  5. the fat one on the end is to stop them all floating away
  6. how do you want me to do this? should i go down with the plenum not fitted, get a base reading, then get them to swap it over to the carbon one, then re dyno. and then i can get my remap done? only thing is i had planned to do all the fitting before hand and then get abbey to do the remap etc for me.
  7. model shop on broomfield road in chelmsford was quite good. from braintree head to the hospital, go past the turning for broomfield hospital and chelmer valley school, keep going and its somewhere on the left. if you get to the petrol station you've gone too far. can't remember its name, got lots of parts etc from there when i was building the one in school
  8. i built one from scratch as a project, at my last school, we designed and built the chassis, bodyshell, steering system etc. we even designed and made our own exhaust. was cracking fun, and the kids loved it especially when we raced it at silverstone. get a proper kit though. buggies definatly offer more fun, unless you have open access to alot of tarmac.... like a school playground/tennis court
  9. where will your washer fluid come from, as they are mounted into the wiper arm?

  11. I was joking wasn't aimed at you, ya big muppet check who i quoted, it wasn't you
  12. i think there is a difference underneath between USDM and UK. i think a few people have bought HKS copies (not true duals) and had to have them modified slightly to go round the diff (i think) i have the invidia which is a yank system and it fitted fine. so the others should be fine. i think true duals are easier as the path they take tends to miss all the vitals
  13. look in the boot under the carpet where the spare is, your towing eye should be there. just measure it for the correct diameter
  14. Thanks for that I did search using several configurations, but got nothing on each occasion Thats why i finally asked. i just typed "throttle controller" into the search function and it was the 4th post down if search isn't working for you the advanced one underneath is better and shows whole threads instead of all the posts. anyways, hope the original post helps

    polished plenum

Me too! Thread hijack I had considered using the guide to do it myself but it looks way too much work! get hold of a 2nd hand one and do it yourself then sell your old one on to the next person. i contemplated it and then decided not only would it be hard work to do, but you need to maintain it, which means the odd polish here and there to stop it tarnishing. with that in mind i bought a carbon plenum instead no polishing required Hey RT with the carbon plenum that Scott does fitted can you still keep a carbon fibre engine cover on or do you need one of those bling like engine block things. Also does the strut bar still fit over it? i'll tell you when i get it, but as far as i'm aware it should do as thats what scot is running

  21. I can't say 100% as I haven't seen it done but if you look at my carbon bonnet, it does have a bulge in it already and there looks like there would be space on the underside as well. I have been trawling the forums trying to find something but to no avail. my guess is the bulge has to adhere to H&S from the manufacture, in the case of hitting a pedestrian there has to be a certain amount of cleance between external panels and sold parts i.e the engine. my guess is that it should fit, but with less clearance than OEM, which shouldn't be a problem as it only has to adhere to H&S when sold from the manufacturer. and not to aftermarket parts.
  22. are you sure a Carbon bonnet will clear an HR engine?
