  1. Heard abt this earlier sad day idd
  2. Hey guys, still not done anything on the BT kit front, work has me bogged down. I will look into seeing if it is possible, maybe find someone on the net who has actually done it .
  3. i believe the steering wheel controls are connected to the original head unit, which in turn controls the BT unit of the 350z. Therfore u usually lose this control after fitting an aftermark head unit. Hopefully someone can backm me up on this.
  4. Hey guys, well my Z ICE is coming along nicely. After buying an after marker HU i realsied the BT Adaptor (thansk sarnie) doest work anymore. So i have bought a BT kit for my head unit and was wondering if it would be possible to wire the external microphone to the old microphone wiring and therfore making use of the original mic. Any help or direction much appreciated.
  5. Ok so ive spotted some Zs in and around Glasgow's westend, i usally nod or flash :| No reciprocation though Sad state of affairs Saturday: Azure on woodlands rd outside Beanscene. Sunday: Gunmetal Partick, just past retail unit.
  6. Finally got everything fitted in and hooked up Works and sounds a treat. Had a slight problem with the SWI-JACK spent one hour looking for the remote inout on the head unit :\ turned out it was on another lead that came with the HU oops Other than that the SWI-JACK is working fine. I guess if you want to be able to use the steering wheel buttons it is useful. Why have buttons that dont do anything? Makes car seem a bit cheap imho hehe
  7. I figured it out that am ok to leave those wires unconnected from the website: Question: The OEM-1 with the RAD-UNV wire harness has wires with a red stripe. What are they for? Answer: They are the positive inputs for used for low power headunits typically 20x4 watts or less. If the aftermarket radio speaker outputs are 25x4 watts or higher use the standard EIA wire colors or another word, just wire the aftermarket wire harness to our harness color for color. Only have the SWI-JACK to go now Then i can rip open the Z hehe
  8. Hey nope i didnt bother, i bought one but as the JVC HU input is not ISO format, so the micra loom would not fit. So i would have to splice twice as many wires if i am thinking abt it correctly. Im looking at the PC2-76-4 micra loom right now, it doesnt have any Low Level wires either :|
  9. Ok guys im trying to hook this up to my JVC HU harness. I have matched up and spliced all wires apart from the low level ones on the pac-roem. My JVC harness doesnt have these ? So what do i do with them? Following are unconnected: front left + low level wht/red front right + low gry/red rear left + low green/red rear right + low purple/red Any help would be great guys
  10. Good news 3 years warrany on 360s now, mainly to deal with the ring of death issue. http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/13876/Microsoft-Extends-Xbox-360-Warranty-to-Three-Years/
  11. So i got my 350z and was thinking of replacing the BOSE head unit. Will this invalidate my waranty? I know i can always stick the BOSE back in, if some future electrical failure occurs. But just trying to figure out what the best approach is/might be? Also i was looking for some more detail on what the paint warranty covers? I seem to have a pretty deep chip on the lower front lip :\ Pics will follow soon. But a second hand purchase means i cant really argue what caused the problem :|
  12. When i was shopping around for quotes within the Admiral grp, it was abt £70 more for import. Other than that they didnt care too much. Shame my tracker never lowered my quote with them. Allegedly it has no meaning to them :| Sigh Ride looks mint
  13. I know how u feel bro. F'in neds ! Always used to key my old car outside my house. So i installed some cctv and it scared em away. Might be a good idea to invest. Only costs abt £70 on ebay.
