  1. Can some one please recommend a place in the Derbyshire or Manchester area who can do a good job on privacy glass tinting for a 4x4? I'd even consider travelling on a recommendation. Also, what %age tint and colour should I be going for and what kind of cost should I expect. Never had any tinting done before so all advice appreciated. Thanks K
  2. Liam, I've seen the device you describe on Maserati's. Graypaul in Nottingham install these on all new Maser's. It works the way you describe I believe. Why not give Graypaul a ring. I'm sure they could put you inn contact with an installer/agent. You can get Graypaul on 0115 983 3555
  3. a 1969 Mk1 Escort 1100cc...very slow ut kept me out of trouble for my first years driving. Should have kept it longer as it all went down hill after that...
  4. I love the early episodes of the X factor. Some of the auditions are very funny. I wouldn't put myself out to watch though.
  5. Have a good un Jacko. We did the CA thing last year and hired a white convertible Mustang. Surprisingly not that expensive. We ended up at Hertz at LAX as all the others didn't have any available. They also had Shelby's for hire. PS: I'm in Cornwall at the mo, (near Newquay). Just about to go surfing for the afternoon.
  6. So sorry to hear the bad news Tim. Best wishes to you and family.
  7. No way Teardrop 996's looked like shitey boxsters, the 997 returns the Porsche to the classic shape of 993's & before IMHO The new Boxster has the same headlights though....doh.....
  8. Start.....You won't find that kind of behaviour here...
  9. Have you been chastised from the OC for daring to own another make of car...
  10. I'm not a big Porker fan but that's nice. The aero kit I especially like. Almost looks like a Turbo. In fact aren't they turbo wheels?..
  11. Not read it all, but why doesn't somebody notify eBay to warn the buyer. Or was it somewhere else Imran "it woz me brovver", sold it through? As a side, fibreglass repaired cars are dodgy. Also, I thought a Cat C was recorded and the seller had an obligation to tell potential buyers.
  12. Each to their own I guess. I used to think similar. The novelty to visit on a business trip, but try staying in the centre, travelling on the god awful public transport, i.e. no car and working all day every day. Eventually it just get's too much. The weekends are too short and I hate Monday mornings. Kev your making me depressed now Sorry mate, I'm already pretty depressed with having to work in London. What's making it worse if the count down to my holiday, which is NEXT WEEK....WEEHEY...

  14. If you're adopting the 'I don't want to associate with the scum' argument, that's fine but it's different from the financial one I might point out that if you think London is worse than other capital cities, you've not been to many May I point out, I don't live in London..never have and never will. Also, I'm sure their are worse capital cities, but London must be on ethe the worse. Certainnly the worse capital city I've ever visited.
  15. I hate London for so many reasons bigger than this issue. Try a tube journey on Victoria at 9am. Unfortunately I have to work there mostly 5 days a week. It's a sh1t hole full of tourists, beggers, sales touts, foreigners, twats....get the hint, I don't like London.. And I used to live for many year in a city, but god do I hate London. A push bike is better than public transport. Wait...walking is better than public transport in London..
  16. SSC Ultimate Aero TT, the world’s most powerful production car, ever. Boasting a truly gargantuan 1,183bhp, the small, little-known Washington State-based company claims a top speed capability of 273mph. http://www.pistonheads.com/roadtests/do ... 47&i=16487 Sarnie's next car...
  17. Can I come? Not sure if the missus has anything I don't know about. I'm not too far from Buxton. Is there a drive out or drive to? Love to see Sarnie's Lambo..........Giz a go...

Steve Scott did a 0-60 time of 2.99 seconds at Trax in his Escort a few years ago. Not sure if he's beat it since.

Good man. Straight line is easy. Take 'em on the twisties... I am curious though to pit it against others as i would struggle to think of any other road car that could beat it once its in gear. Off the line drags are not for the G and its stupidly lightweight clutch This would smoke your car Sarnie. (Martin Hadland's own car. Since he totalled it a few years ago in Morocco in the Gumball he's built a complete new one which is even more extreme. The engine spec is quite secret.) http://www.reyland.co.uk/projects/Reyla ... /index.htm I believe his latest engine is now Dyno'd at over 700 bhp. I also have to mention Steve Scott's Ex Carlos Sainz WRC Escort. I've been on track when he was out in this and it was miles quicker than anything I've ever seen at Donington by a long way. He came into the pits when I was wiaiting to go out and his brakes caught fire becasue he was pushing so hard and obviously didn't do enough colling down laps. Awsome car. He's currently running 600 bhp and has contended the last 2 years in the British Ford Saloon Car Championship. Steve is an ex Rally Car driver and runs A1 Rally Sport at Sandy Nr Bedford. Either way, racing a car on public roads is just irresponsible.. 3 years ago Martin Hadland rolled is Escort Cossie on the Gumball at 150 mph. His passenger Lee Manning, who I know, was thrown out of the car. Some of you may have seen the accident on Men & Motors. Whilst Martin is a talented driver, the road conditions go the best of him. Fortunately they survived. Lee was in hospital for 2 months and the last time I saw him he was still walking with a limp.

No speeding...right. Of course ossifer I was only doing 30mph in me F430 honest. Either way 2 people killed and this year Gumball cancelled.

Do you guys think it's sensible to : - 1. Race on public roads? 2. Broadcast the facts on a public forum for PC plod to come and spectate? I would suggest the fastest car on a public road is usually the daftest driver with cars like this. Get your cars on a track day where you can safely push them to the limit. Just my 2p. Ignore me if you want, but don't forget others could get hurt. Remember what happended to this years Gumball. 2 innocent people dead and isn't the driver still in prison somewhere.
  25. Not on the list but for me Weight. The Zed is much too heavy and the MY07 is even heavier.
