That just looks like a poor fitting kit. As you say, there are often visual mismathces but due to the different materials being painted it often looks different. Even the standard filler cap!

They like to make it like the cars. It looks pretty but is fundamentally flawed and often doesn't work

Have you not noticed all the factory tints for the last few years only being B pillar back and the front windows being left clear....? The check is actually 70% light transmission but since most manufacturers tint the windows to this degree anyway there's nothing else to do.

You're not meant to eat it Mike Also try some detailing brushes, try it dry first and if not get some water in there and a hose to rinse it out.

Bumper and skirts look out to me. As said, it is hard to get a complete match but that is a bit too far. I thought this was going to be another 2 tone GM when I saw the title!
