I use AutoGlym leather cleaner and then AutoGlym Leather Care Cream and it does a top job. Easy to use, and the colour of the seats certainly comes back. Smells nice too!

- makes 'not very well calibrated' a bit of an understatement! But I think it must be about that.

Depends what fuel it is as to how many litres that is - V Power is more £££ than normal unleaded so number of litres for your £43 would help. I've never got more than £60 in mine either, with the DTE flashing at about 10 miles left!!

I thought the guy that did mine said he got it from Nissan for about £120 IIRC. Painting will be about the same as Tim says. Why not have yours rubbed down and redone?

http://www.funkystyling.co.uk/bargains.php OK, not quite eBay but since most of it is second hand thought this would be the best place to post this. Quite a few 350Z parts on the Funkystyling website under the special offers section. Wing mirrors, door sill protectors etc.

The F430 is my new favourite Ferrari (only because F40's are getting more and more expnsive!) and I love them. You lucky g!t!!!

Interesting that you found the driving postion OK , is the Cayman different to the Boxster S, as I found I couldnt get the seat far enough back to get comfortable in the Boxster S I tried Not got a clue mate, I'm 6'1" and was really comfortable at the wheel. Reach adjustment helped a lot with that...

Really sorry to hear it Phil, condolences to you and your family.

Top job - looks great!

What did you think of the Cayman as I'm considering one when I change my Zed. In summary I thought the Cayman was a very good car indeed. Good driving position, very easy to drive around town and village and has an awesome engine when you open it up. I got a strong feeling of almost 3 engines in one, nice up to 4k to move around town, from 4-5.5k a real nice surge of power and beyond that it seemed to kick on again and really put a smile on your face. At this point, my Zed was staying at the dealer and I was going home in a Porsche...... Until I got out of it and looked at it, and it's price tag. A nearly new one with good spec is about £47k. That's not a problem, until I thought how much the Zed is and what you get for that. And it looks stupid from behind, and the debadged version I was driving made it hard to know which was the front and which was the back..... I was close to doing the deed, but I much prefer the look of my Zed and for that much cash, I'd go for an 04 911. But don't think it's not a good car, it is, and the only mid engine coupe I can think of out there for under £100k! As for the TT, it had that stupid DSG gearbox in which drove me nuts. Great for the open stuff, but the second you want to just drive through town, damn thing kept shifting down and up all over the place. Quattro feeling through the twisty stuff was great but the gearbox really spoiled it for me. At the end of the day, when I drove back home in the Zed, I didn't feel disappointed.

I did a bit of a road test last Saturday, on the way to the Audi dealer I had a Boxster S with similar results on my private three lane carriageway too. Except the roundabout bit.... Then drove the new 3.2 TT for an hour and then the Cayman S for an hour..........

Think it might be the light mate, the doors look the same. Agree on the gaps, but then my OEM front bumper has slightly inconsistent gaps on it too.....

Sounds good mate, hope it isn't too much of a baal ache and most of all you get a good repair. I wown't hijack the thread but it will be interesting to see where we get to....... -
Definitely up for one, how much in GBP all in?
-
And 1,000 posts!! Any joy with a sensible rear bumper anyone?? Nissan are wanting silly money for one and people keep using mine as a bump stop in car parks.......
-
If you can get an answer on the question I'd be very very interested. I like that a lot.

Bad bugger!!! Good excuse for a decent bonnet Me?! I mean it, mine's been being used as a bumper car by anyone who cares to see it at the moment. It's not nice to hear. Have a dent in the passenger door where Jeff Capes has clearly parked next to me and doored it, and then someone with a fairer arm has done the driver door, and the rear bumber has been hit - again. I give up! So not so much bling myself, need some banter to get it going again!! -

Sorry to hear it Ming. How is the bling going? Any updates, on the other thread to reignite it all?? -
Yep used to use the NXT wax religiously. I found it very easy to apply and buff off. Left no residue whatsoever, the finish was quite good and was very quick to use, but didn't last that long. The AG is different. Its finish is awesome and seems to last for ages! The problem is that its very hard work to buff off and can leave lots of residue if you get lazy and don't buff it off efficiently. Swings and roundabouts etc The Yes but is the AG a polish or wax? Polish is for making your paint shiny. Wax protects your paintwork after you have polished it! If the AG is a polish and the nxt a wax then they are designed to do different things. Mequires do a polish and that too is hard to buff off just like the AG. So remember polish = shiny. Wax = protection. The AG is a polish Beavis, and you're right they are very different. Sarnie, car looks bl**dy great IMO, can really see the 'deep' shine. I know what you mean about the effort on the AG but it is worth it. Have been having a few chats with the local Lotus / Porsche approved paintshop (Elise got hit - again!! ) and I've got one new thing coming to help...... http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/Stor ... ductId=117 It speeds the end up and have seen a huge difference in rinsing at the bodyshop. Next bit is app. AG products have silicone in them. Which is no bad thing, but worth bearing in mind for paint work you might have done. App. the silicone goes deep into the paintwork, hence the great results, but makes it harder to deal with when paint it being worked on. I'm going to try and find a comparable polish, but if I can't find one then I'll stick with AG. The best bit is the wax I found. It's P21s, and I've not seen a wet look, that lasts like this and this easy to use - ever. For the price the result is astonishing. I'd recommend to anyone right now. Kit list looks good to me Sarnie, am sure there are those out there that would want to replace everything for a bottle that said Poorboys or Zymol on but I'm not sure you could see any difference. Certainly not for the money!

Nice pics mate. Those blocks out of the cars look awesome. When I get a proper garage........

I've got one which was bought with a bit of cash after a relative passed away they left me. I like it simple and so many people commented when I changed form the full plate to the personalised about how much better the car looked with it on. Which I was a bit surprised about. It's for me in any case, not for anyone else, but nice if it helps the car's looks!

Hi Marc, Yeah, it's been a manic few weeks, must be about a month since I've been on here. Hope you haven't missed me too much! People not going on 20th then? You still want your car doing? Got me some new wax......
