  1. All the advice is correct. That's in the area where they can repair but look like the size of the hole will be too big. I've had tyres repaired in the past and they won;t do it unless it's safe. The other point is the Zed is limited to 155mph and in the UK when do you get a chance to even approach that speed.
  2. Very nice matey. Any thoughts on lowering now, i.e. subtle say 15mm?
  3. No offset and from looking from the picture they look like a much too high offset for the Zed....
  4. Status always take a couple of days minimum to respond. This is California we're talking about...
  5. Sarnie - You're geonetry will be fine with Tein's. Load of guys in the US have fitted them and didn't need a chnage. If you want it checking wait until te suspension has settled. Tein's lower about the same as RS-R's. I didn't bother with mine.
  6. Eibach's will lower 40mm and muck up you geometry. Go for RS-R's if you can get them. Tein's are OK too. RS-R's are 15mm allround and Tein 20mm fronts 15mm rears.
  7. Love it, particulary the agreesive front. Looks like BMW are tryingn to compete with the 4 door Porsche and Astons coming soon. Too many door though for me....
  8. Depends on your needs. Personally I would have the VX220, as I've had a second car for track days and fun for sometime now. The VX220 will bring much more of a smile to your face than the Zed but of course isn;t as practical.
  9. As for the centre caps I was just asking generically, do centre caps usually come with wheels? As you can tell, I've never bought a set of wheels You normally get centre caps. Work don't give them though and don't sell them for some wheels, (race look). As for wheel nuts, it depends on the design of the wheels. Some have to have the slim wheel nuts. Also, stock wheel nuts are quite long to fit in the hole and look stupid on some designs. I bought some short wheel nuts for my Work Wheels.
  10. The OC will have to join in with the 350Z-uk meets at some point in the future, as from what I understand, they are already struggling for numbers at their meets and having to cancel. IMHO as the 350z as a used car becomes more available to the masses, i.e. cheaper, these new owners will not be interested in a Club you have to pay for when then can come here. So effectively the OC's time is limited. I'm sure they realise this which is why they are so paranoid and ban mentioning this club. My prediction is the OC will die within 2 years. Just my personal rant..
  11. Beavis, I've just got 2x 275/35/19 96Y & 2x 245/35/19s 93Y Falken 452s from Camskill delivered to my door in a day for £500. But that deal of sarnies if he can get is a good un! Ok thanks Jacko, just in the processs of finding how much shipping will be on those wheels. They are very nice Shipping should be no more than £300 tops You could even send them by boat for about £100 or even less. If you like them I'd buy 'em quick.
  12. I would be interested but will struggle with a mid week as I'm working in London, (live in Derbys)
  13. Interesting debate, or I could call it a "Mass Debate"... Clearly the value of the plate is the percieved value to the owner. I have one on my Bimmer and Cossie and personally don't give a damm what others think. If it makes you happy and you can afford it why worry what others think. I bought one for the missus last Xmas and she was chuffed to bits. All 3 plates I have cost less than £300 each and I don't intend selling them.. BTW the Bimmer was new so I'm certainly not trying to hide the age of that and the Cossie is so old it doesn't matter, (1986).
  14. Crikey do you want me to buy them for you.... Try www.mytyres.co.uk for an idea on cost. Sarnie - 285/35 x 19 is fine on a 9.5 rim. This is standard BMW M6 rear tyre and wheel size. I've got 2 in my spare bedroom...
  15. These are the correct size for the Zed. However, I suggest you consider a 255/35 or 245/40. A 245/35 is actually a smaller rolling radius than the standard 18 tyre, but this size is readily available, which is why I think they recommend it. I spoke to a guy at Status Auto and he had changed to a 255/35 on the front to improved ride. I looked at them when I was over there and they looked much better, but this was on a 9.5 rim. BTW closing the difference in rolling radius between front and back is OK, it's increasing it beyond the tolerance which is the problem.
  16. Gorgeous rims, very exclusive and in a size and offset which should be perfect. And to cap it all a fantastic exchange rate on the dollar. You can't go wrong with those babies, Beavis! These are super cheap. Advans are very expensive wheels, like Work Wheels prices, yet they are as cheap as budget wheels. They are certainly very rare in the UK and probably the lightest wheels you can get for the Zed. Also haave the advatage that they are in stock too....
  17. Kev, they are Racing Hart CXRs and unfortuately have been discontinued by RH and not being made anymore...... Damn nice though Yes I know. I was looking at these. I didn;t kow they had discontinued them though. Still like the Advans though.
  18. If you are after black then this thread on my350z.com is useful. I particularly like the flat black Racing Harts on the last page. http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread. ... 150&page=4 I really like Advans and would go for these now if I still had my Zed. They are superlight wheels and quite unique in design. These are 19X9 +22 (19.8lbs) and 19X10 +25 (20.8lbs). That's 9kg for the rears, now that really is superlight. They come in different colours too, e.g. a really nice gold.. http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread. ... ight=advan See also http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=243474 and http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread. ... ight=advan
  19. My wifes Jeep P2 service was £450. They tried to charge me £20 labour to change the centre brake light bulb. Something about being difficult to get to. I went balistic.....
  20. They are really nice Mark. I'm a big fan of Racing Harts. Proper wheels. You've also made a good choice on width and offset. My Work fronts were 9 inch +25, so just about the same. My rears were 10.5 but I always felt that 9.5 or 10 was better. My 10.5's were +29 which will mean your +22 10's will have the outside of the wheel in about the same position to the rear arch. So.....they will look... PS: That picture from teh Dazz website has the Veilside lip as I had and it's got exactly the same fitting issue I had. Notice how it isn;t fitting tightly on the outside next to te wheel arch. I altered mine to fit though. http://www.dazzmotorsports.com/download ... e91814a04d
  21. Get them cheap ones on Ebay at the mo and get em painted a really deep gunmetal colour..... I agree, a deep bronze would look ace. You will need to get some Nismo stickers though..
  22. Thanks Jacko some good links there. Do they do the Nismo wheels in black Sarnie? The black Nismos were a limited edition, so not sure if they are still available.
  23. found a photo ...these Nice car.... Black Nismos look nice... Have a look at Work Wheels or Racing Harts. Do a search on my350z.com. A great place for ideas.
  24. I want one of these too. Oh and an Elise....
