So are you going german now or that S type you were considering? This one looks OK http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/186990.htm

Axis Hiro's look well on a Zed and come in a suitable offset. Do a search on here and my350z.com for pictures They are US wheels and there was some issues with spokes cracking, but this was a few years ago. These are cast wheels I believe so won't be super light.

I've tried lots of different oils and whilst Motul is one of the best, I can't say I've ever noticed any difference. What was you usinng for oil, SAE90....

Tyres can make a big difference on standing quarter, even road tyres. Even the street cars when drag racing use slicks PS: Just wtaching Extreme Channel on Sky and saw a Top Fuel at last years FIA Drag Racing final do a 4.7 secs...

Speaking from my experience of the 350z, I would not go 20's. I went 19's and the extra weight and width really put a strain on the standard suspension to the point where I was not happy with handling when pushing hard. I ended up upgrading struts and springs, which I hadn't budgeted for. Most on here know these wer fully forged Work wheels so weren't heavy cast wheels, but you will be increasing the weight unless you are careful what you choose. I've just ugraded the BMW wheels and stuck to 19's. Overall I've saved 25 kg , and it's transformed the cars ride and handling.

Over the new MY07 Kev? Absolutely, hate the bonnet bulge of thhe MY07. The Z4M engine is a peach....

I'd have a Z4M....

It's got carpet, back seats for the kids, a boot for the golf clubs, air con...doesn't sound like a track day car to me. Track day car = roll cage, stripped interior, race seats & full harnesses...etc. It#s more for the gentleman who likes an occasional bit of fun on the track. I reckon.
-
I wouldn't class an M3 CSL as an out and out track car. They are damn quick on the track though, saw one at Donigton when I was doing a track day. Never got the chance to be out with it though, but it was impressively quick. To me a track focussed car is a Radical, Exige etc.

In the last 3 weeks I've sat in 911's, Astons, Lambo's and Ferrari's. All left me feeling dissappointed with regard to the interior. All were dull or very basic. I don't think I would be happy with any interior for £80k! The zeds interior is awful But I don'r give a monkeys as I love everything else about it. The £80k is going on the exterior, the noise and 500 BHP not fancy switches and door handles I know that but tb fair I doubt there's a porsche, aston or ferrari that looks as dodgy as that - Kev do you have a pic. of your interior? For 80K you want to be cossetted, comfortable and be surrounded by nice touchy-feely quality stuff as well as a loud fast motor. Well I would but perhaps that's just me For £80k I want sexual favours as well but its not going to happen! Look at this 360 interior: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/187954.htm Rubbish imo. If interior was top of my list I'd be looking at Bentleys and high end mercs but its not. Infact is doesn't even make it onto my list. Look, I'm sure we would choose to spend their money on different cars than a Gallardo. Sinbad would have a GT3 RS and Louis an Aston. Look 100 times better than the Gallardo picture in your post.. And thats your opinion. Your entitled to it. I'm sure everyone on here is thinking if I had £80k I buy ........................ and each one would be different and for different reasons. I'm sure when you bought your 6 series lots of people though 'Id have bought something else' One thing we are agreeing on is that the interior isn't great but the interior is not even a consideration for me. You buy for yourself not people on here, well that's my motto. If this is the motor for you go for it. If you mind is made up why are you even discussing the interior. Who are your trying to convince, us or yourself. Personally I don't give a rats ass what people think on my choice of car. Even my daughter hates the Bimmer, but that doesn't bother me. Maybe you on the other had are looking for approval of your choice. I buy everything because I like it not what other peoples opinions are. Hence I drive a yellow car I have not tried to convince anyone about anything about the interior it was you who brought it up. It was you trying to convince me that it was substandard. And I agreed I just stated that it wasn't an issue for me I didn't say it was sub standard. I said the Ferrari looked 100 times better, but that's in a picture, so hardly a test of the standard of interior. What I do't understand is what my car's got to do with it. Unless of course the 6 series in on your shortlist. Otherwise it's irrelevant.... You may not of typed the words 'substandard' but thats what you were in infering The point of mentioning your car was that it also cost a lot of money. And when you bought it I'm sure other people passed judgement on it too, just as people have passed judgement on the Gallardo. You spent £XXX on a 6 series, I wouldn't of. Im gonna spend £80k on a Gallardo, you wouldn't. Its that simple On my shortlist Please don't infere from one liners on here. I never inferred sub standard. How on earth can you from a picture. I was referrinng to looks only. Quality needs to be seen. You've also decided I woudn't buy a Gallardo, where did that come from? I also never said that, so not sure how you came to tat conclusion. Since a Mercielargo is my dream car a Gallardo would be on my short list. I can start to see why you were banned from the OC..... I think you've got this the wrong way round. It was YOU who was banned from the OC you arguing with members about the merits of cars not me, I was banned for Trying to bring members to this site alledgedly Surely there is someone with a 1 series on the BMW forum that you can go an bore........ Let's leave it there shall we since you are now getting very personal which is uncalled for. And before you say I was getting personal, it was a joke, hence the wink.

