  5. ZED – FEST 12 Once again I am pleased to announce that the above event will be held at Sherbrooke Scout Camp, Mansfield Lane, Calverton, Notts. NG14 6HP on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10,11 & 12 August 2012. Please note that the date has been brought further forward to avoid the clash with JAE. For those of you who are new to Sherbrooke there are 22 acres of grassland plus a five acre wood.. There is one clean but basic toilet block with loos, wash basins and showers. There is a modern barn and social centre with outside patio area and picnic benches. Oil drum BBQ’s are freely available. We will have excellent catering on site. All main meals plus snacks will be available at reasonable cost between 8am and 10pm. There will not be a bar this year. You are encouraged to provide your own drinks (we do request that you try to avoid glass bottles). We will hold an inter club sports competition with some “easy†motoring related sports. Your cars will be on show for the whole event and judging will be held on Sunday lunchtime followed by prizegiving. Fancy dress on Saturday night is optional. Background music for the entire event will be provided by our very own DJZ complete with lazer and smoke show. There will be dancing on Friday and Saturday nights together with a live band on Saturday night. There will be an entry fee charged of £15 per person for the event. You can pay at the gate. Camping will be £2.50 per person per night. Caravans & mobile homes admitted at extra charge ( hook-ups are now available). Small children and pets free. Local hotels and B&B’s are available but you are requested to make your own arrangements. Please be aware that the main paddock where you will park up and pitch your tents will be a ‘quiet area’ All gazebos etc for evening gatherings should be set up in the central paddock to avoid undue noise and disturbance. TRADERS; All club traders are invited to attend. You can set up your own display, big or small for a donation of £20 for the whole event. Come and meet your customers in a friendly convivial atmosphere. It’s good to see the voice on the phone or the finger on the keyboard. If you don’t want to set up a display a gazebo and a banner will suffice just come along and show your customers who you are. Free car booting for non traders to get rid of those useful parts you no longer need. Once again I will need the help of volunteers to assist with the smooth running. It is always good to see new faces helping out. There is still much to plan and new ideas are always welcome. Please mark these dates on your calendar, this will be a weekend to remember. Further information will be circulated as it becomes available. All enquiries to me, “Arkwright†email: shop@zclub.net

    Egged!!

as I understand it the object of egging a car is to burst it on the windscreen. You then operate your wipers to try to remove the resulting crap but the mixture of egg and water smears white thus preventing you from seeing where you're going - an object of some hilarity to the eggers but with more dire consequences to the egged.
  7. I'm glad they are taking on 350z's. Been top notch for 300's for many years. Hopefully they will be at Zed Fest 2012 dispensing wisdom. they really are good.
  8. After the first few seconds I thought what a load of crap and was going to switch it off. But I couldn't!
  9. no it wasn't him. He's got his 300 back running now and my roadstar has been put to bed for the winter..
  10. I should like to share an experience with you all, to do with drinking and driving. As you know some of us have had brushes with the authorities on our way home in recent months. Well I for one have done something about it. The other night I was out for a dinner and a few drinks with some friends. Well, after having far too much, and knowing full well I was wasted, I did something I have never done before. I took a bus home. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise, as I had never driven a bus before.
  11. results list not working. Nice set of pics of a good selection of Z's
  12. Bronzee I hope you mean his car!
  13. Ayup Nipper, that's another hiding place discovered. Thanks for the reminder Neilp
  14. snap up the £250 one. With a guarantee and no ? labour costs it's got to be worth a go. You can always take the original box to a gear specialist and ask for an estimate even if the replacement is a knacker you'll still be on the road til yours is fixed.
  15. are you stationed at Walsall? I'll be at the Walsall PS open day tomorrow with my preserved Mondeo traffic car if you're about.
  16. A bloke goes to his doctor complaining that his asshole is making strange noises. The doctor listens and sure enough the blokes asshole is singing 'waltsing matilda' 'Oh it's nothing to worry about' says the doctor, 'the rugby world cup has just started and you'll find a lot of assholes singing that song.'
  17. what about the new Vauxhall advert on the commercial channels. Plenty of waving of the flag of St George 'We are not supporting a team we're supporting a nation' Bloody magic! About time someone said it out loud. I wonder how long it will take the PC mob to get it removed?
  18. just use a roadster with the boot up. You should be able to squeeze a couple of pies in if you pack them carefully.
  19. why not join in the Z club drag race challenge. Full details on that site and instruction and advice freely available.
  20. I will be there about 10am. It won't pee down and it's well drained ground anyway so should be no problems
  21. 9am will be fine. Before that it's at your own risk
