  1. fiddy had his big camera with him and took more pics than i did, and probably a lot better quality,
  2. i take it i got your old one, and you've upgraded to the new one? whats the biggest difference between the 2 as you have used both?
  3. i do want a new one, and when i get one i'll put the old one on the passenger side. as for guides to follow i used the one from andyzed viewtopic.php?f=53&t=25166&hilit=handrake+mod
  4. Gaitors were from on the forum, i think its redline gaitors or something like that, he posts up once a month letting people know his next discount code
  5. scraper is in there for when it gets icy, but its got a rubber side to it which is the side i use, not the hard plastic one the handbrake is a richbrook one, and i got it off ebay ages ago
  6. no it was silverstone and yes it was matt black
  7. i can't see the point, might as well stick a hose up your arse and fart into the engine
  8. with the weather not being so great, i've tried to use the weekends over the last 2 weeks to do some mods to the car, most of the parts have been sat in the garage or the house for months, as i've not got round to doing them. apologies in advance for the bad lighting, but on both days, by the time i had finished the light had faded and taking pics wasn't easy. also apologies for the mess my car is in at the moment, the camera seems to have shown up all the dirt and dust, its in desperate need of a good clean inside as its filthy. First up was an easy one: Richbrook Anti theft valve caps. i got these ready to go with my wheel nuts, ready for my wheel refurb, but i thought what the hell and put them on now. these are the best i've seen as they don't have an allen key grub screw in them, and if you try to remove them without the tool the sleeve just spins on its own i got this engine cooling panel ages ago second hand, and its been sat for ages waiting to go on. its a little worn in places, i gave it a good going over with some autosol, but i think it might get the vinyl treatment later in the year to hide the tired marks on it. Next up was my CG Lock, which i got from paul, been wanting one for ages, i got it and then took 2 months to get round to fitting it must admit, i've been really impressed with it. can use it casually or really pull the belt tight and it has kept my backside pinned into the back of the chair. very clever little bit of kit. and last but not least my handbrake, another richbrook item, perfect fit after a little alteration, feels really nice and matches my nismo titanium gear knob well, photo isn't great and doesn't really flatter the setup, but it has also mean ti could use my gear gaitor properly at last. when summer comes, or a nice sunny day, i'll clean the car and get some proper pics done. but i'd rather wait till i get the last few bits done like my wheels and door handles first. hopefully next weekend i will be doing carbon plenums and engine covers.
  9. i know diesel engines on cars are generally about 2-3k more than a petrol version, and i know a while back the maths for making a diesel cost effective was driving a miniumum of 25,000 miles a year for 3 years before you broke even on what you spent, after that you were saving money. didn't the lpg Zed blow up due to it running hotter in the engine or something.
  10. some pics from the day sorry they were late, only just got them off the camera
  11. not cost effective unless you drive big miles every year.
  12. fiddy beat me too it, and also has graphs to prove it, as said, power drops off, and no point bouncing off the rev limiter as if you hit it the zed does tend to kill the power quite aggressively, hit it a few times without paying attention. and its not a gentle bounce and balance on the revs limit
  13. tape converter, i use it, i get crystal clear clarity and it cost me £5 i find FM transmitters can be temperamental
  14. kitted ones do come up for sale but your more likely to find them on here as a private sale. as for price thats pretty good price, and it will be the 296 engine instead of the 276, nice low mileage.
  15. if its original nismo the full kit can be got for about £1100 but thats a one off special price, i think its normally twice that. and thats before any paint has touched it. fitting on originals aren't a problem and go on like a glove, its the advantage of originals. copies can be got for as little as £400 up to £1000 but fitment can be an issue and you'll probably spend extra getting it fitted right. some of the better copies are around £600-£800
  16. How can you tell? i've seen several differnet copies from different manufacturers and the gaps are different to an original. in particular, alot of the copies i've seen, including mine have a gap at the bottom of the drivers light. also the gaps and spacing generally around the bumper. none are major gaps, but its just enough to spot between the 2. if it is a copy then its an extremely good fit. not always easy to tell by photos, so i could be wrong
  17. i run an invidia but some of the 5zigen ones might be down your alley, especially the one the chillis have fitted to theirs.
  18. and by the looks an original
  19. 2 screws in 1 tyre seems a little more than coincidence
  20. nice
  21. been doing some tapping myself today, will post up pics later
  22. Mr attacks is going to push me over the edge soon; I'm close to breaking point; and then that's it, I'm going to type all my messages using all the words you have all so kindly highlighted in the naughty column. and then I'm going to slip in the odd "innit" and "brap" just for good measure. I'm going to take a stand against the system and its nanny state, and there's nothing their language Gestapo will be able to do ************************************************************************************************THE FOLLOWING PART WAS CENSORED BY THE MODERATORS DUE TO VERY POOR SPELLING AND GRAMMAR, AS A RESULT RTBISCUIT HAS BEEN SENT BACK TO SCHOOL, AND IS SAT ON THE NAUGHTY STEP UNTIL HE LEARNS TO USE THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROPERLY ************************************************************************************************
  23. my rays wheel has one on the front passenger side, was there when i bought it and was aware of it. i don't loose pressure and its hardly noticeable. but i am waiting till the bad weather is over, then i'm hopefully getting them all refurbed up nice and new; black style
  24. i did an online translation it wasn't that accurate. and its like being trailed by the online language Gestapo
