  1. Cheers Zzz. I guess I have two points based on what you've said. Firstly although it isn't structural and the the wheel won't fail, if Nissan sell these as an optional cosmetic extra that they charge a fee for, shouldn't cosmetics come into it? Secondly, NMGB are underwriting the claims and they know it's an issue. So why replace so many and try and get out of this one??? Not your problem of course, just questions that remain unanswered to me both by dealer and NMGB. All I want is somebody who can put themselves in the customer's position and actually see it for what it is!
  2. The torque of the Am is poor too. My Bimmer has 360 lb ft and has 0-62 mph time of 5.2 secs. And I have a back seat. As I said not a proper Aston. As for the idiots on TG, would you expect them to be able to handle the iDrive. Personally I play with mine without looking.....ooh er.... Seeing the figures and the price I have to agree on the Aston! Disappointing. As for the iDrive, you have to admit it doesn't have many fans! No need for so much of it. What ir_fuel do?!
  3. Didn't realise how big the gap was in performance and spec on these two. Which being which?? One has:- 4.3 V8 380 bhp 302 lb ft 175 mph 0-62 5.0 sec Another has:- 4.3 V8 483 bhp 343 lb ft 196+ mph 0-62 4.0 sec
  4. Both lovely cars. Would take the Ferrari every time.
  5. Sorry to hear it mate. I didn't have a stone to contend with this morning, just a 'delete badge option on obviously poverty model' 3 series coupe to deal with. Lets hope there's no third thing waiting, and this one lasts a lot longer!
  6. Try this link, has the airbag reset steps within! http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... rbag+light
  7. Do you work at Nissan GB? There must be a way around me having to force the issue and get to someone who sees sense and acknowledges the problem??

    Sarnie's new wheels

It's been nearly 4 hours. Got the pics yet?
  9. Which anyone with common sense would agree with. By definition, this rules out Nissan GB.
  10. I like that grille, anyone know where it comes from??
  11. One carefully drafted letter (including token dose of sarcasm) will be on it's way to their mailbox. After that, who's up for a Monday morning drive out to Rickmansworth!?
  12. How are you getting on? I'm about to write my next letter after goodwill rejected it because the previous owner missed a service interval by a few miles. Or we can arrange to 'visit' them one day? And my Zed may strategically break down right at the entrance of their car park until someone comes down and talks to me......
  13. Right, the shopping list is almost complete, with one little gap. Can anyone help? I'm looking for a polisher / metal finisher in the Thames Valley. Searches provide some but quality levels are always a risk and it ain't cheap! Anyone got any suggestions? Finally decided on the theme. Just need to work out how to keep the fish fed.
  14. Given the issues I'm having with anything under warranty at the moment and having the joyous luck of speaking with the tools at Nissan GB, if you want warranty to remain in place without question, leave it.
  15. Both look nice, welcome to the clan!
  16. There's an 04 on Autotrader for £10k (at Cargiant).
  17. Down to the paint shop together to get em painted and fitted then?! Sounds like a plan..... D'you know anywhere good/reasonable price? Have you had any thoughts on the xenon washers? Specialised Paintwork are very good and reasonable. Lotus and Porsche approved paintshop. The washers, I was thinking of just asking them to cut out the holes. Baptist - any ideas if this is possible? I'm not sure Jon comes over here anymore. Why's that??

  19. That's one I hadn't thought of. Looks a bit small to me. Isn't it based on a Focus? Worth a look though if its in budget and snobby-arse will be happy with the Vulva badge. Put any pre conceptions on the shelf mate and go look at the pair of 'em. Also read Top Gear's lifer report on them both. You're right, it is based on the Focus, which helps the dynamics that Volvo were sorely lacking. The new Focus is much bigger than the old one so you may be surprised. My 2p. Struggle thinking of something only 1 year old at that price....
  20. Down to the paint shop together to get em painted and fitted then?!
  21. That's not problems mate. Let me check the ££ tonight and will confirm. I can collect from Londinium way anyway, I'm not far.
  22. Basic Volvo V50 and a five door Fiesta with the balance.
