  2. Be rude not to So when are you all going to start bidding...
  3. Where away the week before but think the missus wants to come back Saturday, so should be able to come.....
  4. Cheers Guys. Still no bids but plenty watching. Unless it's you lot of course...
  5. You can get carbon fibre ones. Seen then on US eBay... Looks nice with a Carbon Fibre Bonnet.
  6. Cheers mate, hoping it make £500 TBH. I recon it's a real bargain at the starter price. PS: My first electric was a Black Les Paul copy. It was a Jimmy Page thing....
  7. An handmade Spanish Classical Guitar and my daughter Fender Squire. Not really played this much and it's too nice to put on display so has sat in the case for 6 years. Sad to see it go TBH but can't see the point of keeping it as the money will come in handy.
  8. Here...... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... &rd=1&rd=1
  9. A friend of mine just boght his X5 for £27k. 2 years old with 48k miles. I though this was a bit expensive, but he says he's bought it as this depreciation from now will be lowest in class.
  10. I'm sure this would be repairable, as it's so well engineered. I expect this would go back to bugatti and have all new parts fitted, so be as good as new. Cost, who knows....
  11. I wonder what his insurance will be after this claim... I say "he" but it could be a "she"...
  12. Looks expensive... http://cars.uk.msn.com/News/car_news_ar ... id=3786890
  13. The new M5 Touring looks good but a bit expensive. DMS do some nice diesel conversions for the 330d and 335d engines and the gains are significant. From your list I would reluctantly say Audi, but I'm not a big Audi fan. To me they are expensive VW's, Seat's and Skoda's etc. I can't think of anything else which would fit as you need an estate. You could consider an X5, say a 3.0d. A firend's just bought one and he says it' really does feel liek a car. They hold the price so well too. Why not a 5 series 335d? You could also consider a Cayenne?...
  14. I couldn't agree more! Why spare your Z for the next owner? I'm unlikely to replace the car as after paying for it I moved house and took on a much bigger mortgage as an investment for the future. I will have the car for as long as I want it so by keeping the miles low, hopefully that will be for a long time to come. That doesnt make sense. You buy a car to keep it for a lengthy period of time yet you drive another car to keep the miles down? The only benefit of keeping the miles down is for resale value but as that not an issue why drive another car. These cars are good for about 20 yrs worth of driving!!! At 15,000 average miles pa that would make it 300,000 miles after 20 years. Can't see a Zed lasting to that mileage, whereas 5k per annum it should.
  15. I couldn't agree more! Why spare your Z for the next owner? It's such a great car to drive with and it looks so damn good! I do +- 15K miles each year with my Z. I would consider a 4 door saloon for the real harsh winter days and moving people around. Also it would be nicer for shopping as I managed to damage the interior already. Simple really, I'm currently working in London, but prior to this was coverinng 35k pa. That's what made me turn to a second car. 15k is average nowdays isn't it? My missus does that...

    BMW Warranty

No they assure me they are £87.95 + Vat each. I think it's all about cost of ownership, which is important to companies etc. This is why BMW's, Porsches and Audi's are 20,000 miles service intervals.
  17. Buy a new car and the do it all for you...

    BMW Warranty

I show you next time we meet matey. Anyway, yeah £88 plus Vat is cheap. BMW prices are not as high as some think. Been pricing an M6 front Bumper. £920 plus Vat in primer....

    BMW Warranty

My BMW disks are the same except they are rivetted. No difference really. The reason the ones in the picture are bolted is that they use expensive alloy centres so are designed so that you retain the centre and change the disk. With my BMW disks they are Zinc plated steel centres so are disposed with the disks. I think you are getting confused with floating centres. These are where the centres have springs so allow the disk to move slightly. I believe bikes use these alot....Tim?

My daughter asked the same, excuse me to say, dumb question..... The Earth...

    BMW Warranty

Not at all. The idea of a 2 peice is to allow the disk to expand and contract with heat at a different rates. This will be achieved as the two parts are rivetted togther. I have seprated bells on my Cossie brakes and these are bolted togther. No difference really. The other advantage is that the steel centre will be significantly lighter than cast iron disks.
  22. Must have gone up. I just paid £80 about a year ago and just put it on my BMW.
