  1. The salesman definitely saw them coming! However, Nixy'x right - it's not worth falling out over.
  2. I can see that being a killer, I'd definitely be in the UK club if that's the case when it comes time to buy. I've just had my renewal notice from Admiral - £276 fully comp, legal cover etc. etc. JDM seems to be no problem for them now. But how old are you? That was a low blow. But completely relevant as it explains why yours is so low No argument there. But my main point is that, in my experience, getting insurance for a JDM has neither been difficult nor relatively expensive. In other words I wouldn't let that put me off buying a JDM.

  4. Chris at JDMPerformance does the CF ones at £70 per pair, and I'm sure Big Phil would be able to quote for them too. The alternative is to try the US eBay sites - they were doing them for around £35 the pair plus shipping.
  5. I know bud. Before you wax, after claying you should polish and put sealant on. Claying pulls deposits out of the paintwork and the 'gaps' need protecting ie sealing up again. The only thing to add after wax is a glaze, which would last for just a few hours in reality! But looks when it goes on. Wash - clay - polish - sealant - wax - glaze. Sorry to bump an old thread, but I was about to order Megs glaze as recommended here, and I noticed that in one of the websites it suggested that this product should be applied before waxing, not after it. As I have several layers of P21S already on, I wonder if this glaze product will be of any benefit at all if I apply it now.

Nice car. Like the wheels, (not the wing).

  8. Thought some of you might find this mildly amusing. HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHOM TO MARRY? (Written by kids) You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming. -- Alan, age 10 No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with. -- Kristen, age 10 WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED? Twenty-three is the best age, because you know the person FOREVER by then. -- Camille, age 10 HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED? You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids. -- Derrick, age 8 WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON? Both don't want any more kids. -- Lori, age 8 WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE? Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough. -- Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure) On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date. -- Martin, age 10 WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR? I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns. -- Craig, age 9 WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE? When they're rich. -- Pam, age 7 The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that. -- Curt, age 7 The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do. -- Howard, age 8 IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED? It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them. -- Anita, age 9 (bless you child) HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED? There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there? -- Kelvin, age 8 And the #1 Favourite is........HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK? Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck hit her. -- Ricky, age 10
  9. Plenty of members on here who have JDM imports and are very happy with them. Just be careful where you source them. Oh and
  10. 1. Square rear number plate recess unless the bumper has been replaced. 2. And, as you say, possibly a square front number plate. 3. No headlamp washers. 4. 17" wheels and non Brembo disk brakes.

    New tyres for Z

General opinion seems to be in favour of Toyos or Falkens at the cheaper end, and MPS if you want to spend a bit more. I've used Black Circles and E-Tyres online service before, and both have been fine. In both cases, I was able to nominate a local fitter to which I took the car at an agreed time for fitting that suited me best. They also do a home fitting service though I've not tried that yet. The extra cost for fitting still left me with a considerable savings over typical high street prices.
  12. Oops, should have looked more closely. I've ordered one now too. Thanks for the link
  13. Trevor, and enjoy this site. They're a friendly and helpful bunch. Have a search on here and you will find plenty of chat about this. It's a known problem - most advise to get shot of the Bose unit and fit an aftermarket one.

I haven't looked at all of the clips posted, so apologies if I have missed it, but I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Allman Brothers Band: Jessica. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WfM6nRVBvGs or this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kRwY6SawSqE
  15. and enjoy the Z. Like you, I came to the Z from a Prelude, and it is a quite different prospect to drive. Unlike you, I suspect, I am old enough to have driven lots of rear wheel drive cars, though none came anywhere near the Z.
  16. Followed you over there Jay and joined as well. Responded to your post too. Might have some fun with this Let the fun begin... I think every member on here should join and just talk about 350z lol, take over the entire site And they might retaliate. OK if one or two of you have a bit of fun at their expense, but it could get out of hand if a lot went on. Not destined to gaining a good reputation for this site and its members, is it? Party Pooper And I'm not even a moderator. Somebody needs to keep you youngsters iin line
