  1. Not too far past Goodwood though, unless you've had one of those new Vortech Amphibious conversions done.
  2. Names so far: sl114 choptop Sarnie (aka spamalot) Andy Mugwump (so he can buy Sarnie a pint) JohnK stevie_350z H5 I agree, keep 10th separate and do this in the New Year. As for other routes, I think it was Evo that used to print drives in the centre pages at some point..??
  3. That's why I'm thinking we could meet somewhere mid way between town and Reading, possibly nearer the M3 or something. Those that want to meet in Reading could do and then move as a smaller group to another meeting point for the rest of us? Thats a better idea personally as i really want to come, but a bit broke for the rest of the month with shopping to do and need to get a tree and decorations. I love the idea of meeting in fairmile and then going on from there somewhere, maybe a blast down the A3 towards portsmouth or something? and on the way go through guildford, show off a bit and then on the way down go via small villages and towns to give them some blatt! I'm sure Tesco do a tree for £2.47 or something!! I'd still like to continue it down to Goodwood, get them all lined up outside and get that shot of the crest in the background! But meeting up just north of Guildford near the M3 could be OK? There's a Hilton and Sainsbury's a little way from junction 3 (I think!) of the M3.
  4. Should be fine Stevie, the alignment is not touched when taking a wheel off and the wheels should be balanced. As for cleaning then, you should be able to get your hand through the spokes to clean the insides of them, and just shift the car a half roll for the caliper bit. Wheels off for the arches........!!

  6. Depends how much you're paying for fuel too.......! But £80 is pushing it, can get £70 at a push at old prices, now it is closer to £60.
  7. Also depends how much air con useage etc, but I also get 300 - 350 generally, on a long run above 350.
  8. Surely the car would still register what the distance covered was and the fuse is simply for the display of that number? ie if you took the fuse out, drove 20 miles and put it back in it would be 20 miles greater??
  9. Route proposed for Goodwood is as follows: - Farnham then via Frensham Churt Hindhead Haslemere Midhurst Fernhurst to Goodwood. On the return I would suggest back via A285 through Petworth and Northchapel and Chiddingfold then work out a route back to Reading. That all depends on meeting somewhere near Reading but we could always meet somewhere more central to everybody (train station, pub etc) that anyone may know of in order to start the beginning of the drive.
  10. Lots being sorted out at the moment Tim, so watch this space over the next few weeks for some developments, after all it's Xmas and that means presents....... Just need to find a polisher that sells gift vouchers..........!!
  11. All the TVR guys were off at this Thunder thing over the weekend so should get the route through soon.
  12. Guess who's back......! Right, I'll try and sort the route, have asked the guys who sorted my last trip for the route plan. BTW Stevie, I've had my Toyos a week and they do make a difference. Much much better driving all round IMO. More useful for cornering without a doubt.......

    CF Rear Strut Cover

Easy, my rear tyre that I had removed at the weekend, doesn't fit in the boot, had to lift it over the strut brace. How else would you get a golf bag in there too........??
  14. Welcome mate, enjoy the forum, ask away!
  15. Nice Ming, very personal!
  16. If I was taking my family out and about and I could afford it, I'd go Volvo V70 T5 (or D5) or a Merc AMG / big diesel. All the little bits that make driving a pleasureable experience plus safe in the knowledge you're safe. I agree on the mileage front, that's why that C32 seemed like a bargain! Under £20k for that, I'd have it if I needed one! Are you getting close to a short list yet??
  17. It's my birthday on the 10th so will have to confirm nearer the time. Will be recovering from the 9th I'm sure.......! What's the plan for the day then?
  18. Only thing with the Leon is a front wheel drive car with a turbo'd lump tends to give a very acquired driving experience, and if you like the Zed might be a bit....... unbalanced?! Another one into the mix - there's a 2002 Merc C32 AMG Estate with 26k on the clock for £19,995 at the mo........ That's a whole load of car for the money!! EDIT: Just read the description of it in full, it's even got a BOSE sound system in it!! lol
  19. Is the reception as good as they say, any difference??
  20. Don't be rash dear boy!! Go in and put your point across that the demo / stock / friend's / other car doesn't do it and the repair work to date hasn't fixed it. Find their Zed technician and ask him face to face (they are allowed out of the workshop so don't take that from them) if it should do it. If you have him on side, the service manager has little else to do except put the claim in to Nissan.
  21. I'd ask to take their demo / forecourt car out with their service manager and see if it does it. Then take yours out and the difference should be plain to see based on what you say. Then kindly remind them they now need to fix it......

    CARGO NETS FOR SALE

Whether Tim is buying them at £5 and selling them for £20 or not, people make their decision when they buy something. It's called business and happens on a daily basis all over the world and doesn't result in people making personal accusations. Having dealt with Tim on a number of things I don't believe he's got any intent on ripping anyone off, and he contributes a hell of a lot on here. NISMO, if you have a gripe like that I don't see why you'd make such a statement publicly. Most people would ask the question directly to the person involved. I happen to have one of these nets and it fits. Very well thank you. And it only cost me £19. Whereas Nissan want how much.......?? Who are the 'scumbags' as you so eloquently put it? If there are other options then I'm sure Tim doesn't mind people looking around - eBay is public as are all other markets. You pays your money and you normally get what you pay for..... Apology needed me thinks.....
  23. Valid point, just given original Nismo bumpers are pretty rare, impatience might mean I need to go ahead! But would be putting it in the bin if it ended up looking even slightly after market or stuck on.

    Fantastic RS4 chase

Blimey, that's nuts!! And that blue one is fookin rapid!
  25. All looks great Val! Although that bumper is the wrong colour, you need to pass it in this direction......!! BTW, are these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350z-Nismo ... dZViewItem - or any other after market item any good??
