  1. As the guys have said, it's variable. Mine were done after about 30-31k, and I want to change the fronts now as the OEM ones leave dust after the first touch of the pedal. Not ideal!

    Bright silver wheels?

I'll try an mock this up for you tonight between coursework and photoshopping an old P1800 Volvo Not too sure on shiny chrome wheels, personally. They can look good in the sun, but can also look very plastic IMO Thanks a lot, I'd be interested in both!! I don't mean chrome, it's bright silver. Take a look at the links and see the difference. It's not normal silver, but a shinier version.

    2007 MINI Cooper S VS Z

In summary, it's a damn sight easier to control than an understeering Mini in the wet!

    2007 MINI Cooper S VS Z

The easiest way of sorting the quandry in your mind is drive the two. Very different (my Mum has an 06 MCS) and I think you'll like one a lot more than the other depending on what your personal preference is. The Zed is a great car IMO. What are you driving now, wanting a Zed??

    2007 MINI Cooper S VS Z

Yep, it will shift, but a lot depends on traction (FWD), gearing (5 spd?) and balance as to how it performs in the real world. It'll probably cost Zed money too!! Should we presume you're currently a BMW 1/2 Series owner then?

    2007 MINI Cooper S VS Z

Will do. 280bhp Zed or otherwise, the 0-60 times are the same as the 296bhp ones due to a random bit of extra weight they carry. Could be down to poor Zed driving with gear changes lighting the traction control up like christmas in Chav's Ville! But get rolling with a GP Works and it's good fun!

    2007 MINI Cooper S VS Z

Welcome! Admittedly I can't see this video from work, but I had a go at one of those GP Works thingies with 218bhp, and while it was swift, it wasn't a match for the Zed. In 2nd and 3rd it would stay with me until the last 1k rpm and then from 4th onwards it was a gentle pull away, but comfortable. But a B road thrash would be interesting......
  8. Welcome to the mad house. Enjoy your choosing!!
  9. How much for fronts only? I did my rears last year (about Oct time) so only need fronts.

    Bright silver wheels?

Cheers for that. I think it looks quite good in the sunshine. May experiment a little......
  11. But it will be oh so worth it!!
  12. Ah, I see. Adavance the cam timing double over the valve opening reaction time and that should sort the problem. I think the UTEC manual says to dial in 990360 to activate........
  13. Welcome - I remember the pain of waiting for mine....
  14. Evening all. I've been looking about at wheel refurbishing options (colours and finishes) on the off chance I might see something a bit different (all pending a positive outcome from the warranty stuff of course ). One of the options is 'Bright Silver', like this - http://www.wheelrefurbishing.com/exbright.htm As opposed to 'normal' silver like these - http://www.wheelrefurbishing.com/exsilver.htm I'm thinking I like the bright silver maybe but struggling to picture the difference. 2 questions - what do you think? Secondly, anyone able to Photoshop me a GM coupe with Rays in bright silver?? Pretty please?
  15. Get yourself a photobucket account and upload them to their site. Then copy and paste the IMG reference of the picture from their site and it will show the picture. Like this:-
  16. That quote says to me the supercharger is £5k, no price for a TT?

    Lotus Exige

They have air con and leather in almost all cases.

    Dealer goodies

Entry guards, boot mat (reduces some cabin noise) and some Nismo goodies based on what's been said so far. Do the wheels need a refurb or anything? Maybe they'd pay for some other toys like engine covers if that takes your bag?

    Surgery Needed

A small crease (paintwork not broken) on the front wing of a Vectra and small scratches to paintwork and plastic bumper on an Astra You have PM.
  20. +1 +1 - I've had to give feedback recently to a few saying they were 'too polished' - slick people thinking they can roll out a perfect answer, but shows a lack of initiative and personal thinking and character, which is important for the rest of the team. Practice some personal input on your answers.

I'm right round that way mate. What sort of work do you need doing, I have plenty of names for different jobs.

    Lotus Exige

Currently having an Elise I can say that living with a Lotus isn't a big problem. If you can get in and out of it, which being honest is a limiting factor, it's a great car. The drive is awesome and I've never felt so connected to another car when it comes to the driving experience. Don't expect any niceties though. If you want it to be a replacement Zed it won't do the job. It is noisier, and assaults the senses and lot more. A mate is about to get an S2 Exige S from his Red Rose TVR T350C - he fell in love with it so the performance is there! Look cool and are very reliable. It wouldn't be a bad choice. Only other practical point is if you think stone chipping on the Zed is an issue, you ain't seen nothin yet.....!
