  1. Wow, 2 bar should be 900 bhp++.... Do it, do it..... Boost controller, 1.2 to 2 bar?.....
  2. Roughly 1.5 bar, so 2 bar should be about 760 bhp or maybe more? My Cossie runs 2 bar, but probably not recommended for an every day car.
  3. Do you get to chase people in old fords and drive through empty cardboard boxes.....
  4. Awesome mate... That's a lot of torque and also a very nice flat one too. Must feel totally mad. The bhp curve is also impressive. I suspect this engine could produce much more too if needed as I suspect that was quite a low boost? 1.5 bar my guess? What you planning to do with it BTW. Track, strip maybe? Would also be interested in rough costs?
  5. It's an MG though. Will make a TVR look reliable and well built....
  6. Top Gear tested one on the track and it was sooo slow considering what it is. It's: - 1. Ugly 2. Poor build quality so will fall to bits 3. Non existant dealership no spares etc. 4. a Rover 5. a Rover 6. a Rover Nooooooooooo...........................
  7. No Giles are 10.5's. I think the offset is +23. If hes got 10.5 Racing Hart rears...... they'll be +22 in fact! I'm sure they were +23 or +24, not +22 like Rays.
  8. Personally I can't bring myself to watch the programme as I feel the same about Sugar.

    Zed v Scooby

That indicates that the Cayman is a very popular car and the Zed isn't. We all know Porkers sell by the bucket load, but the comparison was 2 performance Jap cars. Anyway I conceed that the Zed is a rare car, always was and remains so. Dear I also say that the Zed has had it's day in that the production figures have peaked in the UK.

    Zed v Scooby

Not really a fair comparison though as the Scooby has been around for many years, 1993 I believe so that's 14 years in production to the Zeds 4... I saw 4 Caymans today and 0 zeds I'm pleased for you, you must have enjoyed that but what's it got to do with this thread.....

    Zed v Scooby

Just to add, the old Scooby's were even lighter, something like 1200 kg, as apposed to the hefty 1545 kg of a Zed. That's a lot of extra weight. The estate is horrible looking though.

    Zed v Scooby

Put simply, the craziest driver will probably win and I wouldn't recommend racing on public roads. However, I've owned both, in fact my Scooby was a WRX Prodrive so had 235 bhp, i.e. less than an STi. On twisty and bumpy british roads, which let's be honest is most british roads the Scooby would win hands down every time. The 4 wheel drive and suspension setup is much more suited and even my WRX was quicker. Also don't forget the Scooby is about 250 kg lighter so the power to weight ratio of an STi is better than a Zed, so even on the track I would also say the STi would be slightly quicker.
  14. Love it. The colour kinda suits the Zed. Reminds me of the 240z's of the 70's. Didn't they come in a green. Also, like the idea of grey wheels....
  15. Thanks guys. We took it to Stanford Hall Classic VW Show yesterday. Great day out and managed to get some original US High Back genuine VW seats. They need recovering so the first project wil be a full interior re-trim. BTW you wouldn't believe how cheap Bug parts are. How about a full interior retrim in any colour you like and with original VW vinyl for £300. That's all seats door panels, rear panels, including restuffing seat bases etc.
  16. The new Evo does look nice. BTW do you guys realise this thread would be locked if it was on the OC.

  19. I've seen pictures of the coupe. Didn't realise there was going to be a cabrio. Personally I would go for the coupe, but not at that price. Also hate the rear spoiler.
  20. Spice of life? Your dedication to the marque is praiseworthy (albeit misguided) GRASSHOPPER, BE YOUR SELF. AND NEVER FEAR THUS TO BE NAKED TO THE EYES OF OTHERS. YET, KNOW THAT MAN SO OFTEN MASKS HIMSELF. THAT WHAT IS SIMPLE IS RARELY UNDERSTOOD. THE DUST OF TRUTH SWIRLS, AND SEEKS ITS OWN CRACKS OF ENTRY. AND A TREE FALLING IN THE FOREST, WITHOUT EARS TO HEAR, MAKES NO SOUND. YET IT FALLS.
  21. The car as gained something like 200kg and the V8 is claimed to be lightest in class.
