Yeah, mine was them threatening to cancel mine, for no reason at all. Threatened me with police and legal action and then sent the most grovelling letter you've ever seen. I've also referred them to the Financial Ombudsman twice - and won.

Just PRAY you never have to deal with any type of claim or anything with them!! All three of ours are and I will never touch them again, even if it means paying twice as much elsewhere!
  10. This prejudice against Beemers is just as irrational as some peoples prejudice against Nissans which stops them buying the Zed. Just my opinion. I would sum it up as they make good (even the odd great) cars but once normal people get behind the wheel they turn into a-holes. And it gets rammed down your throat how exclusive they are when they're the most common company car going. IMO anyway.... How many have you owned then and what were they? I've never owned one Kev and wouldn't at the mo. Where have I indicated I've owned one?? Driven many, lots of tests. Like I say, I'm happy to accept people's opinions that they make some very good cars, certain M cars etc. However, the experience of drivers on the road is how I find it, and many others. No attack at you at all. I would have agreed with your initial comments if you had written "once some normal people get behind the wheel". Beemers are ten a penny, the 3 series sells better than the Mondeo. I see literally hundreds on any long drive and whilst some are badly driven the vast majority aren't. Are you really saying that all BM drivers are ass-holes? Do you judge all Muslims by the idiots who bomb innocent people - I'm guessing but I'm sure you don't. Stereotyping is unsafe in any context. IMHO of course. Of course it's not a blanket statement that every individual in a BM is an a-hole - I'm saying I know plenty of nice enough, courteous people that turn into g!ts on the road when in their BM. Of course, there are plenty of good drivers out there. But you can be sure that if you're driving along in an overtaking lane on the motorway and there's no space for another car in front of you, that doesn't apply to an indicator free BM driver. Not all of them at all. Often it's the decent ones driven well, M3 drivers (whichever one is new at the time) tend to be fine. But like you say, they are ten a penny and the most common ones have normally lost at least 2 cylinders from where the mustard is. TBH honest, don't really appreciate my opinion on a car being linked with religion and people losing their live's though.

    Jealousy?

Sorry to hear about this. I hate it when people damage your car, and I've had exactly the same happen to my rear bumper too. Needing a new one but will wait until after the winter. As for security, you can get devices that call your mobile when something is suspected......
  16. Top pics - will have to try and sort out getting some on mine now..... When does the show season start again?!

  20. So do new Volvo's, very useful in the queue at the Eurotunnel with everyone sticking things on their lenses and you can just slide a lever across!
  21. Hi Colin, thanks for the info. IMO, a trading agreement with one company is something to stand by and uphold, I agree that you should do that. However, I think you should be cautious of anything that may hinder you taking your business to other customers. For whatever stupid reason there is animosity between 350Z owners based on what site they go on. (I thought by the time we got cars like this we were adults but clearly not in this case.......!) Given your experiences in the car and the large number of owners on this board there's got to be an agreement regarding costs? If you're going to separate customers based on which www. they type in then fine.
  22. Is yours a 2006MY car, I presume you're saying it should be nearer 300bhp?
  23. How do you mean pop the top off Val? I've got to the point where I've undone the two bolts in the corners, and the screw in the wheel arch. Then the plastic spread fasteners under the front edge of the bonnet. But I've still got the washer heads stopping me from getting it off. IIRC these cost about £200 to replace so don't want to break them!! Ideas?
