  1. would these take the same sized tyres as the stock wheels are are they a bit fatter. i wish you guys would stop tempting me with wheels
  2. this is looking good, thanks fo rall the info and the patience to go through all these posts this forum can some times be like an over enthusiastic girlfriend - loads of questions with out breathing almost too much info to take in at once and reply too. i look forward to seeing how this progresses especially after you have seen a few more cars go through. its a long drive up for me.
  3. i have taught dreggs like that before, and its infuriating as a teacher that you can't bash there head into a wall. try keeping you patience when deasling with said scrote. They believe they are untouchable especially in school, and to a point they are right. i lost my temper once and told a kid that i might not be able to hit him (which is what he wanted) but one day in the real world he'll p1ss the wrong person off and learn the hard way. and when that day comes i hope i'm there to see it. something i know i should never have said, and pushed the boundary of acceptable behaviour. but by god he was an utter sh1t bag. i have worked with kids that are rough around the edges and alot of them do show a glimmer of hope and you can ge tthrough to them. for others its just too late, and they are too far gone where no one can help them. sad really, all that lost potential. at the end of the day it all comes down to parenting. kids with good parents don't turn out this way. maybe a national sterilisation of the chav nation is required, especially as they seem to breed like rabbits from the age of 15. (only joking please don't think i'm serious )
  4. ~PMSL add some wings to it and you have a typhoon fighter jet
  5. i live in suffolk and bought my car without seeing it from, harrowgate. i only paid after checking on arrival though never bought local apart from my first car. i've been all over the country to find the best deals. and saved £1000's even when you factor in travelling costs.
  6. ive done the whole spinning thing in a previous car. managed to do a full 360 degree spin off a round about into the central reservation. wiping out 2 signposts and a white bollard. no damamge to the side of the car as it went up and over the sign posts etc and they folded under neath damamging the floor pan instead. cost the insurance company nearly £5000 to repair. they did an excellent job though and it drove like a dream. i have learnt not to take work routes for granted, i drove that roundabout 1000's of times and the one day i didn't pay attention i lost it.
  7. it will be a case of dismantling the centre console arm rest section, dismantling the gear exchange frame, and changing the shaft. the fiddle bit is reconnecting it to the ball joint at the bottom. i don't think the short shift is a complete replacement gear excahnge frame. total time i would guess at 1 hours. depends on skills, i did it on my old MR2 its not rocket science but fiddly. my honest opinion is you don't need it, swap to a low profile gear knob like the nismo and it will reduce your throw time by the amount you need.
  8. tyres are really hard as standard, short walls, high pressure already. its not like your towing a caravan. standard psi should be fine.
  9. how much would the 2nd set cost with tyres? like the falkens
  10. are you trolling again sarnie also to the OP with out sounding rude at £10k are you really stretching your budget, or have you allowed for incidental extras. might be worth having a read on the forum, i think there is a post somewhere that gives you an idea of running costs and charges. reason i mention it is you looking at the lower end of the market, where its most likely that you might have to make some replacements to parts in the near future. you might want to factor in at least another £1000 for bits and pieces, services etc that year.
  11. mark i'm so sorry to hear this. i haven't seen them in the flesh yet, but i know how much you love them, i hope you get it sorted and get them back to perfect.
  12. i like the 2nd set, they are really growing on me, everytime i see them, the more i like them, do they come in a GM or matt black finish possibly.

    fuel

i like the BP ultimate, the octane level may not be as high, but its good stuff. some times use V power, but more likely to stick the teco's stuff in.
  14. bring it on old man! do your worst
  15. jesus wept, thats bloody aweful
  16. sorry not my cup of tea, and neither is that rear bumper, but the front end is stunning
  17. if you look through the introduction section, most posts in there ask about which one should i buy. and it depends on what your looking for. if you buy before 2006 the road tax is only £200 instead of £400 odd. the 276 models have more after market parts available for them so if you want to mod then an earlier is better. the newer ones have more BHP and a better top end, but the 276 has better low down torque. its swings and round abouts and there is loads of info to read up on, you could spend hours gleeming bits of info out of this forum. i think somewhere there is a post with me and someoen else arguing out the finer points of which is better, but i can't be arsed to search for it. sorry
  18. I prefer the V1 to the V2 I really really want the V3 but i refuse to pay the price of it not seen a V3
  19. I'd agree that you are best off waxing or sealing after but why the need to polish? Can't think of any reason why you would need to unless you had marred the paint. i was always told if your cleaning normally you only need to wax after a wash, but if your using a claybar that you should always polish after clay, but before wax. have i got my methodology all wrong? i'm fairly new to Detailing so don't profess to be any kind of an expert, i just do as i'm told
  20. i am thinking about a spoiler but can't make my mind up. i need to see more Zeds' with the V2 fitted
  21. this is looking arc-tastic
  22. i can't make my mind up with my nismo bumper when i fit it, if i cover them, tint them or leave it as is. mine takes the older smoked ones anyway and they don't look as vibrant and orange as the facelift ones.
  23. depends on what you want it for, there are 2 methods of running it. 1. you have it on a button; when you want a boost you press, and it should give a considerable boost 2. is to run less boost but have it kick in when the car revs to a certain point, almost like a turbo. these are only going form what i remember seeing else where, i've never run NOS so i can't make a fully educated guess, but my answer would be is suppose its worth having if its done right.
  24. who told you this? it may well be the case that panels are barcoded, but i can't see the point in checking for every panels barcode. is it to see if it has been crashed or damamged, if so it would be easier to get an HPI check done. far easier
  25. some good improvements on the fly graph. nice power curve and the torque cover looks alot better. an improvement of 15 bhp on a stock engine is pretty good. i'm looking forward to seeing what can be done with a modded zed to see if the car is able to make use of exhausts and filters etc. and 10 nm torque improvemnt is pretty good as well. well done lads
