  1. are they laquered or are they just a high finish polish to them.
  2. lots of people use lots of things, all depends on what you want to pay. as a good midrange of products at a good price and good quality meguairs is good stuff. i use all there things and get a very good result. can be got in the forum or direct from them or from halfrauds. there products are also very usser friendly. dodo juice come well reccomended, as do poor boys (i use there leather care)
  3. it might buff out with a good polishing machine. it doesn't look like its eaten through the laquer, more like its discoloured it. if you run your nail over it can you feel a height difference between the damamged and non damamged areas. i can't remember the instructions on autosol, b ut that might even do it.
  4. i've found more pics i really like it. looks like it would be an expensive wrap though
  5. good luck, i think your going to need it, from what i've heard that is a mammoth job.
  6. is it possible to reverse the colours to see what it would look like mainly silver with red on. i'm guessing this was a silver car which has had red vinyl added over the top as a whole wrap.
  7. is this the type of body art you lot were talking about?
  8. there are 3 boats there are you lot taking them all. or is it just one. is the big micky mouse ears one yours?
  9. does that mean a true dual will be a waste of money? doesn't quite make sense i think what he was pointing out is that a cell count that low isn't required with an N/A car as it wouldn't use it. i think a true dual is fine and not a waste of money, but then i have one and am biased. its possible, that if you were to run HFC's as well you may not have as much back pressure as you would like. end result would be loss of low end power so a slower pulling away, but more top end power higher top speed, bit more acceleration above 80mph
  10. I am planning on waxing it 2moro as I am working for the rest of the day. thanks for pointing that out bud sorry if it sounded like i was telling you off, or if i stated the bloody obvious and you already knew
  11. i still think it needs some kind of fish based product on it
  12. And James Mays face is a classing the cinematogaphy and timing in this film is amazing. who ever produced/directed and shot this needs an award.
  13. if you clay bar you must polish it after and you must wax as well. no wax means your not putting back the moisture the paint needs and your leaving the paint un protected. polish isn't enough on its own.
  14. i need to double check, the first lot was a batch, but he made enough and more than was required, so theoritically it should be possible to do them in 1's and 2's. will need to clarify with rob. the GB was more to get enough people to make it worth while in the first place. i think he is going to try a likwid art version of the standard zed shape, and then possibly look at wing badges when time permits.
  15. ok people this current one is now closed as the money and items are now in the exchange period. if you want to start a new list of people who want a rear badge please do. i'll include the 2 that weren't on this buy and i'll let it run into august; as it gives people a new payday. 1.Bro-t - red - silver dots 2.Boosted=Z - Black - Plain

Thats a bit too much dude!!! That fully depends on how well the car can adapt to different octanes. Back in Aug 06, Thorney Motorsport ( http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... 7&f=57&h=0 )did a test with a 2003 BMW E46 M3 CSL, and as a control car a standard Toyota MR2. They saw the CSL drop 40BHP by switching from Tesco 99RON to a 95RON. Admittedly the car was mapped for this kind of fuel, but it shows how big the difference can be. Now the Zed is mapped for 98RON, so giving it 95RON over Tesco 99RON, I would hazzard a guess that you could quite easily lose 15BHP. On the fuel consumption side, I have seen many times that 99RON gets me more than enough in higher MPG to cover the extra cost (about 3 quid a fill up) over 95RON. Also, unless you drive around for a good while with 99RON in your tank before using it on track (say drive up there on it), then you probably dont see any benefit of it until the end of the day as it takes a while for the fuel trims to compensate fully for the better octane.
  17. i watched one being fitted down at DMS, nice piece of kit, looks really nice, but can be an arse to fit "straight", DMS got it on, but the issue was that the exhaust wasn't straight as well. they had to crack out the big hammers and the oxy-aceterlyne to re shape a hanger. it was do able but took far longer than expected and a 2 man job to fit. although its not all systems, i think it was a bad batch, as some people suffer, others don't. CS also does the K2 which is similar to the scorpion, but doesn't have the fitment issues.
  18. forum is full of technical people. the zeds seems to be a mecca for those kinda of people. maybe we're the best type of people for appreciating good engineering.
  19. iphone wasn't sure at first, but its been the best phone i've ever had. i've used loads of windows based PDA's and always got frustrated with them. the iphone has been seamless

BP do a 105 RON stuff at silverstone for track users. its pointless unless your cars tuned to run on it.
  21. just finished teaching year 8 electronics, am now planning for next year and sorting my workshop out as its a mess.
  22. i wasn't taking the bung. i thought that was a compliment saying you made your fortune. must admit, thought you were yanking my chain when you said it was your surname. its an unusual one. i come across alot of surnames as a teacher and your the first sarnie i've ever met. am intrigued to know where its origins root from.
  23. mines not an offical nissan one. i suppose some people would refer to it as a cheap knock off or fake (cough ) they are made by a bloke on here and they don't need any fixings. uses compression fit to hold it in place. its basically a piece of MDF padded and then wrapped in leather. once fitted it looks factory fit. and its a lot cheaper than the standard one. its also easier to fit, and quick to put in and remove when needed.
  24. i thought it was because your first job was as a sandwich maker and thats where you made your fortune and got the lambo.
