I had this though in 1979..(apologies for digging this photo out again, but I just loved this car ) Wolface Wheels if I'm not mistaken? Just an excuse to get that picture up again....
  2. My first car was a Mk 1 Escort. loved it. Had loads of Ford and still own one...
  3. i had 2 capris.................... a 3.0 auto t reg first time round then a 2.8 special b reg............................ I had 2 Capri's. A 1.6GL and a 2.0 Ghia. The latter had full bright red interior...
  4. Love it. All that 70's stuff as an old munter. David Bowie, loads of old Fords.......
  5. I Couldn't post it here because of file types and file limits. Must ask someone to look at this.
  6. Been a couple of times. The main event is the drag strip and of course the Skylines seem to dominate most years. All sorts of cars, Cossies, Vettes & Vipers, Scoobies and Evo's. Supra's etc. Well worth a day out. The car park is also full of nice cars.

  9. Well I'm staggered that only one person as applied. It's free, no catch. Also give you the opportunity to say why you wouldn't go. Too expensive for me. Only been once and it's p1ssed it down. This was when Schuey won in the pits. Confusde the hell out of the crowd.
  10. Robots and Spiders..... You've all lost me, and I work with IT systems....
  11. Sure have. Saw em in Cardiff back in the 80s and their laser light show was the best I'd ever seen. Wasn't it Lemmy fronting Hawkwind pre Motorhead? Anyway, Top Gear is chavvy IMHO but still entertaining. Just don't admit you like it in public...
  12. Gues you guys have not heard of Hawkwind then...
  13. Never heard of VMWare. However, very interested. My daughter wants an Apple Laptop, but will need to ba able to work with the other PC's in the house plus MS Office etc. What's best?
  14. don't forget the driver qualities from that equation! the R34 was driven by one of the ring veterans, there's a video on youtube iirc. Also some cars are actually engineered around the track when originally developed (again the R34 was one of them) so that is going to make a massive difference in lap times. I thik you will find that the ring is pretty much like a real road, in that it's pretty bumpy, so gives a good impression of a cars capability. My Cossie would be a nightmare on the ring as te suspension is far too hard, but on a normal track it's perfect.
  15. Well said Steve. A friend of mine know someone who took a camper van round... This is an interesting article on lap times. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordschlei ... _lap_times Nice to see radicals at the top. Would have expected to see the Veyron higher TBH. The surprise to me is the M3 CSL 7:50 and perhaps even the R34, both saloon cars and faster than the Ferrari etc.

  17. I was 5%, but probably 95% if I count my name....
  18. I like it.... Love the red interior. Looks like a nice quality retrim too. Must be one of the only wide body conversions in the UK. Veilside V3 bumper I believe? What about the arches?
  19. So says this article. Does have a good few points... http://www.ciao.co.uk/Top_Gear__Review_5505405 So if you like it are you a Chav? Take the tests to find out. I'm stuffed for starters. One says do you know someone called Kev..... http://chavs.john-dixon.co.uk/chav-test-am-i-a-chav/ http://www.chavfreebies.co.uk/how-chav-are-you.htm
  20. Yea, at least you can get some good ideas and as you say do it a lot cheaper.
  21. Elvington was used by a lot of Track Day organisers a few years ago. It has a very hard surface though which is hard on tyres.
