  1. Just saw this on the 'Trader if anyone's interested.... http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ca ... h_full.y=7
  2. PM lomoto about a luggage net, he may be able to help +1
  3. I've fallen in love with this after TG mag's review last week. A proper pin up car! For once, I agree with your suggestion Sarnie and think you should get this one.
  4. Interesting Ricky. I remember when Autocar did a test with an Astra VXR on the fuels and found the opposite. BP Ultimate actually produced less power than normal unleaded, and V Power came out on top. Tesco 99 was marginally less than V Power IIRC. I know that I notice the difference in mine, I used to use BP Ultimate, and apart from the horrendous price of the stuff, the fuel consumption was down to about 22mpg. With V Power it's between 25-26mpg and goes a lot better. I haven't tried Tesco 99 so can't comment.
  5. That takes some balls!! To fly that far, wreck the car, and do your body a major shock, I think that doctor was right!!

    Bright silver wheels?

Hi Ming, I think I will go for it. On the basis that people have either said there's no difference (so not worth it) or positive comments I think I'll try it. I was looking at them last night and they really are quite a flat silver so think it will lift them. And am I the only one that thinks the two tone doesn't look awful??

    Bright silver wheels?

That's what I thought but before making a major faux pas I wanted to see if any of the technical wizards could show me what I'm letting myself in for. I suppose worst case it's only £140 to have them put back to original if it looks a bit wrong....
  9. 'I'll drink to that' - One disgruntled programmer......!

    Bright silver wheels?

Anyone able to mock that up?
  11. Just like the old Windows 95 version of Word. Change language to English (US) (I know that's a contradiction of terms but it's not my program) Go to thesaurus and type in 'I'd like to see Bill Gates dead' Answer......?

    Bright silver wheels?

Cheers Louis Not sure now looking at that. Not sure it would be that 'white' though?
  13. Whoa - new post needed 'The Demise of Britain under New Labour', lets go the full political hog!
  14. Welcome! Personally I think the car looks good in any colour. I went for the GM as I thought it was the best metallic colour, and I can't stand flat paint. Just me though.
  15. My fronts were done about 21k and the rears by about 30k.
  16. Where have all the Scots come from?? Zed prices can't have got low enough to tempt them?! Welcome!

    Bright silver wheels?

I'll see if I can dig out a picture. janoof - I know what you mean with sunshine, but if the wheels themselves are brighter I want to make sure it doesn't look out of place.
  19. Two Point near Baker Street for Thai food. It's unbelievable!
  20. I've grown up now, it's now their Mum's! Ah well....... The Zed will soon be a modern example!
  21. He he, I used to Nixy, just a different class of lady!! Don't judge a book by it's cover!!
  22. Oh yes, just like each time I get out of the Volvo and into the Zed, you realise those little differences.

    2007 MINI Cooper S VS Z

+1, hit the nail on the head for me. Oh, and in the previous one the SC did my head in and gave nowhere near enough gain to balance it out. Take a Zed on a course where you can learn about it for a day (Carlimits etc) and you'll find you have to push it a lot harder than you think to get it way out of shape.
