  1. Lexus. IMO Honda's aren't bad either.
  2. Not quite. Actually harder, as the Red Stuff pads are ceramic. For example if you put yellow stuff in (track pads effectively) then initial bite off the driveway would be rubbish. As the material needs to heat up to get to it's grippy best. It would be the other way round if you took Green Sruff round a track as they would be operating at a heat beyond their optimum and so would create excessive dust and probably crack. Equally, the discs need to match the pads. Yellow Stuff for example would probably munch their way through standard discs as they'd be at their grippiest at a temperature higher than the ideal of the disc. So wearing it quicker. With the weight of the Zed, operating temperature levels and and performance of the car, Red Stuff seems to work quite well. EDIT: where references to 'grip' are made, the purists might want to see 'abbrasive' or something along those lines!
  3. As far as I understand it, Green Stuff's optimum temperature is lower than that of Red Stuff, but then with heavier braking (esp given the weight of the Zed) the temperature may run higher than that point so Red Stuff is more effective. This may help - http://www.brakes4u.co.uk/brake-doctor.asp
  4. I'd recommend Brakes4u on this site, look in the traders section and they'll also give you a discount. I've got EBC Red Stuff on the rear of mine and am very impressed with them, so you may want to try them. As for changing them, I've posted a small guide for the rears, not hard with some basic tools and about an hour I'd say. Fronts shouldn't add too much more to it than another half hour. With the GT you do benefit from sensible Brembo design so it's not hard to change them.
  5. To hair and Dad's! Am sure you'll pass that on too mate.
  6. The CD skipping is where the laser isn't good enough to get through the condensation on the discs Jane. If you eject them and give them a wipe, it helps. Otherwise, ask for a new headunit.
  7. The ruck goes on.... I thought I had the number in my phone (and on Friends and Family) but I can't find it. Not on Yell or Nissan's website that I can see. Anyone know the main Customer Services no.?
  8. So who have we got left? Who's going from Berkshire way for a meet up on the way?
  9. My side effect, is 'polishanythinunderbonnetitis'. A right pain......!
  10. haha, you are a PA! You haven't seen any pictures of me yet!! It's appraisals actually......
  11. I'll have you know I'm working away and arranging meetings for them!!
  12. So you have man flu? And I don't want the one's that do the hard work using the same excuse!!
  13. And I'm sat at home, trying not to give the rest of my guys this damn cold.
  14. From a member of the Playstation Generation. I will have one of these, when I can justify the stupid insurance......
  15. Surely if its a nissan warranty you can use it at any nissan dealer irrespective of the network? I'm asking the question based on a tip from one of the guys that works at my dealer. If the warranty is provided by ABC Ltd (for example) then Nissan GB won't recognise it. So, if the dealer shuts up shop (as happens a lot at the moment, or gets taken over) you may not have a warranty....
  16. Does your dealer warranty limit you to using that dealer network?
  17. Xerox car park, visitor, with a number plate that would indicate there is a level of engine assistance! Black, import I think, Veilside (me thinks) rear bumper.
  18. I'll give mine a go and we can compare!!
  19. If I have enough notcie I can try and work it that I work from the Meriden office and stay over up your way. So just let me know when you're thinking of doing it.
  20. Take a look in the warranty section (or do a search) and use that as a checklist for things to look out for. If any are present, I'd suggest that you get them to do the work before you collect it, otherwise the loss of the sound you will no doubt fall in love with will be upsetting!! As for the drive, if you've had an S2000 then the rear drive will be nothing new, just expect a fair bit more grip (especially in the wet! ) and of course 3 billion times more torque. Other than the warranty points, there's nothing to really worry about, just enjoy it!
  21. Just let me know when is best for most Val, and if there's enough notice I'll try and arrange the visit.
