  1. what that the planet is changing but we're not sure why?
  2. green politics is for controlling the weak minded. trying to be carbon neutral is a waste of time, until industries change there ways its pointless, then you need to focus on the developing world, they are where we were 50 years ago, with big polluting power stations and no green legisilation. plus they are the fastest growing financial areas in the world. we can't sit there with are big multi electrical lifestyles telling india and china they can t do that cos they are hurting the planet. not only that but this planet has been doing its own thing like Co2 level up etc since before me. scientists are only guessing on what causes it. there are a multitude of theories but non are proven. floods and iceages have been before and will happen again, it shouldn't be down to us, it should be a governement inititive first. like building nuclear power stations. that would make a big difference. all this wind farm crap won't provide the power we need, plus these eco cars still use plastic, and other materials manufactured from oil. and electric cars require electricity, it comes from the power station where they burn fossil fules to make it. green politics is a joke, its just an easy way to squeeze another tax out of an already over taxed nation. who have very little to show for there big expenditures. well at least we own our own banks
  3. its a genius piece of engineering, to enter and exit at the same junction. if you could learn to drive the cov ring road, you can drive anywhere. must admit in 4 years of living there i nver heard of an accident on there. its like the automotive version of kharma.
  4. i re wrote my post 3 times to try and make sure it wasn't too harsh but i'm rubbish at being suttle. sorry if it cam across as harsh. welcome to the club by the way, really good place to learn from on here.
  5. i liked cov, fav chinese was the dragon phoenix all you can eat cheap nights at the coluseum, the ring road, oh happy memories of the ring road.
  6. sorry but all yuor doing is shagging the clutch plate. your revs were so high that when you brought the plates togehter you just melted the plates. its like jabbing a piece of wood into a sanding disk, there is so much momentum it strips off some of the clutch before it bites. big difference in power delivery between Zed and CTR, your old CTR was gutless under 4k and all your power was from there uo to 8.5 k, and being a 2 litre 4 pot with VVTi it lacked torque i think the CTR has about 150 nm (or ftlb) where as the Zed has about 250, hence you have to drive it like you stole it. because the zed has more torque you don't have to thrash it to get it to perform, in fact power drops off near the top of the rev range on the zed. if your into traffic light grandprixs then 2-2.5 k is a max. i can pull away better than most on 1.5 k my advice go and learn what the car can do, have a play but don't kill it. they are sturdy cars but like any vehicle parts deteriate quicker under heavy wear. i would think you just stripped about 2000 miles off the life expectancy of that clutch
  7. i usually do the old ring back technique. but i might try someone new,
  8. lol i suppose so. when i was a uni there i was so cocky i should have had the crap kicked out of me many a time, but i seemed to get away with it. me and my mates got bannd from icon for 3 months once, must admit i'm alot more sensible these days. i kinda miss cov, must make a trip back sometime i hear its changing loads.
  9. careful when you pop it, as thaty will have loads of puss in it. make sure you put lots of toothpaste on it after as well because it will help dry it out and make it normal again.
  10. looks good, gives me a thought, maybe we should organise a 350z camping trip
  11. never had any trouble, had the odd person ask me for 20 p for the metre or phone. or the odd ciggerette. might be the fact that although i'm only 5'9" that i am built like a steam train (rugby prop) i never have problems with crowded baqrs, rough areas, clubs etc. people just seem to part like the red sea. oh and i used to be a door man in cov as well
  12. ooooohhhh track day cover will give them a try cheers mate. i'm still in the research phase at the moment, i've never taken a renewal without shopping around first.
  13. mate that lookks good, i can spot 2 i think, front reflectors and brembos
  14. Insurance is due for renewal on 3rd of august so have just started ringing round. am currently with admiral who want £750 for renewal which ithink isn't great as its the same i paid as last year which means its gone up instead of down. i have tried both chris knotts and sky, but as i rang late today they had just closed shop for the day so will be re ringing them next week as every one has been very positive about them. so i did my usual of using confused, but must admit its turned abit rubbish, normally the cheapest online but was getting quotes of around £1000 so itried money supermarket and one of the quotes i got was for £585 from a company called 1st central i've never heard of first central and was wondering if anyone had had previous dealings with them or heard any good/bad feedback about them as this price was including mods. closest that adrian flux could get was £725 with like for like mod cover. am hoping sky and chris knotts will be good.
  15. thats a real shame, can't stand that kind of meaningless vandalism. does it happen out side your house. might be worht setting up a video one night and see if you get them on tape. might be worth hooking up a second car battery to the the body work
  16. lol, and that was when the estate had improved, i heard stories form the bad old days when it was used for most of the cook reports back in the 80's i know hillfields quite well as well. my ex used to live the other side of it and used to walk through it regualrly at night to go and see her. never had any hassle, but i new alot of people that got mugged there.
  17. Ekona is an outlaw now, well in france anyway, (he is the most sensible road driver i have ever come across, real stickler for following the law etc, just got unlucky in france)
  18. it was the school that pulled from the woodend estate if you know it. Maybe they should do what was done in Torchwood - Children Of The Earth, where the aliens demanded 10% of the children. Give them all the chavs I say... if only
  19. All items have been posted today, they should go on the monday morning and should be with people on the tuesday. the 2 that asked for recorded deliveries will need to sign for their items, enjoy. will try and get some fitting instructions up on here for people ASAP
  20. some loverly shots, you good do the Car brochures
  21. i don't know what the lead time on these is going to be, i doubt anyhting in the nxt month, but maybe after the summer, i'll have a chat and see what i can do. might be worth doing that a s temporary fix until we get the new badges off the ground.
  22. just as a reference, Rob at likwidart and i were talking and we are planning a new style rear badge, using the original Zed shape, similar to what ou have there. but offering in a range of colors. if that helps. probably make it a bit bigger so that it fits better on the rear on its own
  23. those dents will push out hope the driver was ok
  24. i'd loose the 350 bit and just have the black Z, oh and by the way, you have the Zed on upside down
  25. got access to a full textiles and electronics lab as well
