  1. There is something uglier, and it is also by BMW - the X6
  2. Type the tyre brand and model into Google followed by 'review' - you'll see plenty of people's comments on them.
  3. Either the PG if you can get it sealed or look at a JL 10" IMO
  4. I think it is a Navitimer Chris http://www.abouttime.com/business/mnt1/ ... blue-2.jpg
  5. As 911s go (not a car I think of often as there are so many around here) that does look the part
  6. Hi Stew.. hope you are well and the Zed ??., Cant beat Omega's IMO.. recently bought a Planet Ocean Chronograph..very nice item a few of my collection I'm pretty sure I got one in the bottom row out of a cracker in 2008.... Very nice Tim
  7. The Cayman S is an extraordinarily good car to drive, great feel and suspension set up. I had a few hours in one when I was looking at adding to the stable! But it doesn't do enough for me to be almost double the price tag over a 350 / 370 sadly.... To the original post on the 370 over a 350, the personal view aside then the place it is definitely more capable is on track IMO. It is so much more capable!
  8. I hear Colin has done his deed, hope he hasn't swirled it too much! Only joking, top marks to those helping out. Fingers crossed with the health situation
  9. As said it does sound excessive. Would check it has the right oil in? Are you seeing anything leaking anywhere?
  10. ...a set of mats?! Not seen this noted on here before... There is an optional extra available on the GTR, being a set of 4 mats with deep pile, enamel GTR badges and dry carbon heel inserts. How much would you bid?? Bet it's not the £904 Nissan want!!
  11. Is it one with the rev up MY06 engine (300PS)?
  12. two wires :- connect the live + to the red and black wire connect the negative - to the switched earth on the pink Blimey, he's back!!
  13. viewtopic.php?f=59&t=36291&hilit=performance+friction
  14. The Mrs went through Albany for her Lotus repair. We ended up in court for all sorts, won the case comfortably, but in my experience it is not the way to go. Prestige really isn't that far, I'd encourage you not to discount it, they know what they are doing (with insurance companies too, the Lotus got twatted 3 times while we had it!).
  15. Crowthorne / Bracknell / Hook / Hartley Wintney. Perfect Paint in Sandhurst have got good reviews plus they were the ones wanting to replace the bumper. Look up Prestige paintowrk at J12 of the M4 - top quality paint shop and will do an awesome job.
  16. Insurance IMO. Think about all eventualities, like if the repair isn't to your satisfaction, or if it takes 3 times as long due to part shortages or more damage than they think.... Safer all round.
  17. Um, what about asking a local garage if you can use their workshop for 20 mins while you do what you do?
  18. Could well be the catalytic converter burning off some chemicals / coking up a bit.
  19. Needs some greens, reds, blues in the range IMO. I love my 350 in GM but it doesn't need every shade either side to black and white!
  20. Not a fan of snowfoam either tbh. Mine is:- 3 buckets (one with grit guard, one for wheels and arches) CG Citrus Wash n Gloss Megs Wash Mitt Aqua Gleam 30ppm inline filter AG synthetic chamois Megs drying towel Range of microfibres and cloths Envy Valeting detailing brushes Megs detailing brush I don't use wheel cleaner I don't use sponges If doing the full hog:- Sonus green clay Half water half detailer as lube Poorboys SSR1/2/2.5 as necessary Poorboys White Diamond Glaze CG jetSEAL 109 P21S (R222) soft wax Collinite no.476 hard wax
  21. Extra Gloss is very 'robust' smell wise, and doesn't seem to attract much in the way of bugs from memory. I use jetSEAL 109 now and that just attracts reflections
  22. As said, careful with wax. For example,t he Megs stuff is quite aggressive, try some Sonus green clay for a milder start. And if you like SRP, you have to try the Extra Deep Shine polish. Based on the SRP it works so much better on newer paintwork and especially cars where you want that deep reflective look My last old show car with using this and the Extra Gloss Protection as a sealant...
