  1. Doesn't it just show up as an additonal disk drive so you can drag and drop? No, unfortunatley not. I did a bit of googling on this and its something that apple left out. I had a Creativ Zen before an Ipod & that was simple drag & drop to get tracks on & off. An ipod shows as an additional drive in "My Computer" but you can only get things like calenders off that way Sneaky. I would go with the Creative if the interface to the car's system was available.

  3. Thanks guys. Reckon I'll go for a 80Gb. Amazon and Dabs are selling this for £220. PS: Has anyone tried mp3sugar. It's a Russian site aka allofmp3 which has now been closed down. I downloaded a album the other day for $1.62, i.e. less than £1... Click here http://www.mp3sugar.com/
  4. Found these 2 FAQ's on the Apple Website, so looks like I'm OK but wil have to switch to iTunes.
  5. Thanks guys. Am I forced to use iTunes software on the PC though. I'm currently using Windows Media Player 11 wit the library facility and all my music files are MP3. If it's going to convert them all to the iPod format then I won't bother. I want to make sure I stay with the generic MP3 format. I hate the idea of locking myself into Apple's format.
  6. I'm considerinng giving into the iPod as my car now has an interface to the car and iDrive. Having my entire music collection available with full track and artist listing really does appeal. I've had a Creative Muvo now for a few years, so know nothing about iPods. Can any of you iPod gurus answer a few questions. 1. Will they play my MP3's. I've avoided iTunes for the locked format and would like to continue downloading generic MP3's 2. I will need to create Playlists. What PC software do I need. I've been looking at the new 80Gb iPod. This is £224 at Amazon. Any recommendations where to buy. Thanks guys
  7. why is a black kids doll offensive. If that's the case why isn't a white kids doll also offensive? Who said Gollywogs were a black kids doll? They weren't of course - quite the opposite A contreversial black doll popularised by Robertson jam
  8. Sorry but not too keen on Axis wheels. The Hiro is a nice design but has a reputation of cracking spokes.
  9. I find them very offensive and vow never to buy one I didn't mean the adult variety with working orifices....
  10. I agree that the black & while minstrel show is a bit weird, but why is a black kids doll offensive. If that's the case why isn't a white kids doll also offensive?
  11. Sorry Rob, just my personal gripe with the Zed. It's far too heavy when compared to it's main competitors.
  12. No offence but this is performance car. Therefore I would make it 300kg ligter, i.e. Porsche Boxter weight. It would then handle superb and be agile, as well as better accelleration etc. It doesn't need more than 300 bhp If you want pratical buy a Mondeo.... The only thing I would have done about the practical design of the car is a rear seat, aka Audi TT
  13. Now Now You have to call them ragdolls or you will get nicked as I was told last year in a shop that was elling them in Bourton on the Water Bought two of them one for us about 2 foot high and a little one for my grand daughter Also last week a guy up north was nicked for selling them gollywog A contreversial black doll popularised by Robertson jam, the doll was later found to be politically incorrect and manufacturing of these cute little characters was illegal. Nowadays, the word gollywog is misused to call someone of black skin (also see wog). because the doll is black it MUST be racist, infact anything including cars and trainers that are black in colour should be illegal because they are racist. See http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gollywog

Yeah..he's a genuinely nice guy isn't he? Neil Absolutely. Very talented with the film. Have you seen how difficult the Bimmer bumper is?
  15. It all started a long time ago. Anyone remember the Gollywog on Robertsons Jam?

  17. Engines are built at Nobles, Chesterfield just a stones through from you Tim and me. I went around the engine building area when my car was on the rollers. The Noble name is just a coincidence BTW.
  18. Where's the best place Steve to download Firefox? http://www.mozilla.org/ , kev. It's hard to believe Firefox rose like a pheonix from Netscape ... Right, now using Firefox....

  20. What harsher than the Zed ?? Are you having a laugh, mate? The Zed's nowhere near as harsh as plenty of other sportscars. It's positively cossetting compared to my old Mini Cooper S - now that just bounced!!! I agree. My daughters boyfriend has a new Fiesta ST. Now that's firm suspension....
  21. Just to clarify, the Zed is in the top group, which is cars over 225. The Zed is 280. My car is 267 so also the top group. The rate for G is £300 from tomorrow or £195 today. See http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Ow ... G_10012524 And to check the emissions see http://www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk/search ... esults.asp
  22. Over 200kg lighter than a Zed so should be quicker. It should also benefit from this in the handling stakes.
  23. Quite topical as it's budget day. http://omidr.typepad.com/torque/2007/03 ... ius_i.html
  24. IMHO the Tories would do exactly the same. This is the trendy "green" thing to do and the governement has to be seen to be doing something. They don't care whether it has an impact on the environment, they are just hopinng it has a positive impact on votes. Governments only plan for 5 years anyway. Most of them will be dead soon anyway so why should they care about the environment....
