Thanks Tilly. I was travelling South from Bradford and slipped left on to the M62 East. Saw a pair of cameras just before the slip.......

Drove the M606 yesterday and as I slipped left on to the M62 saw a 50mph limit repeater and two cameras....... I'm sure I didn't see any signs before that (I know the M606 is quite short) nor do I recall see them as I got on...... I'd assumed National Speed Limit - Am I about to get a letter??

Saw the NMGB UK-registered GT-R yesterday. Apparently it was prepared for Top Gear to try but TG decided they wanted to do a bigger feature and set off to Japan......... Even Jezza must be impressed.....

There is only one Nissan deposit. It is £3.5k. Some dealers have been taking deposits to put you on their list (and some haven't!). Thats between you and the dealer. Oh! And some dealers have taken deposits and now aren't on the list of GT-R approved dealers and cant place orders. I feel sorry for their customers who are now having to find an authorised dealer (Sat in the GT-R at Geneva next to a guy who's dealer had taken two (yes, two!) deposits from him only for him to find they are not a GT-R dealer. They've said they'll get him on another dealer's list without losing his place in the queue........ I'll leave you to think that through!!)

Dont know about under load - but maybe that isn't a bad thing. On starting it sounded to me like 2 x a Z !! Sounds much bigger than a 6 - clever tuning! Turbos have a slight whine too...

I was only guessing and had assumed the non-refundable deposit gets you the car as specified at order time - unless an alternate option appeals and you change the spec. a reasonable time before the build programme starts. Seems logical but I could be wrong.....

I'm fascinated by how much wrong information has been put about - much of which seems to orgininate from over enthusiastic sales people at certain delaerships. Its also worth bearing in mind the current specs. may not be the final ones as the build programme for the UK doesn't start until December '08. My personal opionion is there may be option variations as the year progresses. Having said all that, I went to Geneva with a list of questions.... but when I saw the black one in the lounge, I forgot the list ... And later, when I heard one start, I had to lean against a wall because my legs went! The questions are drifting back now (heated seats?) but whatever the answers I'm going to find the money and have one. Its just phenomenal..... JohnK

Just to add to the details - all three specs (Basic, Premium & Black) come to the UK with the Bridgestones.

So the other Middlehurst car is a LHD US Model? Thats all there was on the Nissan stand at Geneva.... BTW - The Black bodycolour will also *only* be available (in the UK) on the Black edition - not on the Premium or Basic. JK
