  1. I would seriously consider 255's on the fronts. I went 245's on 9 inch rims and they were really stretched. Also a smaller rolling radius than standard and a very small tyre wall so you feel more of the road. I've seen 255's on 9.5 inch rims when I was in CA and they look spot on.
  2. But selling more cars than Nissan and making a profit....
  3. Why. You get a well balanced rear drive car with a decent build quality. Most of the alternatives are FWD. As most of you have experienced RWD I think you wil agree it makes for a more drivers car.
  4. Nice choice. These were on my shortlist when I was looking but ended up with the Work Wheels. The offsets for the rears are sensible too and will look ace..
  5. It looks nicer than the 1 series saloon or should I say bread van... They say it's light. That's a joke, 1560kg is heavy and even a little heavier than the Zed which is 1545 kg I believe.
  6. Why would a new set of wheels and tyres mean you get a job at Price Waterhouse Coopers?...
  7. 1. Ban fags 2. No speed limit on Motorways 3. Legalise Prostitution 4. Get rid of all MP's and replace them with people who are qualified and DO KNOW what they are doing. 5. Ban all religions...cause too many wars.. now that's a challenge. 6. Get rid of all stealth taxes and tax people once on theie earnings. That means VAT goes, Insurance Tax goes, Road Tax goes, Fuel Tax goes...etc. 7. Nationalise the rail system and invest to ensure it runs on time and copes with the volume of people. Also reduce the extortionate pricing. This includes the insane Tube System. That'll do for now.....
  8. If you wanting to hire a car then these guys are good.. http://www.ferraridriving.com/ Ferraris, Lambos, Astons, even an XK. hey even do rally experiences. Great for all ages. Took my daughter for a DB9 experience for her 18th..
  9. That's gotta hurt... http://www.cualquiera.com.ar/videolinks/backflip.html
  10. Too late and I've saved over £200 in any case, and my principal is if they charge too much then cancel and switch insurance companies. Not planning on moving in the next year.

    diesel

A 4x4 or Transit van. The type of cars I personally would consider having a diesel in.
  12. I used Adrian Flux as I know they are good with mods and they came up with Norwich Union. Well please at £511..
  13. Just bought the same Belkin unit for the missus car. We've not tried yet on the moe but I was very impressed in the drive.
  14. I know it's common practice to charge a lower premium for the first year, but £189 for alloys. That's taking the Pi55.... Anyway, I made sure they know why I cancelled. The annoying thing is the alloys are genuine BMW so are available over the shelf, i.e. can be bought singularly.
  15. As some of you know I've recently added new bumpers, sills, quad exhaust and alloys. I was with Privilege Insurance and my renewal was a reasonable £540 until I told them of these additions. Basically they were happy with everything except the alloys and wanted to charge me an additional £189 per year. That's 35% extra for a set of wheels. I've switched today to Norwich Union for £511 per year including all the modifications. Luckily I was in the honeymoon period of 14 days to renew with Privilege, so managed to cancel with them at no charge. So, don't use Privilege if you car is modified or intend to modify it.....
  16. What an ar5e. Didn't they teach him how to drive through deep water on his advance driving course. We've had loads of you water Chris, being downstream of Chesterfield. I had fun in the X1/9 the other day in the floods. The car in front chickened out but I went for it. The X1/9 has the advatage of engine in the middle. People taking pictures of me going through. Must have looked strange seeing such a low car going through a deep flood.. I must admit i didn't think I would make it as I watched water coming through the bottom of bothh doors but made it...

  21. I'd love to get to te ring this year but can't get a week off. Let me know the agenda and it might be possibly to join for a part..
  22. I voted frorm when I had mine. I never had to top mine up and never really noticed any consumption.
  23. I wasn't there myself, but enjoy.... http://www.nagtroc.com/forums/index.php ... 9810&st=60 Only trouble is it's still masked with front and rear bibs. Why what a waste of an advertising opportunity...
  24. I like 'em. How about a V8. If you're not doing too many miles it won't be an issue and a used V8 will probably be a bit cheaper. My car's computer was showing 31 mpg today whilst cruising at 60 mph in the rain....
