  1. Yep, I had this, it's the syncro between 4th and 6th. There's a bulletin out for it, and depending on what Nissan GB have more available stocks of, it's replacement components (my fix) or new 'box (the Minel's fix IIRC). Have to say they did it well and it's now the best change in the box!

    Humf!

About 14000 on an average day at my place and mine's the only Z. Anyone top that? Where do you work?????

    Humf!

Where do you and Sylvester work for that many people on one site?! Mate of mine works at Centrica and two of the directors park their matching Ferrari's next to each other right outside each day.....!!
  4. PM'd too - at this rate 2nd hand parts will be going for more than new!!
  5. Useful information as I'm about to embark on this.....

    Humf!

That is a lot - we have about 600 people working on site here and there's only one Zed.....!!
  7. How on earth is an R32 or an A3 on the list for a family car?! You'll break your back getting kids in and out of the back, and 5 door versions of the above cars are simply wrong IMO!! Any other ideas??
  8. You guys find EVO alright? I buy it once a year to get the new superlatives on anything German or an Evo VXIIIIIII - just get fed up with EVERY car being compared to a 911 or M5.....
  9. I like it. It's not supposed to look like a standard Zed, hence the kit. Not sure how big the spoiler is but think it will take some of the 'weight' (visually) off the bottom half of the car and finish it off. For me it's a 'Fast and the Furious' effort which I have a lot of respect for. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I quite like it. Changes for me would be wider rear wheels as they look a bit lost, and fully adjustable suspension to allow it to be properly dropped, purely for aesthetic reasons. Top marks for going the whole hog on the spraying. Any chance of an indication what the colours actually are and the cost?? PM me if needs be.
  10. Surely you don't want to see the Volvo!! Maybe, maybe not......!!
  11. And now I've got to wait for Mark from the dealer to RE-SUBMIT (why twice???? ) the warranty claim for it to be passed back to Nissan GB. By my count, that's third time over the net, the score is 15 all and the rally for the third point will be underway soon.......
  12. OK, this is going to be harder than I thought. Message from James at Nissan who informs me that I should now be talking to the dealer, despite the dealer passing me to them!! Here we go.....
  13. only problem is the Zed is a £15 K car, if you look what they sell for in the US , Japan etc... it's ony us silly buggers in the Uk spending £30k on them new And probably a 911 Turbo a £50k car and a Veyron half what we pay etc...... Shouldn't change the car build quality or where you position it in the market...

    Winter Cars!

i agree , i love my car , because of how i feel when i drive it , so when its sat on the drive over christmas- i couldnt care less , cant wait to see a layer of snow all over it, now that will be a fun day every car suffers from wear and tear -deal with it , enjoy it FFS , its not like were cruising around in ferrari's Which is all well and good for you. Who said anything about wear and tear etc? I drive 30 miles each way to work and this morning went through 3 multiple car pile ups, didn't get much above 40mph and the car is now brown. If I don't have to, why would I pump a heavy clutch and risk a car I love? BTW, I love the fact it's designed for every day use! The 348 I was looking at wouldn't be able to be!! The second the weekend is here it's all that gets used and as Captint says, it's not the easiest time to make full use of the car!! One man's Rover is another man's Ferrari....... Same reason the Elise won't be used much now. And the Zed will be a show car, when I've designed an install.........
  15. And why would you say that Stevie?? Because thats the only reason I could think of that you wouldn't turn up for the SE-MAFIA drive! What other reason could there be? He he! Maybe he doesn't have a zed? Eh?! There are several that can vouch for it!
  16. No rings, no cleaning materials, just leather wearing due to poor fitment. I understand your point and it is valid. However, having had a fair few cars with leather, this is the first I've ever had with wear like this. And my current Volvo is nearly 12 years old. That cost about £16k new, the Zed cost nearer £30k, so it's not good enough. As for the alloys, they are designed to roll along the road and take the salt, bumps and turns needed for the product. They are corroding so I feel I should be put in the position that I don't have a cosmetic upgrade looking poor, and wheels that do not stand up to our weather. Maybe the KIA approach would help other manufacturers, and actually look after their existing customers. GM and co losing money is more through poor design and crap cars than helping the poor victims that did take the plunge.....
  17. Do you get the magazine?? Blame James May for that!!
  18. Yeah, but what about if my insurance company can't prove he did it? If that were to happen and I'd already done the body work, I wouldn't have the option of getting it done privately. True, unless you managed the costs with the insurance company and you accept the repair work so you were 'happy' to pay them should it not be proven. Just an option.
  19. Fair enough. A relative has an S and it's nice. But that's it, nothing more IMO. Quick of course. Main gripe is the leather - how do the Germans find cows that hard?!?!
  20. I wouldn't be quite so cross about it if it was a genuine accident, however, the guy that saw it said "i was on the phone and heard I huge bang, so I looked out the window to see what had happened and your car was rocking with another car attached to the side of it. The driver must have then realised what he'd done because he wound his window down to have a look then sped off" The police have done nothing to date, but the witness has said he will make a statement to both the police and my insurance company. I'm holding off getting the body work done at the minute because if (for whatever reason) he gets away with it (lets be fair the legal system is screwed) and that would be the end of my NCD. Any one any idea how much this would cost out of my own pocket if he does get away with it? Am no expert, but I thought as long as the insurance company were fully reimbursed for any costs incurred you kept your no claims?
  21. why discuss about a luxury SUV, its just a retarded concept I need something to do the shopping in/ Barge people in little cars off the road I was following a Cayenne Turbo a few nights ago although not for long. That thing was rapid & the sound was awesome Audi RS6 Avant? Mercedes C32 AMG Estate?
