmos on it. He seems to think lower spec may have different tyres. They also have a honda CRV which she finds even more comfortable although a little high. She is able to drive both vehicles without too much discomfort. HTH
  5. ThankZ Jell36, volunteers are always welcome. I'll be there from around midday Friday.
  6. I think the dirt buggies will be a great morning. The event starts Friday, come whenever you can we have the whole site so just drive in, you'll find us easily.
  7. Rubbish! Get back to basics. The Proper Z cars are in line straight six. These V6 thingys are only toys. The way forward is smaller engine, smaller body and sensible pricing.
  8. my son is willing to collect with a trailer having today returned from Germany where he had to abandon his car with a blown engine.
  9. Zed –Fest 2012. 10,11,12 August. Hot and cold food and drinks will be provided as usual by Mr Stickyfingers and his staff. Remember he will stay as late as you like providing you keep spending. Musical entertainment throughout the event will as usual be down to our own DJZ Team sports will be held on Saturday afternoon. You can make up teams of 4 persons to take part in any diabolical sports we can think of . (suggestions are always welcome). I am hoping to run a field gun competition similar to that seen at the royal tournament. Remember your cars will be on show throughout the event and final judging will be at mid day Sunday followed by the awarding of trophies. Sunday morning is an opportunity to visit Nottingham Dirt Buggies from 9am – 11.30am (breakfast can be obtained there if you’re late rising). A 20 minute thrash around their 9 acre track will set you back £30. Wet weather gear and helmets supplied if needed. I am assured that 20 mins is long enough due to the severity of the track. (This is only about 4 miles from Sherbrooke) you may want to take a change of clothes just in case. We have a 20% discount on normal price as it’s early Sunday. Saturday night is optional fancy dress. A prize for the best dressed. If you are bringing your children the pedal go carts will be available to them throughout the weekend. An ‘ Honesty Bar’ will be available which will probably consist of tins of Boddingtons and tins of Stella which will be kept in the fridge. Prices will be as shop plus a little for the club.

  11. Back safely from The LakeZ Meet, a superb venue chosen by Martinmac, Once again blessed with indifferent weather (how did so many of us get sunburned?) Not such a high attendance as last year but it was good to meet up with friends old and new and see a few more 240/60's back on the road. The Heaves Hotel is a great venue and a good place to stay. Comfortable accomodation and the food was superb. A bit of jiggling with the bookings prevented Steve Burns and Paul Wrangle from sharing a double four poster bed but Burnsie still woke up as the hotel ghost strolled past his bed in the early hours! Well done Martin. Same again next year Now peeps, don't miss another great event, get your names down for Zed - Fest in August.
