  1. Yep, the omens are not good and I don't envy the pit crews at all - the pressure on them is even more critical so places on track are not lost.
  2. Make sure that includes the locking nuts - replacement wheel costs are very
  3. Think I'll change the title of this thread to posers meet Only jealous - but chuck Beavis off the the list he has already had his free pro photoshoot
  4. I telll you what, I see far more Smith and Byford vans about than 350's/370's - and their all late for their next job
  5. Certainly not an uprev (MY06) and looking at the offside damage and buckled rear rear (not mentioned on the ad) I would suggest that a full check underneath is done as I suspect there is more damage hiding there Be very wary
  6. Yeah - as noted under the pic - if Nissan can supply it there why not here? When you look at what is available over there for 370's, compared to so little on offer over here from either Nissan or after-market suppliers, it is frustrating.
  7. Not surprisingly Nissan UK were unable to suply any Storm White touch-up paint for the inevtiable stone chips. That available on the net seemed to be silly prices and frankly for small chips the 3-stage stuff seems over the top. Having saw the mud guards on Motorsport Auto, noticed they also did a touch-up paint that has a roller ball tip with a separate brush - just $6.90. Although it does not include the lacquer the test looks very good so a an extra fiver or so seems money well spent. Will be visiting the local Nissan dealer with the touch-up, after the parts guy insisted Nissan do not supply it - but they certainly do across the pond
  8. Just arrived today from Motorsport Auto (excellent service) - saved about £100 compared to Nissan prices here which sound cheap at first but they are come unpainted, unlike in the States. Colour and pearlescent finish looks good. Decided on these having looked at the 370's flanks and the way the rear bumper extends under and behind the rear wheels - far more so than with the 350's. And hopefully it will mean those following are not peppered as much Wheels off and a jacked up job to fit (a few holes to be drilled) so pics to come when done.
  9. So much will depend on which car is best suited for the new Regs - Brawn stole it last year so it will be interesting to see which team leads off this year. Don't write Jenson off too soon - he is the one that will make the tyres last, given no fuel stops will frustrate tyre changes for those like Lewis who tend to kill their tyres. Whilst I would agree Lewis may be a better 'racer' but that natural instinct may be his undoing, if he has shot his tyres too early in the race. But then I alawys like to see an 'underdog' win through and Jenson was written off by many on here last year but he got the crown........
  10. Stalking again Colin, still makes a change from kerb crawling in Epsom High Street
  11. Could do with you notifying the hotel that you are part of our group Will help with taking up our allocation. I got it covered Dave
  12. I would agree and if you say you can visually see the inside of one rear tyre is worn that combination could well be why you are getting the TC issues. Of course the fact you burnt off a few millimetres of rubber in those drag starts of yours would be immaterial
  13. Welcome to the forum The reason why we have ZEDs is that they are unquestionably one of the best drivers cars for the money. Don't worry about mpg, expecially if you are not doing high mileage - the whole point of owning one is the factor each you get in and drive it. If you enjoy spirited driving you will not be disappointed and for £12k there are some good examples out there and some of the best will be from members on here who have a real passion for their motors and take that extra care in looking after them
  14. I might drive one, but have yet to see another on the road - it was the same with the 350's as rarely did I see one of them but then when you get to the meets and see some fabulous looking examples it's nice to know others have got good taste too

  19. Hi and welcome to the forum Greekman on here is in your part of the world with a Night Blue roadster. Probably holds the record for tyre and brake wear as he loves to track his ZED, well once he fell off it (at Brands) but I'll let him explain that

    Which oil?

..and let us know what Opie say, please
  21. Correct! - I do have a wheel brace though It's the curent 'fashion' with many new cars not having a spare wheel, whether that is weight, money saving or a bit of both, its not my preference. For my peace of mind I have a spacesaver now as anything other than a basic puncture will not not be sorted by tyre weld and a pump. And as I like to get out on roads that are often remote and often outside mobile signal range I would rather have the weight 'penalty' than wait god knows how long for a tow truck.

    Admiral hassle!

Long day chap? Go play with your foam lance Colin - did you do a requote on Admiral or just get the renewal through? Renewals from them suck, I always do a requote and it comes back down again. Last time I called them to moan, got a very nice South African man (dont worry he wasnt dodgy!) who cut it even futher as a "sorry". Will be giving CK a go this time though. I did the comparison bit and Bell (part of Admiral) came beak with fairly competitive numbers but having previously got some figures from CK and for me, the ability to talk through the details with a known and trusted broker who has helped many members on here, made my decision that more easier. Frankly I get peed off that loyalty no longer counts these days in so many walks of life and you have to waste time scratching around to get sensible deals. So I usually don't bother trying to haggle with companies that don't bother to be competitive from the off, and move on.....
  23. Result! - thread locked
  24. Cheers Mike - thanks for the call Hope the hangover is not too bad