DB9? No ta Z06 is different but not keen on american muscle cars You do realise the 350z was designed to appeal to mainly the american market, i.e. a baby muscle car, hence it selling in sh1t loads over there and a relatively rear car over hear. It's got a 7 litre engine, weighs a little more than an elise and has over 500 bhp, not to mention sh1t loads of torque.... It was also only one second a lap slower than a Gallardo on the Top Gear Stig times, which is pretty impressive considering it's not 4 wheel drive.
-
Liam, Have you not thought about a DB9? At least it's got decent interior... See http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/178820.htm Now if you want the performance bargain at the moment then how about this limited edition with 512 bhp, new with 3 years warranty and you would still have moeny left to buy another decent motor... http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/178795.htm http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/141527.htm

Try these 2. I've used them both. They are local to me but will ship. http://www.paddockspares.com/ http://www.dls-uk.co.uk/ Try buying Land Rover Owner. There's loads of adverts in there for indepent spares suppliers...
-
I suspect this car is modified. It's certainly de-resticted so is probably chipped. There are a few who have chipped M6's to 550 bhp ish. Also probably a non standard exhaust.

Gets interesting at about 4 mins plus. Max speed at about 8 mins 40secs

My yougest daughter has a Xsara, brilliantly reliable car. We've had it about 3 years now and covered 25k miles. My oldest daughter has a Megane 2 and she loves it. I've had 3 Xantias. My foirst I covered 70k miles and it only had disks and pads. My last one was a 3litre V6 32 valve Exclusive. Fantastic value second had. I ran this for a few years from 45k miles to 130k miles and never serviced it propoerly, i.e. occasional oil change only. in the end the gearbox died, but boy did I give that car some hammer. Engine was a peach, the PRV used in the Clio V6. My dad's had a Xantia for 10 years, (he's retired now), and it's been very reliable. Before any of you condem them, the're better than the british equivalents. They may be quirky looking but many are better built than Jap cars, but clearly not up to german build quality...

I like the looks of that coupe. Headlights a bit big. Watch your backs 350z owner's...

A ricer with a Lambo..... Must be decatted to produce flames like that..

Short answer is yes. Performance pads achieve a better braking performance at the cost of disks. You must remember that disks are also consumables, but with normal pads the life is considerably longer than with performance pads. Ferro Carbon Pads tend to be the most agreesive on disks, so I assume you have these. I use Ferrodo DS3000's on the Cossie and the are very agressive but not Ferro Carbon's. DS3000's are supposed to eat the disks and someone told me to expect 3 track days, but so far done over twice that and the disks are still looking OK. I would expect disks to last OK with most pads on the road, just a shortening of normal life. Most disks do last for up to 60k miles anyway and then it's usually only the fonts that go first.
