  6. best to keep it straight forward like that. should mean it works a treat. can't wait to see this. should have the advantage of removing the ally plenum lkie the kinetix does, but has the advantage of it not being plastic, less likely to crack, and a better exterior finish. am already planning some vinyl work for mine already
  7. not sure about rims, but when it comes to rubbers i prefer durex featherlites
  8. whats the name of his company, should be able to google stuff.
  9. my guess is that that section will be thick as he would have had to build up the area where the spacer would be. if he's done it before he probably knows what he's doing. i feel more confident knowing that he has worked on BMW's etc.
  10. just means that it won't cut in and cut power. the question is are your driving skills and experience good enough to compensaste for not having the ESP. god no! im sure i'll die next time, anyone offering driving lessons? i'm not saying i'm any better, i leave mine on most of the time, but i have lived with RWD for a while and previous cars didn't have ESP. i am looking into doing the AIM course. won't help much with the old driving RWD but it will bring the insurance down.
  11. ok i feel abit more confident knowing he's made them for other cars does he have a website showing his work elese where. or might you be able to find a link to a forum that has his plenums fitted?
  12. just means that it won't cut in and cut power. the question is are your driving skills and experience good enough to compensaste for not having the ESP.
  13. with all the bits i need and servicing,, it looks like i might be putting i a big order soon
  14. the plenum sounds good and the price isn't bad. but its going to be one of those items that without seeing it first you may struggle to get people to sign up. i'll definetly put my name down in the interested list. but until i see it i'm not sure i want to commit financially.
  15. i know when i was looking at joining the navy as an officer, i spent some time down at HMS collingwood, they have all the new recruits through there and the artificer aprentices etc, some are only just 16, and i know its the same for the RAF and Army as well. i remember walking through and thinking how young some of them looked. i'll drink to their bravery and their sacrifice.
  16. i will at some point be adding a pioneer unit. but once i have the money.
  17. GT4 is selling some parts one of which is a rear diffuser might make a good piece for a mould?
  18. EXACTLY chesterfield, that puts you in the camp of sane people, who dont believe everything they are told by governments who need a believeable agenda to charge more tax! Im right there with you +1
  19. i'm looking forward to seeing this plenum
  20. mine was an offer, for me oi benefit as much from this site as anyone else and am happy to contribute to something that will continue to benefit me and the club. i'm well aware donations were not asked for but am more than happy to dig a little to support somewhere that i spend a hell of a lot of time.
  21. thanks for sorting that out guys, your all great +1 on the fluid, never used it, but would like to try it out.
  22. i'll stick a fiver in to help reach the £100 total. shame some peoples mortal compass is stuck on dipsh1t. have come across and dealt with many muppets like this. each to there own. suppose he's done us a favour by leaving, maybe he'll finish the favour by leaving us the domain.
  23. If I want to take the wheels off one at a time and give them a good cleaning, would a scissor jack not be the best thing to use? I'm a total newbie when it comes to things like this! (sorry for the thread jack!) Not the best thing to use, but it would work. But you can get a trolley jack and axle stands from Wickes for next to nothing! £3.66 trolley jack (2 tonne) - http://www.wickes.co.uk/2-Tonne-Light-D ... nvt/190381 £1.71 axel stands (2 tonne) - http://www.wickes.co.uk/2-Tonne-Foldabl ... nvt/190385 They work just fine, I used mine loads of times. The prices have really dropped, the trolley jack was a tenna when I got mine! bloomin heck thats cheap, have to get myself to wicks to get one.
