  1. Will get some pics up of mine when the weather is right, so we can compare to the one above. I reckon adding one of these other oily type products could be the difference.

And how much are they? This Stillen one sounds interesting.
  3. My first year not competing in the IASCA competition for a while. And the car is currently (aesthetically) unmodded. Are you doing a car club stand Val?
  4. If it can be arranged when I'm staying in Meriden for work then yes!
  5. LMAO!! Thatmust be the quietest Zed cabin in the country!!
  6. Great, will try some of those products. Am wondering what extra I can get out of this paint work. The Volvo seemed to give quite easily, and that was never clayed or had any of these oils in you refer to. My Zed is Gunmetal and have to say although all is 'clean and shiny', it doesn't look as impressive as I'd hoped.....
  7. IIRC it just depends whether George W classifies that as 'moral terpitude' from the Green Card!!
  8. Always helps on a nice day with the car I find!! Not driving before anyone says it!!
  9. Hi mate, just catching up. I haven't got this far, but I know The Sound Gallery have done one. Could try giving them a call and see if they can advise??
  10. Thing is there's so many products that it's difficult to know what combination to go for. At least those in the business can provide pointers and then I can gain my own opinion. So far I've been using Auto Glym stuff (with a Meguiars clay) and have always been very happy with the results. But then I see that I'm missing some of these paint cleaning products so can maybe get the finish even better. I thought this wasn't bad, got the odd trophy but to your eye's there may be improvements? In search of perfection!! Obviously I don't expect you to give away any trade secrets!!
  11. Tops! Thanks a lot for your help. EDIT: Looking at that link for the glazes, I assume you'd use all three products in order, with the hand glaze being the one that really adds the wet look?
  12. Front bumper - Kaminari Poly Urethane (can't recommend PU enough - Fibreglass is far too brittle up front) Sides - Ings +1 Rear - Speedracing (ask Val!) Wing - Spoiler Depot And what sorts of places can get these in the UK? Any search on the web comes back with mainly forum chat!!
  13. What sort of product is the pure glaze? Any recommendations? It gets more interesting.....!!
  14. Have to say all those cars look lovely. Not one I'd really say I wouldn't have to look at. Any of you seen Clarkson's latest DVD 'The Good The Bad The Ugly'?? He takes one of these new Mustangs around an oval. And he also gets a guy to ride a horse around the outside of the same track. To see who wins, the result and the margin of victory for the 1 bhp machine was hilarious!! The handling of the car was awful!! But it does look good....
  15. I haven't tried it yet, but I would suggest a role of Dynamat Xtreme would go a long way to helping. It does two things. Reduces noise in, and also makes for a firmer foundation for the speakers to produce their best sound (when used in doors for example). The trick in reducing road noise, is trying to locate the loudest sources and covering those. Note, do not use on exhausts!!
  16. Great report mate. In line with the other questions, what's the front bumper and skirts??
  17. I had a 4 wheel alignment done on mine just after getting it and that sorted a lot of it for me. Also stopped the feathering.
  18. Out of all the products, I'd use Dynamat Xtreme. Better deadening, lighter than standard Dynamat, and dead easy to use. As for how much it sound deadens, I didn't have the hand held SPL meter before the work, but my old show car was HUGELY quieter than the standard car I had parked next to it for daily driving. One little thing, what's with remarks about someone wanting to put some audio in THEIR car??
  19. Looks like I should save the £100 then!
  20. Nice to know. What is the multi stage paint correction? What sort of product? ie if clay does a level of clean what are you using for this sort of work?
  21. So 3 'not great' and 2 'ok'. Ask it another way, is it worth £100 if you don't have it?
  22. Ming or other law enforcement peeps maybe?

You may well get more than one offer mate!
  24. Is there a summary of what the different levels are?
