  1. Looking good Val.. What's the white bit on your c/f aero plate?
  2. They are sweeet. Correct offset too. Someone buy them quick...
  3. Nice, what is it and how much are you asking?
  4. I agree with Chris, let's chat on the day. Also, picking up on Beavis's point. You are right about 350z owners being sensible. But that's now. As the the cost of buying into Zed onership comes down this ill open it up to shall we say less sensible people. I speak from experience of the Subaru owners. I took part in a Scoobynet drive and this was getting dangerous at times. The were a couple of accidents as well, not in my group I'll add. So safety will become an issue for future events. Perhaps we can talk about this too on the day.
  5. I say offer everyone the opportunity to donate on the day. Don't turn it into an entry fee thing, for charity or not, it'll put people off coming. I know what you mean, but wouldn't it be nice to have an annual charity raising event, with a chance to in some cash. We could have a poll? I'm cynical and I'd say no. I don't do charity. Flame me if you want but I choose to spend my hard earned and not give it away. I'm sure there are plenty of worthy causes but not for me. I'm lucky enough to have never been afflicted by anything that would prompt me to support a charity. Maybe that will change but at the moment, I don't feel the need to. Maybe it's time to change then.... ..

  7. This is looking like a great turn out... How about us all using this event to raise some money for charity, say Comic Relief? We could have an entry fee of say £10 per car, so 25 cars would make £250. We could even consider a raffle or prize for the best turned out car for say £50. What do you guys think?
  8. It's a phrase I've only come across recently. The US guys use this quote alot. See http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ricer Great description (Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt) A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to): - Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder - Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747 - Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool - Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself - Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire - Clear tail lights and corner signals - A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine) - Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case. The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.
