possibly cayman S or the new offering from toyobura
  2. sounds like normal damp driving conditions with a car that has a shed load of torque to the rear wheels. ESP did its job as it should do , so alls good

    GT4 WANTED

i think i'm the same, if i had thought about it more, i would have got a GT4, but i got such a good deal on myt one it was stupid not to go for it.
  6. So, should I put a stock airbox on for the run? depends on what you want. jwt = more noise, a small performance drop stock airbox with performance filter element = a couple more bhp but less induction noise.
  7. Was meant to be collecting some from the manufacturer on Thursday. Not heard anything else yet.
  8. speak to abbey they have a better understanding than anyone. and will be able to answer all and any questions you have. and should be able to put your mind at rest of what the ECU can and can't do, and what it is or isn't capable of doing.

    My Zed

good effort, now you need to go find a nice location, for a mini piccy shoot, and try for an entry in next years calendar
  10. i will post up my results as soon as i'm done, and i'm sure jerry would do the same
  11. thats quite bizzare, my brain knows its a real place, or car etc, but my eyes are telling me models
  12. would say heat is the issue here, if the backs haven't changed then its not down to sunlight. if the paints ok, i wouldn't worry
  13. to be honest i think the throttle spacer will just be engine jewellery, but i bought it knowing that in advance induction kits are around £100 and upwards, cheapest but a good buy is the JWT, lots of people use it, but its not full enclosed, so its more a noise mod than a performance mod. if you want performance, then apparently an 06+ airbox with a decent panel filter will be better. mine has its own airbox, but will see how it does in a couple of weeks hopefully. it also has an air feed from the front grille. anything like the typhoon is about £230 exhausts aren't a bad mod, and alot of people do it as a stainless system lasts longer, the OEM rots out after about 3-5 years. if its the noise that worries you, there are some good systems that aren't too intrusive and look very close to OEM like the scorpion and the K2, both around £350 mark my setup if bought from new: - Invidia True Dual Exhaust: £900-£1000 - Kinetix High Flow Cats £350 ish i think - K&N typhoon Cold air induction kit :£235 - Carbonised Carbon plenum (waiting to fit) £250 - Rifled Throttle spacer (waiting to fit) £70 i think abbey remap £350 could get - scorpion exhaust £350 - JWT pop charger £110 - Plenum Spacer £100 remap from abbey £350 de cats are an option, if you went the route above, and the scorpion, i'd also look at some decat pipes £90 and a XYZ pipe from abbey with a sport cat in it for passing mot's, don't know prices on that. fakeindian has done alot of these and will give you an idea. but basics of it is more air in and out, the more performance you can squeeze out. not a direct science, and a bit more to it. but you get the idea. the more you do or don't do will affect the overal outcome.
  14. i know jerry, don't worry i remember some of your old posts, so this all makes sense now
  15. I'll be going to Abbey motorsports, only place in the south that does the standard ECU uprev retune. and probably one of the best places. costs about £350 for a remap, will see gains on standard but the better gains are only got from extra mods. here is what i have: - Invidia True Dual Exhaust - Kinetix High Flow Cats - K&N typhoon Cold air induction kit - Carbonised Carbon plenum (waiting to fit) - Rifled Throttle spacer (waiting to fit) hoping if i get the plenum next week i can go down to abbey the following week and get it all tuned in
  16. everything on the list only becomes worth while if you remap at the end
  17. Just put a very light smear on, otherwise you could have a bugger getting them off again. A common problem when you mate alloy with steel. i'll have a look when i refurb the wheels
  18. mine never came with a spigot ring, but they were eibachs. i also didn't use copper grease, am i going to be screwed when i come to take them off?
  19. depends if its the bulbs or the ballast, i had a problem with my headlights and went to horner bros. auto electricians in mildenhall
  20. at around the 6000 rpm mark the zed is actually starting to tail off think fiddy's dyno proves it as well
