  1. Wouldn't mind checking out the finished job, sounds I'll post some pictures of the interior when done if you like.
  2. Who cares. 2 overpaid teams full of foriegners that represent all that is wrong with premiership football all the moment. Let's hope it goes to penalties and someone cocks up and makes a fool of themselves. Been windsurfing today instead and just got back. Brilliant day with loads of wind.....oh er missus...
  3. It's had a cosmetic repaint, so exterior is ok for now. The car is also very solid so worth spending money on it. The interior is a mess though. Horrible Ford Recaros, so we've got hold of some original US High Back Bug seats so going for a full re-trim in original VW vynyl, but black but with red piping. Then over the winter possibly a strip down and full repaint. Also got a oil leak but that's pretty common on Bugs...
  4. Love it including the colour... Just a minor, never been keen on the rear bits stuck on the rear bumper. They look a bit errrr.....stuck on.
  5. My daughter has a 1969 Karmann Carbio but very different to the latest car. From what I understand, it's a Golf underneath so should be pretty much bullit proof and well proven.
  6. Long story. Anyway, welcome. You'll find they are a good bunch here. They even put up with me... PS: Love your current motor and colour...
  7. I think this has been posted before but very funny and very true. http://www.howmotorwayswork.co.uk/
  8. I've just had an extra oil change done on the Bimmer as the service interval is 20,000 miles or 2 years whichever the sooner.
  9. Awsome. Brabus are so cool and subtle, i.e. if you want to be cool and understated, (Lamo OTT), then this is the kind of car for you. 0-120 in 12 secs is seriously fast. I think the 211 mph is just under the speed at which the car would become air born....
  10. Congrats and well done.. Interestingly I'm now a self employed PM and earn more than when I was permanent. When I have work of course.
  11. BTW you need to view this during the day for plenty of action..
  12. Unfortnatetly this agressive driving style is all too common nowdays. More so with asshole BMW drivers, usually 3 and 5 series I may add. Funniliy enough I've had no bother since I've had my Bimmer....
  13. I think you will find that all Volks are Chromed. They are chrome on alloy. The reason I say this is I read a number of threads where Volk users in the US had kerbed the wheels and since this removed the layer of chrome the damage cannot be easily polished out as the metal underneath is a different colour. Work Wheels are polished alloy...
  14. Quite adictive. There's some bird on at the moment. The feathered kind... http://wavelit.com/index.asp?ch=Wildlife&sh=africam
  15. It's a different world over there. So many exotic cars... Pretty boring but if you are patient there's even a Zed at the end. I think it was driving past..
  16. Just asking to get your car keyed I reckon.
  17. With respect, that's the power/torque at the wheels and not necessarily what's transferred onto the road. Some these cars you are comparing to have 4 wheel drive and all were design to handle much more power and torque, so real world performance is about traction and handling. So in summary in the real world I think a Veyron and many others on your list will be quicker. You should see a big power RWD Cossie doing a standing quarter. All wheel spin and smoke..... BTW - Would love to see the Cossie sometime, another animal altogether I'm sure Sure thing, where abouts are you. I'm Derbyshire. It would be nice to see the 2 a the track. Would be a hard call as the Cossie as a weight advantage but nowhere near the torque and a very peaky power and torque curve. I'm hoping to do a track day at Donington in July ish. Derbyshire is quite a long way from here unfortunately. Am going to the Silverstone event on 3rd June if you're going to that. No sorry, I'm away then too. I'll post up when I book in the next track day as a few were interested in a passenger ide...
  18. Good call.......Congratulations...
