  1. discs can be done at a later date if not i think CS does some OEM plain discs at not to massive a price.
  2. the people taking the mick are just upset they weren't invited. think what you like, we all know the truth at the end of the day the only person whos view counts is my wife, and she says i aint a bummer
  3. agreed a good choice pad, but might be out of the budget margin. but mitz at CS is the man to speak to as he also does the red and yellow stuff as well.
  4. i think EBC redstuff fall into that price, if you can stretch then the yellow stuff is a better option, think its about £120 for pads all round.
  5. decals and stickers are slightly different but no point splitting hairs. the issues i had raised before is people struggling to get them straight, all i've done is put together a comprehensive guide to doing, like prepping the surface, the best way of aligning and how to avoid getting things on the wonk. if your more than capable of fitting decals then whats the problem, this guide obviously isn't for you. as for official and unofficial debate; has this not been covered in depth over a very long time and is an extremely boring one. i can pick a selection of things on this forum which are copies, and because they're from official traders its perfectly fine. i do it and all of a sudden its an issue. what a surprise. if you have a problem with the vinyl work it might be worth you PM'ing me rather than making a point on here. the issue is not the vinyl the thread was a guide for fitting if you don't need help then don't read it. but some people do struggle and not everyone wants to pipe up and say they struggle with it. yes you might be a "modding genius" and the technicalities of fitting decals is as easy as farting in the morning for others it isn't. and as said before if you want to discuss the finer ins and outs of copies do it on a fresh thread, or get the mods to split this one.
  6. its more that things i rmeember the kids know nothing of. for instants beavis and butt head are non existant in the under 16's brain as is mask tony hart finger mouse marathon bars the list goes on. anyways back to stupid places to take a car
  7. because lots of people are to stupid to check else where and just renew with out asking questions. i'm with admiral, and have been for 3 years, but every year my renewal is always higher than previous. with a bit of ringing around and getting quotes. have gone back and ended up back with them and saving another £200 on the previous year. its all a game. why they play it is a pain. keeping customer loyalty is not a priority
  8. and your comments are helpful how? the guide was there for fitting vinyl its no different to sticking a club sticker on the car, if you have nismo parts on your car what's wrong with advertising the point on your B-pillar. its meant to be a guide not a discussion point. if you have a problem with it or want to discuss it further, why not start a new thread on the forum and do it there.
  9. 28 here, we're still young, but with more life experience
  10. at that age they're never wrong, even when they are
  11. Nope, not according to me, but according to EBC themselves. Mechanics at Autofit Ipswich were told by EBC not to fit Yellowstuff to any thing other than a plain disc. thanks for filling in the gaps, i remembered you mentioning it, but couldn't remember all the facts.
  12. just out of interest bennett where did you get the % increase in performance over stock brembo data?
  13. haha! Before my first car, I used my mum's Nissan Micra 1.0 (the bubble shape one), the poor thing was ragged all day long, fantastic handbrake turns.... i learnt to J-turn in my mums metro i say learnt it was more that i used it for practising in. when i have kids that are that age i will get the the cheapest piece of metal with the smallest engine in.as i know exactly what they'll go and do.
  14. according to BM you shouldn't use Yellow stuff pads with anything other than a plain disc. they aren't designed for grooved or drilled discs. ferodo DS2500 are a popular choice and i think there is a version above that as well if you want to be more track focused. the Dixcel setup is meant to be very good if you have more to spend. and possibly if your FI a more suitable option.
  15. the nismo's look lost in those arches, but the spacers are a good idea. i may well spray mine when i do the wheels
  16. someone was selling them but they went in about 48 hours, and it was about 3 months ago
  17. I was kinda wondering too... nope i've had people ask before how to fit them, so while doing fakeindians i put the guide together. if you don't need it then its not an issue, but some people don't always know.
  18. I did it a while ago with a different CF vinyl, never took any pics, well non that i can find on here, but i did the rear strut brace at the same time viewtopic.php?f=26&t=21548&hilit=carbon+vinyl It has a more gloss carbon finish than the di-noc, but its not as easy to work with when you fancy a new challenge try skinning them in CF viewtopic.php?f=9&t=27928&hilit=+b+pillars good effort though. i do like the di-noc. definite good choice i'm playing around with it at the moment as well viewtopic.php?f=26&t=33450&hilit=carbon+vinyl+di+noc+experiment its got lots of potential, will be doing my proper jobs with it soon. Just out of interest, would it not be a good idea to post up each section you do in single threads, its all well and nice to have one jumbo mod thread but as it grows more and more stuff will get lost in it, or be hard to find. you could cut and paste out the bits that other people haven't done yet and add them to the guide section.
  19. lol at the mirror comment i nearly ripped my wing mirrors off in frustration
  20. For those with Scotts Carbon B- pillars This fitting guide may prove helpful viewtopic.php?f=35&t=34344&p=512408#p512408
