  1. Can't picture that The scoop fixes behind the ally crossmember - bolt has to go through the hole from front to back and then scoop fixes to the end of the bolt behing the crossmember? If the bolt isn't long enough to reach through the bolt hole and leave enough at the back to get a nut on it can't be done (or am I missing something here ) i'm going on memory a bit, i know its possible though as i think this is what fiddy has done. (i think ) hopefully he'll post up and help out
  2. for me although i got a cheaper quote, the distance travelled to do it in, i'll have to add another £70 to cover petrol to do it.
  3. the trick is to enlarge the hole through the scoop, then this will go through the scoop and straight into the bolt hole.
  4. i was quoted £294 inc Vat for all 4 wheels refurbed in satin black (standard rays) that was the wheel genie in huntingdon BJV engineering same thing, £160 wheels already off, £190 wheels still on car both quoted ex VAT
  5. are you sure? i though it was me that mentioned it.
  6. don't know anyone running bassini in the UK, and i don't think anyone on this forum is running a borla.
  7. nope, because then my air scoop would fall off. the air scoop is currently held with a bolt through the towing eye socket. if i left the blot in, but just cut a whole, i'd still need to take the bumper off to remove the bolt. this option swaps the bolt for a towing eye. but what i might do is hide the towing eye behind the plate if i don't like the look
  8. mines more out of necessity than aesthetics planning to get towed? nope, but if fo rsome reason i do, i'll have to remove the whole front bumper and the air scoop on my induction kit. the new setup means i'm covered for all eventualities
  9. mines more out of necessity than aesthetics
  10. i like them, but i still think what you have is better at the moment. your wheels are what i want mine to look like just never seem to get round to the refurb
  11. I didn't think about this....... I'll soon have a Nismo 1 fitted with a mesh grill, is this means that I'll have the same problem in case I brake down? How do you fit this? and what colour would look best on a blade with black mesh? on the nismo, there is a marking circle on the square bit that sits in the middle of the grille. get them to cut it out, and make sure they don't put mesh over that bit. then you can add and remove your tow hook to your hearts content. red will suit, and is a common choice. but its up to you. mines got to be permanent, as i have the typhoon and the tow hook hole is used to secure the air scoop in the grille.
  12. if you brake down, car will be towed from the rear anyway if its a 2 wheel 2. for me its an access thing, currently you can't get at my front tow hook, so i want something permanent, i'd hate to brake down and find they can't get me off the hard shoulder because they cant pull me onto the low loader.
  13. i'd pay off a big chunk of the mortgage, or do the house extension i'm planning, or if it was going to a car, i'd probably get a cayman s
  14. check the OBDII thread, might be able to find someone local who has a code reader and can check it for yyou
  15. i love fiddy's car and seen it in the flesh several times and it does look great. the bumper suits his car, but i do find it elongates the front of the car. and i can't make my mind up if thats good or not. from the front its great, but side profile i can't decide. same with the other option, i like it, but its not that different. nismo has been done to death, what about the ings n spec or the do luck wivern
  16. i'll hopefully be there next friday, am booked in, will see what i can find out for you then ricky. if you have a list of questions write them down and i'll take them with me. or if you prefer i'll do a write up of my experience there. there are very few garages i'd trust my car with especially when it comes to playing with the ECU, but i feel quite happy for them to play with it. just have a look at their rep with things like the skylines. 350z are just a small part of what they do. but they do it very well. not heard from anyone on here who has had a bad experience, or a problem after. have heard of other tuning places that have.
