  1. But I'm happy for everyone to know it's a 650i. If I de-badged it they will think it's a fake M6 that's a 630i underneath... I might consider a subtle M badge..?
  2. I've been to France a few times. Brittany is alot like Cornwall. If you want to take in some good roads try going further south, such as the Vendee and go further south. The weather is also better..
  3. Kev9M6, I'm beginning to see why you got banned For liking another make of car.... PS: Don't get too touchy, It was a joke.....No offence hopefully taken..
  4. An M6..... I've been considering AC Schnitzer Boody kits, but they are: - a. Very Expensive, plus you need the £2k ACS exhaust. b. Spoilers are Bolt ons, not full bumpers and can't be taken off, (glued) c. May affect residuals as they are not to everyone's taste. The 6 series does not have a BMW sport upgrade option for the bumpers as the 3 and 5 series has. The 3 & 5 sport bumpers look surprising like the M3 and M5 bumpers BTW. So it's either standard bumpers for the 6 or M6 bumpers. I prefer the M6 bumpers as the are quite subtle and should add some value. Also, I can always keep the old bumpers and put it back to standard if need be. What I'm not going to do is re-badge it an M6... It's no different than fitting Nismo Bumpers to a Zed, e.g. doesn't make your car a genuine Nismo car. Anyway, why am I justifying this to a Datsun owner...... Only joking....
  5. They are sitting in the spare bedroom at the moment... The standard quad on the M6 is 4x76mm. I can get the Eisenmann in that size or 4x83mm, so thinking of going the extra 7mm.
  6. I've been looking into M6 bumpers and sills for my car and was pretty happy with my existing 19 inch sport alloys, then these came up and couldn't resist... Genuine BMW M167 forged M wheels as fittied to the M6. In fact these were taken off a new car, so I also got the tyres as fitted to the M6 which are Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, all £900's worth. These are 19x8.5 fronts and 19x9.5 rears fitted with 255/40's and 285/35's which are one size up from my exisiting size, so should easily be within tolerance. They are also supposed to be 4 pounds per wheel lighter and I suspect that's when compared to the standard 18 inch wheels so could be even lighter than my 19's. In fact the tyres will probably be lighter than my Bridgestone run flats. I'll weight them before I fit them. PS: Also considering a quad exhaust setup, but there's so many options. At the moment I'm favouring an Eisenmann setup. Some M6 pictures
  7. I'm self employed so as little as I can get away with.... Mind you add in 30 hours a week travel time some weeks, which I don't get paid for... Anyway, the week is nearly over........... You know what they say.....Work the rude interuption to the weeekend..
  8. Seen these before and I really like them... So much better than the previous Rays which I never liked.
  9. A Mazda what...... I give up. How about one of these..
  10. SOLD....... for £486. Was hoping for £500 but happy with this. Even at this price i reckon someone has got a bargain as this will only appreciate in price as it gets older.
  11. The 2Ghz one with 60Gb drive is £663 and it doesn't say refurb. This seems too cheap. I checked kelkoo a few days ago and the prices on these were higher. Maybe we are just about to see a price reduction and these are one of te first to advertise?
  12. This one seems very cheap or am I missing something... http://www.microwarehouse.co.uk/catalog ... 6427b6b83d
  13. Yes found it thanks, and you're right I wouln't get the VAT back as it would have to be in my company name. Found this place doing them for £730 https://www.krcs.co.uk/shop/product/det ... ombo-white
  14. Thanks Steve. It is for my daughter for here college course, but was planning to buy it through my business to claim the VAT back. How can I get the discount though either way. The link shows £749 for the starter machine, which is the same at most places. Cheers Kevin
  15. Yes they are a bit retro. Porsche used to have a similar black centre split rim wheel on the 911 turbo's in the 80's...
  16. Too big for the site. I've tried reduding it but seem to loose the animation. Anyone know how to do the in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0?
  17. Can anyone recommend a place to get an Apple MacBook at a good price. Been looking at the Centrino Due 2 13.3 inch screen in white. Thanks Kevin
  18. Work Miester S1 3 piece. Full forged rims and centres.
  19. That's where I got my wheels and springs.
  20. I was told to calm down on the day for getting so airborn. This picture found it's way into a Land Rover magazine.
  21. We've been picked to go on the Jeep Trials 2007, so get to drive a Commander off road I guess it helps that we had one for a weekend. Going May 12th in some quarry at Peterborough
  22. Not had any problems with diffs on ours. We have had a gearbox problems. It developed a ver minor leak when we first had it, and I reckon it lost so much oil, it caused some damage. The gerabox is one of those sealed for life jobbies and apparently a o ring seal where the electrical sensors plug in hadn't been assembled correctly. Basically, we've had 3 breakdowns in 2 years which isn't good, but the Jeep warranty and breakdown support has been excellent. We've now had the gearbox, ecu and gear level assembly all changed and these parts carry a 2 year warranty. The breakdowns occured as the gearbox went into safe mode, which means no drive...very handy. Other than that the car has been fault free, not even a rattle. I'm putting the gearbox down to a one off. The new Jeeps have far superior auto gearboxes, much smoother change, and the 3.0 V6 diesel is superb. Feels more like a V8.
  23. We've looked at the Pathfinder. They are shockingly badly built, like many of the current Nissan range, (350z excluded). We looked at a 06 reg on the forecourt and the interior was so shabby, e.g. stretched leather, that it looked older than our 04 Jeep... American cars get criticised for build quality, but our experience is that Jeeps are as good and often better than many Jap 4x4's.
