  1. Who actually takes them off-road anyhow - cash point cripples on the kerb at Barclays I suppose We do... Wife has horses. Try towing 2 heavy horses, (16h & 15.2h), through muddy fields, not to mention the weight on the roads.
  2. I agree, also who cares what the outside looks like on an off roader? Also, styling wish, it won't age as it's already "Old School"..
  3. Not my choice, it's the missus and she loves it. Won't be until the end of the year at the earliest. Tis a love it or hate it styling, and yes I know most in the UK will hate it as we are a conservative bunch. The dealer said Jeep UK aren't happy with the sales in the UK, but they are selling well in the US. The reviews praise it though and many have said it's the best Jeep yet and a very competent off roader. Provided you can live with the styling...
  4. The military influence I guess. Also makes it seem enormous inside. Fun to drive though, a real big boys toy...
  5. I've seen the new coupe at the dealers. Looks better in the flesh, but not keen on this.
  6. Our local Jeep dealer was offering 48 hour test drives of the new Jeep Commander so we had one this weekend. We aren't ready to change our Jeep Grand Cherokee yet but a least we have tested one of the options. Styling very Hummer ish, but overall a pretty well built and nice to drive 4x4. Underneat it's based on the Grand Cherokee. Feels much bigger than it is due to the boxy shape, and the engine is a peach. A 3.0 litre Mercedes diesel with 220 hp. Exterior looks like a Defender, Interior a luxury motor and with a clever third row of seats.
  7. From your resident BMW owner..... http://uk.cars.ign.com/articles/771/771957p1.html Listen at
  8. Bought mine with the wheels from Status Auto Design in the US. They are readily available in the US.
  9. Got this one. The drive does slope a little so shows the car a few millimetres lower, but then again the springs had only just been put on the day before so may settle a bit.
  10. Excuse for a picture... Here's mine with the RS-R's (15mm lower)
  11. I can't come, not I don't want to come I hope you've got a note from your mum...
  12. I believe I'm correct in saying a 40mm drop will much up the goemetry and mean you need adjustable camber arms. That's why I went RS-R Ti2000 springs which only drop by 15mm. To improve the damping I replaced te struts with Tokico D-Spec's which are adjustable. IMHO this is one of the best setups you can get for the Zed without going to coilovers. Val has these on his car. Sarnie - If you are thinking of lowering I've got loads of pictures of Zed's at different ride heights, ranging from 400m on Eibach springs to RS-R's. The other thing to think about is speed humps. You will start getting problems if you go as low as 40mm.
  13. Lowering springs are design to fit your existing struts, which means you keep your exisiting dampers. The final ride height is therefore non adjustable. Coilovers replace the struts and springs. The strut bodies on coilovers have adjustable spring seats therefore adjustable ride height. Coilovers also usually have smaller diameter springs so are lighter and allow wider wheels. The range of springs and and adjustability make them more suitable for motorsport. Clear as mub...?.........
  14. Love the ending.... You wouldn't see one of these videos on a patronising Police Documentary.

    Cat Boxing

Definate improvement on Kevin the Gerbil....
  16. Cleaning the Toilet 1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl. 2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom. 3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid. 4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this. 5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and "rinse." 6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door. 7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids. 8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom and run outside where he will dry himself off. 9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean. Sincerely, The Dog....

  22. I prefer PS myself...
  23. I'm a possible to good chance for the 15th...
  24. Never made it to performing, apart from a few Classical Sessions at the Guitar School when I was a kid. Once the Strat has gone I will only have my hand built Spanish Classical Guitar and daughter Squire. The squire would you believe is lovely to play although not the best sounding guitar. Must get a shot of the Spanish.
