I've been looking for spare set of wheels for my motor. I only want them to use whilst my others are being properly re-finished, and possibly for winter use. I'm not bothered about style or tyres, just a set for occasional use. I've seen a set of 18", standard (not Nismo) rims and part worn tyres. But I need some advice as to what to offer. I obviously dont want to spend a huge amount but would like to make a fair offer. What thinkest you all? TIA, JohnK

This month's Car reckons £55k. It seems it only has one cup holder though - in the back ...... and I thought they were going after the US-market big time!!!

Mine came on recently but dissapeared after a dealer reset. I'm fairly certain it was caused by non-retracted passenger seat belt locked out but not in the receptacle..... (somebody will probably tell me now I'm talking out of my a*se!). JohnK

We despatch calendars evwery year. Assuming we're talking ones and twos then Royal Mail First Class cant be beaten. We despatch something like 5,000 packets a year with a loss rate of something like 1 or 2 items per annum. But do get your packaging right. Rigi-Kraft envelopes were the best but getting difficult to find. Board backed envelopes will spilt and disgorge their contents. Hope this helps!

We receive lots of packages every week, so see the service from the recipients end. Are you going to be shipping to businesses or domestics? I see quite a difference! Incidentally, we're having real problems with DHL at present. They used to be clearly the best but they've adopted a new scheme using contractors to do "home delivery". As we're a business in a rural area with mainly residential around us, they insist our packets will now be delivered using this service "adding up to 48 hours" to the advertised Next Day or Economy serivces!! Sorry for the rant!! JohnK

(R C Crapper - get it?) and when I worked for a large US-based computer manufacturer, the internal telephone directory was a wealth of fun. I thought the decision would be back 5 grid places but, on reflection, with the other drivers involved it could have been difficult - Takumo Sato back 5 places means he might have to start from the front!

Saw two at the 'ring last weekend, a UK plate dark grey (not on the track to my knowledge!) and a German plate Black (out for a lap or two). I think the comment about careful choice of colour for the side panel is spot on.

This may be totally stupid but, if the battery was totally flat, what was powering the alarm?

"Basically, if the lights are on a separate switch with a warning light on the dashboard, these are fog lights, and should only be used in extreme conditions. "If they come on when you flick on the main beam switch then they are driving lights not fog lights and will disappear when the lights are dipped or switched off. "Also drivers should ensure they remember to switch off rear fog lights after use as they can mask the brake lights of the car as well as dazzling motorists travelling behind."

Be careful with using those front lights. I'm fairly certain they are illegal except as fog lights and therefore a good excuse for you to be pulled over. Does look great from the rear!

I wonder if McLaren's legal team can insist that a similar official be appointed to the Ferrari garage to ensure Raikonnen and Massa get equal treatment ......

I've recently installed a trial version of Cloudmark (as recommended in PCPro), which is an on PC spam filter. Important points for me are: It uses a Internet database to decide what is Spam. It runs on the PC so if an incoming e-mail does go missing you can check the Spam folder (very important from my business perspective). I'm very tempted to subscribe but just thought I'd check here to see if there is a better alternative. Thoughts? JK
