  1. i need somewhere to mount my plate, and i don't like any of the nissan mounting points, plus i find the plate very ugly, so for meets etc i like the ability to remove it for the clean front look
  2. This picture seems to solve the problem, if the mechanism is the same as the swiftmotorsports one then the fitting should be fairly easy. mount the front point to the bumper and then use the rear hanger to secure the rear section to the under tray.
  3. i'm in the same position, i reckon i can fit it underneath but i'll need to make up a mounting frame. when taking pictures earlier, i did look inside the grille, there is space in there, if your not on a nismo bumper, but you'll still need to build a custom cradle to mount it on even to fit in there. i think where ever it goes is going to require some work. i need to do something like this regardless as when i mount my towing eye hook up i'll need to find an alternative number plate location.
  4. really, she looks like she's been chasing parked cars
  5. Right i got out early and tried to take some pictures, i must admit with out a ramp its pain trying to figure stuff out under there. just used the normal wheel change jack from the back. didn't trust it enough to go right up, or for me to get right under. so this is what i got so far this is looking head on at the bumper, there should be an air diffuser at the front, which sticks down by about 1 inch from the side you can see its set back about 3 inches from the front of the nose this will need to be cut through or removed for fitting, not a major issue. now this is where we hit a slight snag the number plate bracket requires 9 inches from the tip of the nose on the front bumper to the back where it rests. the problem is that the undertray slopes up towards the engine after about 4-5 inches. but the saving grace is i've seen some bolt mountings which i think i can make a frame up for it to mount to. i'll sit down and do some drawings and see what i can come up with. if anyone else has some ideas please feel free to share
  6. i'd bomb round the m25 and go see abbey in surrey or DMS near brands hatch
  7. but if you didn't break the rule it wouldn't be an issue and being a cop and having a badge doesn't give you a get out of jail card, they should be just as liable for fines as the rest of us. i'm not saying i don't do things i shouldn't, but if you get pulled for it, you have to hold your hands up and take the wrap. yes some cops will give the benefit of the doubt and others won't i got done 6 years ago in wales for doing 93 in a 70 on a dual carriage way in wales, just outside bangor. first ever offense, got 3 points and a fine. he could have let me off he didn't but then he gave me the minimum possible. if i'd been an arse aboult it i'm fairly sure it would have been 6 points and £300 fine.
  8. yes there is a combo to do a throttle position reset
  9. That was my impression, but the dry looking cam coupled with oil residue, leads me to think it wasn't treated to regular oil changes or possible low oil level in Japan, and the tick is definitely louder with the cap removed, so the chance of it being external is slim. if your not happy with it walk away, gut instinct counts for a lot
  10. 350z engine tends to be pretty bullet proof, as long as they have been well maintained,
  11. what he said about the same price as the toyo, but a better tyre by a long way,
  12. leave it for now,we've got to the end of the week, before people go on holiday, should hopefully have info before then
  13. its the ones with a police baton up their arse that you have to be extra nice. if you don't feed their ego they like to think they can bend and shaft you for fun. i'd update your number plate, and keep your head down for a bit.
  14. you were being such a girl about it, i thought i'd pick an appropriate colour
  15. not that rich, the credit card might take the hit. we'll see what i can do. just got to wait for the in laws to go home, and i'll try and jack the car up and do some pics and working out.
  16. will try and have some details before the end of the week, will try and get under the car as soon as i can. might have a price for you before you go, if not i might sub you for it, and you can pay em when you get back
